A Good Change Of Pace

A Return to SURVIVAL Horror
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GOOD: Gameplay; controls; graphics; focus on survival over combat BAD: "Letterbox" picture; Story is not bad, but is cliche The Evil WIthin is directed by the man who created the Resident Evil series, and it shows. But unlike the later Resident Evil games, The Evil Within is a return to survival horror, with an emphasis on survival. While this is technically a third person shooter, you won't be shooting as much as you think. You'll be running, hiding, sneaking and praying the game doesn't force you to use what little ammo you will have. You are going to die in this game. A lot. It can get frustrating, but never feels unfair. If a part seems too difficult to get through, you may need to find another approach. Overall, this game is very intense, and has some pretty graphic violence. If you're a fan of Resident Evil 4 and like a challenge, then this game is for you.
