    Overall, a well done film. I'm partial to the original animated show from the 80's, but I bought this for my son as he read the book for school. He loved it, as did the rest of the family. I've never seen the sequels, but I enjoyed this one. Didn't have the emotional oomph of the animated film, but overall I recommend it.

    While this film does not compare to its contemporary, The Lord of the Rings, it still manages to bring about an entertaining movie. Great special effects and a good cast, I actually chuckled that the gain was played by the actor who portrayed young Charles Xavier whose name eludes me right now.
