I started playing the Elder Scrolls series with Oblivion. Skyrim takes the gameplay to a whole new level. The graphics are outstanding and the fighting has been streamlined. 3rd person view is much-improved and the detail on items is incredible. I also really like the changes in the leveling and magic seems much easier to use. (Dual-wielding spells is awesome!!) I do think the main storyline is weaker than Oblivion but still good. There are vastly more quests available for the person who just likes to do their own thing Awesome game! Must-have!

Everything about this game is awesome! I would recommend this game to anyone, even people who have never played this style of game before. Its a great game to kill time and play when other friends aren't online. If you own a 360, then you should own this game.

Everything is great but the game does have some glitches and locks up. the autosave helps but sometimes you do lose quite a bit of progress. It's a huge map, you can spend a lot of hours on it

    GREATEST ADVENTURE GAME EVER MADE!!!

STORY LINE- VERY FUN AND ADVENTUROUS, CHALLENGING AND MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT QUEST. THERE ARE ALOT OF THINGS YOU CAN DO IN SKYRIM INSTEAD OF JUST QUESTS. GRAPHICS- REALLY GOOD, BUT THE GAME DOES HAVE GLITCHES, ONE OR TWO OF THEM MAY NOT LET YOU EARN YOUR ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH XBOX. THATS THE ONLY WAY I CAN EXPLAIN IT, ITS WORTH BUYING AND TRYING IT OUT FOR YOURSELF I CAN GUARENTEE ANYBODY THAT IT DOES NOT DISSAPOINT.

This is the only game I don't have to take a break from because of bordem. I've been playing it ever since I got it at midnight on the release date, and I don't think ill ever be able to do everything there is to do in Skyrim. There is imense detail in everything you see around the whole map. For me Skyrim rivals or maybe even beats Zelda Ocarina of Time, which I think is saying something.

    A nice time sink

This game is pretty simple. The story isn't that engaging, but there are a ton of side quests to do. There's a lot of walking and loading screens to sit and wait for. There's tons of bugs in the game though, which will prevent certain quests from being completed, as well as a few game breaking bugs that force you to load a previous save and do things differently. The game is long though, so if you're looking for a game to spend hours and hours to complete, this is it for you. Took me well over 100 hours to complete every side quests (the non-dynamic ones) and the main storyline.

    Masterpiece of the art form

It has been a long time since I have seen such attention to detail. Every piece of this game fits well. Many RPGs tend to cram in things that do not fit the setting, but everything in this game fits together. The effects of snow blowing over ridges as you climb mountains is spot on. There are many quests and varying plots to follow.

    Very frustrating

The story is good, just as in Oblivion and the characters are very well defined but the game play is very frustrating. Even on the easiest setting (novice) combat is ridiculously difficult. I'm at level 15 and get killed by a bear. I move from location to location and get attacked by dragons that just appear...and you can't run away from them and I can't figure out how to defeat them. I get jumped by 3 or 4 bandits and no matter how high my combat skills are I get hit by magic and lose half my health points in one strike. I don't get it. I lowered the difficulty as low as it could go and still at level 15 my warrior is a frustrating embarrassment. It could be me I grant you, but I thought Oblivion was much more fun. I've saved at a place where you can't proceed any further until you kill a frost dragon. I even have two companions with me. It always attacks my character and ignores the companions even when they repeatedly hit it with arrows and spells. I've tried to get past the dragon using every weapon and spell combo I have and i've died 13 times. I'm nearing the point where the frustration is sapping any joy out of the game. Leveling up does next to nothing to improve your abilities. The dragon I get. But running into one every 30 minutes out in the world is a serious pain when you can't escape them or kill them. Getting attacked by a bear and getting killed 3 or 4 times before you get a lucky critical hit on it just ain't all that much fun after 30 minutes. Maybe others are having an easier time of it than I am but I'm losing patience. My sword hits do pathetic damage even when I use a power attack. My stamina is massive yet I run out of steam after 3 or 4 swings and can't even run away. I don't remember Oblivion being this way. I'm probably one of the few reviewers who is somewhat disappointed by Skyrim. Its difficult to enjoy the great story when it is frequently interrupted by stupid and unavoidable deaths and be forewarned...the game has many, many load points and the load times are ponderous. There are places where you have to load to go into a building and then suffer another load if you go into some of the interior rooms. Ponderous.

One of the best games that I have ever played! I love the graphics and audio. Most of the game play looks like a movie and sounds like it is right in the room with me. I especially love how it is never ending! I would recommend getting the guide with it though.

Beautiful and mammoth, Skyrim is overfilled with missions and tasks, conversations and relationships. Need to forget life for a while, this is the world you've been waiting for. Immediate thrust into the storyline from the second you start. Choose your own path, do whatever you like- or just wander. Menu design is intuitive and easily navigated, the inclusion of a "favorites" menu accessible via one button makes battles a joy. Not safe for hoarders... you will collect everything! Install it. PC, PS3, or Xbox 360... you will play for hours- keep your system cool. (a constantly spinning disc does not)

    HUGE

First off, this is my first Elder Scrolls game, but I am hooked. Game is fantastic and can be played SOOOO many different ways. The main quest is pretty weak, and ridiculously short. But if you ignore that and play the side quests, it's just amazing. And unbelievable how big this game is. The side stories and branches are what this game is about. I don't recommend following main quest too often, or it'll be over before you know it. After about 60 hours, I beat it, but only because I didn't realize how short main quest is (most of those hours were on side quests). Game doesn't end when you beat it, but I am looking forward to starting from scratch and making different choices and playing it differently. I wont touch main quest this time.

I have never played an elder scrolls game before so when I heard about this game I was skeptical, but I bought it anyway because everyone said it was so much fun. After the first couple hours I was wondering what everyone was talking about because I was not having fun, but once I did a few main quest missions and stopped wandering around, I was having a blast. The leveling up system is great and there are so many cool missions and items. The best part of this game is discovering new potions, weapons, and spells. This game has so much content I cant even cover it all. Just get it and give it a chance.

Amazing Story Telling/Epic First Person Fights

I have played all the predecessors to Skyrim(Morrowind and Oblivion) and if this is anywhere near the same level as those games were to their time this will be what people have been waiting for. It has already won the Game of the Year and multiple other awards as proof of what kind of a game we are all waiting for on 11.11.11(Smexy date). If you are into RPG's, quest lines, mid-evil warfare including magic, and 100's of hours of play time without getting bored...this game is for you. Some cool new features coming out compared to Oblivion is dual-wielding, a fresh new magic system with much more magical opputunities than before, and a new "Class" system of a sort. Since this game has not been completely released yet we only know details but it is sure to wow and amaze. I put it at a 3 for challenge b/c at no point is it "difficult" to beat but just right. There is a setting to change the difficulty all the way from super easy to impossible though. Not saying its bad just its not hard.
