Much better than the first game. Has open world aspects to it, Didn't feel like too much of just a silent hill clone

I liked the first Evil Within game but the second one I love! Great story, gameplay, and graphics. If you like to be scared then I suggest you get this game!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first Evil Within game. The reviews were not the best, however, and I honestly thought that the sequel would never see the light of day. It did and boy did it surpass its brethren. I am loving the in depth attitude of the second game. It is much more open world which causes the game to last longer and feel more full. I do wish some of the same characters (or similar ones) were there such as the Keeper. I do feel a slight lack of creepy creatures at times. I am on chapter ten and I love to keep on pushing through it.

Love the open world feel to the game. Gameplay is what you'd expect and is similar to the first game. Nice survival horror feel, especially toward the end when resources were scarce.

Evil Within messed me up! And now it continues... INTENSE survival horror game!! Makes you feel like there is no safety, edge of your seat type of game. With how amazing the graphics are and the story telling it really puts you in the game, I have surround sound too so you really feel like you are submerged into it. Be prepared to scream with those things popping out at you! But be aware it is a tad slow in the beginning. But this game is worth it, one of the best survival horror games out there.

If you played the first one then this game is definitely for you. Improved gameplay, graphics, and an even better story line.

The evil within 2 has a storyline that is unique with horror element which draws you in. You can't but help being amazed by it if you are interested in horror genere .

Great open world layout. Allows you to play the game you want and at your own pace. Tons of great memorable moments.

i liked the first one. this one is better in my opinion. i like the outdoor/kind of open world element adds a lot of depth to the game crafting/searching for material adds a lot of replay value to the game (especially on the hardest mode) every bullet counts... exploring never feels like a chore and the map is just big enough that you can walk/run everywhere without getting annoyed probably not as scary as RE 7 but just as good this is DEF a game worth full price.

The game itself starts off as open world, which was a fun change of pace. But ultimately I was looking for more of a linear experience for the story vs environmental scares. Worth checking out if you're a fan of horror and the original. Personally, I enjoyed RE7 more. (Just a note: the game does not come bundled with the preorder bonus. I was very displeased with the way Best Buy handled the preorder bonus - they assumed Bethesda was including it in the package, which it did not. Best Buy did not notify customers, but they did follow up with the code via email weeks later.)

This game far exceeded my expectations. It has the right mix of action, horror, suspense, and pure fun. Although it follows the first game, you don't need to play it to understand everything in this game. The story is convoluted regardless for the most part and is most enjoyed for its gameplay.

Great game. Builds on the first game very well. If you like dead space or resident evil, you'll love this.

If you're a fan of the original game you will like this one very similar with the taste of Silent Hill

Lots of variety in scenery and enemies, good story, and semi open world make for a gun game.

I enjoy horror games and this one really delivers more of suspense and thriller. Very fun!

This is the only real survival horror title on the market, and not just another slow first person shooter/hallway simulator. The sequel is far more balanced which does much to alleviate the crushing difficulty of the first. The graphics engine is also improved so the game looks and performs much better then the original. Playing the original is not required as the game will catch you up
