Coming from the creator of the Resident Evil series, The Evil Within is a nice change of pace from the shooters and sports games currently flooding the market. While the decision to include some questionable carry-overs from older survival horror games may turn some players off (seriously, what kind of detective gets winded THAT fast?), horror fans should not miss out.

if you're looking for a serious challenge and like horror this is it. Not a quick game and very gory. This makes resident evil look like a child's game.

Solid game. Good story line for the most part it's smooth gameplay.

This game fills the survival horror game in the industry and is visual stunning with a compelling story. However, the difficulty level was high. This is great for survival horror enthusiasts, but locks out more casual players from having an enjoyable experience. A great game for fans, but not so friendly for casual players.

Survival Horror is a dying breed. This does a pretty good job at it. If you are a silent hill and/or resident evil fan, get this. While its not a perfect game, (some graphical glitches and a weird story) its a good buy for around $30-40. If you did not pick this up on Black Friday, wait for it to go on sale. Its worth it.

Worth the $. We have the game on 360 and XBox One. Initially thought it would be the same but the graphics are much better and some graphics have been added on for the XBox One such as additional blood splatter and some other things added in for your enjoyment. The game play is slightly different but not by much depending on the setting. There are various items that will or won't be in various scenes. Those that have played the game would know what I'm referring to.

Reminds me of a cross between two of the best horror franchises, which are Resident Evil and Silent Hill. This game is brutal, and you will die a lot, but when you succeed, you do get a sense of accomplishment . You are rewarded for thinking through the problems the game throws at you and trying a different approach.

Very creepy game, but kind of a fast play through. Would rather rent, but still enjoyed the ride nonetheless.

I didn't play this game. It's a Christmas gift for my son. The sales associate highly recommend this game.

In the classic Resident Evil style. Should take at least 15 hours to finish. Story is somewhat disjointed. Good replay value. Three available expansions. Overall very impressive... Hoping for a sequel.

Genre keeps getting better, and this game is fantastic. Highly recommended to fans of this type of game.

This game was great. Well written story, challenging (but not too challenging), and had replay ability.

The game is scary, like really scary. It uses every old tactic in the book to scare the living $#!÷ out of you. It's plain mind blowing at times. The only real cons are ammo shortages, frame rate a little chopped at times, and not really an intuitive story. Still, a must play, at least once thru.
