Good value, decent sound

A little confusing to figure out how to use Bluetooth and change settings because the instructions that came with it don’t tell you much. It definitely makes my TV sound better, I can actually hear the dialogue when watching movies & shows now. Volume level is a little weird though, it needs to be set at around 30 to hear anything, and when watching a movie I have to turn it up almost all the way. I wish it had an on-screen interface for changing settings, but it was one of the cheaper models so I guess I can’t really complain.

Technical issues sour a good unit

I would hope this was a rare occurance, but I've personally experience many technical issues with mulitple TCL products. In regards to the alto 6+, it has a frequent habit of the subwoofer unpairing with soundbar unit. Multiple times the soundbar turns on automatically via the HDMI Arc connection, but is unable to trigger the subwoofer to connect, very frustrating. To this day I cannot find any solution to this problem, other than unplugging and replugging the subwoofer to get it to sync. The TCL website is useless, all of their FAQ pages lead to blank screens. I continue to hope an update will occur to solve the issue, if it doesn't soon I may return the product. As other reviews state, there are very limited sound adjustment controls. You have three pre-calibrated sound profiles to choose from; movie, music, and tv. I recommend the tv sound profile as this provides the clearest dialog. The subwoofer provides a decent bass, though can be overpowering depending on your selected sound profile. When it works it's a great compact sounbar unit, unfortunately for me it just simply doesn't always work.
