Dream Theater does it again with "The Astonishing". A masterpiece of musicality. It might be a bit long for some to listen to it in its entirety but I think it is definitely worth your time.

I have been a fan of DT since I&W came out 25 years ago. I know a lot of DT fans love The Astonishing but I'm not one of them. I bought it the day it came out, listened to it twice and now it just sits on my desk collecting dust. Get it if you're a completest but don't expect classic DT on this one.

Another great cd by dream theater. Although they are starting to become mellow

Dream Theater + an orchestra + a choir + an organ = A Great Rock Opera in Two Acts. If you are a DT fan, don't think it twice. These musicians are at the top of their game. An epic release.

2 discs, over 2 hours long, Astonishing is an incredible feat, an awesome story, and a surprisingly accessible album from the masters of prog metal, Dream Theater.

An amazing new album from the kings of progressive metal! Their best music since Black Clouds and Silver Linings. Very cinematic material and amazing to see live.

I thought it was MELLOW . Hollywood theme music for sure.

Great concept CD that brings you back to what this band is known for. Amazing from start to finish and easy to want to listen to it all over again.

More of the same from one of the best rock bands. These guys are at the top of their game and deliver a great performance.

It's Dream Theater, need I say more. If you enjoy rock operas and good prog rock, you should enjoy this.

Long-time DT fan, but I don't get it. Long, boring, soft, full of ballads, no bass, a troubling direction. Plus the story is mundane. Only a DT apologist would recommend. Huge disappointment.

I was a little disappointed in this album it felt like it drug on unnecessarily. It was hard to get through the entire album and when I was done listening I felt like something was missing.

Dream Theater can't miss! Love these guys and can't wait to see them play this album live in a week.

A two "act" musical play that is complex and diverse. High energy rock with symphonic overtones.

I bought the CD for my husband, Chris! He loves them and this album dose not disappoint!
