Although I’ve heard you can install this yourself, I opted to hire an electrician to connect it to my home’s breaker box. Once that was done, it was very easy to finish setting it up and charging my Model Y. You can set scheduled charging to have it charge at certain times of the day. Pro tip: check with your electrical provider to find out when their ‘off-peak’ hours are, it is significantly cheaper to charge during these hours than the rest of the day.

The wall connector is the best option, if possible, for home charging. It gives the fastest level 2 charging. Keep in mind the cost to install, however. If the electric panel is not close by, and a long run is needed, the cost can escalate very quickly. There are other options you can discuss with an electrician, such as converting an existing outlet to 20 amps, 240 V, or both that will be cheaper, and still provide a decent rate of charge. It is also possible to use an existing 120v outlet, thought the rate of charge will be quite slow.

Works as expected. Looks good. Interface to the charger is very basic and possibly insecure if someone can access it physically . They should have integrated it with tesla app.
