Games like this and the other "Dark Pictures" installments are great for more casual gamers, as they are very accessible. My wife and I love playing these types of games together, and we really enjoyed this latest entry in the series. Don't let the negative reviews influence you--this game has an excellent story and strong characters. While we still would choose "House of Ashes" as are favorite in the series, this is a close second, surpassing the quality of "Man of Medan" and "Little Hope." One thing to note--if you pre-ordered the game and didn't receive the code for the Curator's Cut (thanks for dropping the ball on that, Best Buy), its best to contact Bandai-Namco (the publisher) directly. They sent me a code within 24 hours.

You know what you're getting going into this one if you've played the others in the series. It's not the best game they've made, but it's solid.

The Devil in Me... more like a Saw copycat!

As the final game for the Dark pictures anthology (Season 1), I expected much more than what we got! Bland characters but great voice acting / motion capture, great setting and great villain! But the Saw-like traps in the game was alright and the "Choices" you make don't really mean anything by the end.
This is probably my 2nd least favorite out of the games and the replayability is kinda low not going to lie. But then again all the others one got low replay value. I would rather replay Until Dawn / The quarry than this though.

If you are into horror games this is a fun game to play by yourself or with friends. Jump scares and quick decisions make up the experience.

The worst of The Dark Pictures games but still ok

Sadly, this is the worst of The Dark Pictures Anthology games, and the worst of all of the Supermassive games. Just in case you have not played them all, you will want to play Until Dawn, Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Quarry, and then this one. Out of all of them, this is the worst, and I was THIS close to giving it just two stars. While the other games "make sense" in terms of horror games, this one, sadly, does not. I cannot give much away due to spoilers, but even if you uncover every last item and read every item in the game, the ending still makes no sense. Also, this is by far the shortest of the Dark Pictures games. Most likely this is due to the majority of the team on this having worked on The Quarry at the same time, but I can't say for certain. This is still a must-buy if you have enjoyed their other games, and the other five game are OUTSTANDING. This, though, falls far short, but one miss in six game is still a good record. Overall, it's recommended, but by adding in these bizarre collectibles, taking out trophies/achievements for heart/brain decisions, etc., they kind of assasinated their own franchise.

Awesome game just like all the past games these developers made. Film crew gets trapped in a mansion full of death traps and a cereal killer. What’s not to love!! Fun to play. Highly recommended.

Overall it is a great game. The first day it had a lot of bugs. After the update things got better, I feel like they released it too early, or maybe my expectations were too high.

This game compiles everything the developers have learned making the past games, and put it all together in a way thats familiar but refreshing
