Couldn't get consistent reception, unfortunately

Perhaps we should've tried placing it in a dozen different places, but we didn't buy it to have to be a slave to placement. Back to the store it goes, and we'll cut the cord AND the air and just figure something else out.

I haven't made a permanent setup

I think that Best Buy sales guys didn't really know what they were talking about. I got advised to buy both the smaller Amplified antenna by one guy and a passive antenna by another... and return which one which didn't work. It did the job it needs it to... but all in all, it's rather "orientation" sensitive. Alan took one home from the store, and it did the job I needed it to.
