Unfortunately the operating system is terribly glitchy; the remote is often unresponsive so pausing, changing the volume, etc. is a gamble. I need to restart every time I want to use the casting feature.

Three year life for a TV? Wut?

Recently the image on the screen is corrupted by a large faint green cast dead center surrounded by a purple cast on both sides. The image seems to be deteriorating fast. Clearly, this is a defective product, but TCL will not do anything to compensate me for that fact. They might have stepped up to their failure--one which is reported widespread on the internet. But, no. I am forced to buy another TV. After a mere three years. My new TV will not be a TCL product . . . your new TV should not be either.

Pretty, but HDMI cuts out

GoogleTV ruins this great TV. Stick with Roku!

The colors pop, and the blacks look pretty good considering this isn’t an OLED and costs a fraction of one. Unfortunately, GoogleTV is complete trash. The software is extremely slow and unresponsive and the UI is not very user friendly and intuitive. Get the Roku model! Even with the slightly better specs on this model, the Roku TV just works and it looks just as great. TCL should really just stick with Roku for their UI.

Not ready for prime time.

I have the 75 inch 635 model (roku), and was excited to get the upgraded model as a bedroom tv, but I am regretting the purchase greatly. Pros- great picture, good sound, lots of picture options. Cons- took more than 2 hours to get started the first use apps crash constantly (after doing the software updates still does it). all the apps crash if you hit the settings button. HBO max does not render correctly. getting to the sleep timer is a 5 step process. lots and lots of ads. the 635 model with roku is the far superior set.

Short life before breaking.

But the reason for my low rating is that 3 weeks after the warranty expired the sound began to shut off intermittently. When this happened the remote would no longer control the TV and the physical power button stopped working. I have to unplug the TV to get it working.
