The software has definitely had bugs and the navigation (menu,settings,etc) leaves quite a bit to be desired but the performance and picture quality is almost impossible to beat at the price point.

Buggy OS - TCL 55R646

Erratic behaviors - shuts off, volume spikes, doesn't recognize verbal cues, etc. Unplugging helps. Wish Google allowed me to download the Xfinity app so I could stream my providers expensive programming easily. The integration with the cable box is very cumbersome and frustrating. They also don't let me download the TCM App. Not sure if ROKU version would have been better?! Thus far disappointed. May return.

Everything runs well surprisingly! After hearing reviews about the bugs it had, it seems like it’s not longer the case because since day 1 I haven’t had any random shut offs or anything. I love this tv so far and hope it lasts.

TCL + Google is a mistake I would not make again

My first TCL was a Roku TV and I loved it. I am very sorry I bought another not knowing that they had switched to Google TV and how endlessly frustrating it is. I hate Google TV and would never buy another.

Other than that its a fine tv

Great Mid Range TV

The baked in Google TV is also very fast which was not the case on the last "budget" TCL I bought. I use this TV mainly as an outside TV and it does have the brightness necessary and it also has low reflectivity which is nice.

There have been some instances with the OS where the TV just completely shuts off or becomes unresponsive and I have to pull the power and hard reset it for it to work properly again.

Amaxing quality at a budget price

Great peak brightness, 120hz display, and very low latency for gaming made this perfect for my needs.
