I ordered online, they arrived worth damage and scratched discs. I was able to bring them back and exchange them without hassle. I wanted to open them there before the associate left (in parking lot due to coronavirus pandemic) but they were swamped with customers. Brought it home to find no scratches on the discs, but one of the cases was broken. Other than exchanging damaged items for more damaged items, the movies are favorites of mine, along with the LOTR trilogy. Extended editions of all are a must.

The Hobbit Trilogy could have been so much better. Following in the footsteps of the Lord of the Rings was no small challenge, however history did not repeat itself. While LOTR was a success on every imaginable level, the Hobbit movies came off as empty and hollow. I've read all of the books numerous times and to me the Hobbit movies were a bit of a disappointment. While they were beautifully filmed, the story line was not true to the nature of the book. These are OK movies that could have, and should have, been great.

Not as good as lotr trilogy it was forced and it shows a lot of too much but if you like that sort of thing then it might be for you. Most ppl it won’t be.

Mostly good but could have been made into two movies rather than three and would have been a stronger story.

These films CAN be fun, they can also be dull and slow. I wanted to see them all- and to be honest this trilogy is a little long. I wish he had stuck to the book more.

Asked my wife for lord of the rings and she came back with this, massive disappointment

I wish I had had time to buy this at the store and pay a lower price but I couldn't. I live 30 miles from the nearest Best Buy.

Honestly I bought this to complete the series but man do these movies drag. They look great but heavy on the CG this time around.

For entertainment value as a movie, very well done. However, if you have read the book, then the movie is extremely disappointing.

The Hobbit Extended looks great on my Sony Bravia XR 65 X95J Smart TV. But I have never seen such a spotted, smeary, oily, greasy mess on the case and discs!!! My new DVDs have very clean shiny play sides and the cases are normal clean plastic. What did this oil mess with smears and spots on the many discs and cases? I need an exchange. Also I discovered that my Lord of the Rings Extended set also has the same problem but I did not notice it at first until after I saw the mess on my Hobbit set. Has Best Buy seen and heard of this before? I like the movie but not the messy discs.

It was really really good price too! I couldn't get the BF out with out it

movie arrived late and when it did get here one of the box cases was broken..doesnt seem like a new item even tho it was bought “new”..disappointed but movie was good

Bought this set at the Oswego Best Buy. I’m a Blu-ray collector and was super disappointed when I opened one of the cases and the inside was broken. I could replace the case but they are “special” black cases.

Didnt have the hard case and had only a paper case unlike the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Didnt include the digital versions at all.
