Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the gameplay, citing it as fabulous and fun with excellent graphics. Many also appreciate the vast amount of content and the expansive open world, although some experienced occasional lag depending on internet connection. While the story is considered good, a persistent concern is the requirement of an internet connection to play.

The game advertises on the packaging that additional purchase(s) is not required if you choose not to play online; however, when starting the game, I was never given any other option and it asked me to sign-up or be unable to play the game.

Attacks and spells have no real impact. Nothing feels like it hits the enemy. The quest structure is very sound, though. The classes can be very diverse. I just could not keep myself playing this game and went back to Heavensward.

This is a GREAT MMO for anyone.

It has a little something for everyone. You don't even have to pay per month to play after March. *If you're into the story line, they have voice acting to keep the questing more of a story being told and experienced. They're painless, too. Most of the time sitting and listening to the dialog takes longer than the quest. It does force you to explore a bit in some cases, but once you get on track, you don't seem to lose your way like in some games. **If you're into strategic combat that you have a good amount of control over your character.. This is better than any MMO. Second only to Dark Souls. ***If you're looking for graphics. I think the graphics of this game are better than even Guild Wars 2. That's saying something, boys. ****Granted the learning curve is a little steep at the very beginning. So, join a guild and ask questions. I haven't ran into an elitist dungeon dorkmaster yet. It's a great community. This game has real depth to it. It's fun, boys. Hope to see you on the Grid!

This game was not for me, the trailer looks awesome but the style of massive open world is not for me even tho it looks awesome...I feel lonely in it and don't feel immersed into the game

Very repetitive, same thing every quest: go find this item, go report to this person. Can't kill guards. Nothing like previous offline elder scroll games

Game is nothing like I thought it'd be. Bad combat play. Overly difficult game play. Good graphics though.

I was excited to purchase the game after reading the description on the back. Didn't realize that you had to have online access in order to play the game at all. Can't play without online access. Returned it the next day. Should be clearly marked that online access is 100% required, otherwise it'll be collecting dust.

PS4 - Here are the facts

    1. NO MONTHLY FEE 2. Unlimited gameplay I played ESO beta for both the PC and the PS4, and played the full version on the PC for a weekend about 2 weeks ago. The PS4 has the benefit of getting all the updates and improvements the PC version has gotten since launch. A lot of improvements have been made to the game since the beta phase and it is far more solid than its original inception. In any case, the PS4 version is beautiful and runs at a solid 60fps with very rare cases of drops (it is a beta after all). The gameplay was fantastic and I found myself far more engaged and wanting to play than the PC counterpart. The controls are familiar and simple. The interface for modifying and interacting with your character is quite complex and confusing but with a little time it becomes manageable and easier to use. Every interaction is voice acted which is a welcomed surprise for an MMO of this size. The game doesn't feel like Skyrim but rather an earlier iteration in the series which predates and sets up the events which lead to Skyrim. There is an abundance of lore and historical information that fans of the Elder Scroll Series will enjoy as I have. The mechanics of smithing, enchanting, and potion making are different than Skyrim but very familiar and will not take long to grasp; this is because they have to maintain balance in the MMO world but the changes are acceptable (no better nor worse). I enjoyed the gear and rarity item system which is familiar to any MMO (if unfamiliar with rarity think Borderlands color scheme for gear) and it was very rewarding to find higher rarity items. I also enjoyed the ability to fight alongside other players; I found this annoying when I played the PC but on the PS4 it felt more cooperative than competitive when slaying enemies. This is especially true for the dungeons (raids), of which I was able to complete 3 different ones. It takes strategy and coordination with good communication, but unlike Destiny there is a matchmaking system to help you find a raiding crew and meet new people in the process. All 3 raids were challenging (some much more than others), but what I found particularly enjoyable was that they were all very different. None of the 3 raids felt like any of the others and each had their own quest (just remember to start the quest when you enter or miss out on the loot at the end as I did the first time!) which were interesting and had their own unique challenges. If you enjoy TES and want to play alongside your friends then you will enjoy this game a lot. If you are a die hard MMO fan then this will feel less like an MMO and more like a cooperative campaign with MMO elements but if you enjoy TES you will like it as well. This game is a great way to play a new Elder Scrolls on a next gen system alongside your friends. With ten races, 3 different factions (and storylines), and four different classes to choose from the possibilities are entirely your own. With challenge mode activating after level 50 (after many many hours I only made it to 12) with new raids and ability upgrades this game is well worth the $60 to play. This doesn't even include the PvP areas (sorry can't comment as I did not try). After playing the beta I immediately preordered and now can't wait for its release; it was a very exciting and enjoyable game I can't wait to continue!

So deceiving. The outside package specifically states that you DO NOT have to pay a fee to play this game online. However, when you download the game, you can not play it online without a fee nor could you play the game in house. DO NOT buy this game.

don’t even get it. I think it’s quite bland, I’d settle for a remastered Skyrim with no multiplayer instead. Feels like a very very very scuffed version of elder scrolls.
