I like Tetris, which is why this is a good game. If I loved Tetris, this would be a great game.

Tetris Effect is a visual and auditory treat that bombards your senses with exploding colors and punchy electronic songs, but its real accomplishment is combining this with the nature of Tetris. Retaining the precise gameplay while also marrying it effectively with the beat of a drum. Tretris Effect is meditative, exciting and incredibly difficult to put away.

Game is classic tetris plus new features in gameplay, what's not to like there? However the music in the game is overrated and the use of a usb drive to replace the music of your own preference is highly suggested and mandatory. You can add Dark Knight Rises soundtrack to the fire background stage to great effect. Or Man of Steel soundtrack to the stage with the illuminated blue sea animals. It goes well together. There are plenty of other special effects added to the simple 2d graphics. However, just listening to some of the music in the game is pure torture. The reviewers rating the music so high are obviously high themselves. Lumines also had many examples of the same type of horrendous music. It seems like the only decent music in these Mizuguchi puzzle games were the Genki Rockets songs because they tended to be catchy rather than annoying. Let's talk about the stupid song that everyone raved about when this game came about. "Weere all 2-gethah".....that is such a lame song there should be a warning label on the package. Then after that comes a level with this rap song and monochrome background that sounds like it was ripped off from WWE superstar R-Truth, except it is so bad that R-Truth sounds 100 times better. "What's Up - Golden Truth remix" would definitely be a better choice for the soundtrack then this trash. What's with the music in these games nowadays anyways? Most of the other music in the game have no lyrics. Some are decent but alot of them aren't.

With this product you get everything you expect and then some. VR will enhance it but its not necessary. Surround sound recommended.
