What Works Well • The pixel-art presentation gets genuine praise. The backgrounds and sprite animation are well done, especially for a smaller budget title.  • For fans of the films, the use of familiar characters (Daniel LaRusso, Mr. Miyagi, Ali, Kumiko) and locations from the movies adds a fun nostalgic dimension.  • Local multiplayer (up to 4 players) is supported, which helps the game shine more when played with friends.  • The difficulty modes offer some variation, and there are little touches like level-up mechanics after each stage that try to add depth.  ⸻ Where It Falls Short • The combat, though serviceable, lacks the polish and depth of the best modern beat ’em ups. Nintendo Life rated it 5.7/10, noting the “slowish gameplay”, “minimal moveset”, and “really boring/repetitive encounters”.  • Replay value is limited. Some reviews mention the game can be completed rather quickly, and beyond the first playthrough there isn’t a strong incentive to keep going.  • Technical hiccups and gameplay oversights: GoNintendo highlights glitches (enemies failing to spawn, background clipping), lack of online multiplayer, and very little interaction with stage objects (no weapons or meaningful destructibles).  • The game draws inevitable comparisons to high‐quality modern beat ’em ups (like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge) and falls short in pacing, variation and innovation

Classic beat em up game based on Karate Kid movie. If your a fan of Karate Kid, then you will love this game.

Game was beautifully done, brought some fond memories of the original Karate Kid movie. Very fun game and surprisingly challenging, especially the level objectives.

As I game I would probably rate this 3 out of 5 stars, but as a Karate Kid fan, it is a 4 for me. It looks great and you play through a weird version (mostly because you can play as Ali or Kumiko) of the places you see in the movies. It's better than the 2 Cobra Kai games that cam out recently.

Nice beat-m-up, runs fine in the Nintendo Switch, no issues in the Switch2 either. Fun, pick-up-and-play.

Very cool game. The art style is old school classic 2D. Probably the best Karate Kid game we're going to get.

Radical Reggie recommended this game and did not disappoint. I haven’t played it all the way through but it’s got that 90’s feel almost like an arcade style game like Turtles in time. Not sure if this game is multi player but it would be an awesome game playing with a friend.

Bought for a kid for a fighting game that wasnt to gory or sexy. Checks those boxes while being engaging.

If you love the beatem ups, this is one you must add to your collection! At this price its a steal for entertainment! Fan of Karate Kid? This is a no brainer, must get!

Simple beat'em up just like the recent games like the turtles, double dragon, river city. Could have used more characters and more stages but its still fun to play alone or with friends. Easy to get into and not too hard.

Got this based on the screenshots. It is essentially a belt action arcade beat'em up. And in that vein it does well, and looks pretty good. But compared to the latest TMNT game and scott pilgrim this lacks a bit as the caracters are lacking and there are few to any unlockables to add vaule to replay. Its not bad if you like karate kid and clearce games just dont expect to much.

The graphics are vintage but great! It reminds me of the video games I used to play as a kid!!

Have not played it yet. Not sure when I’ll get to it with my backlog of video games. But I saw a review video and it peaked my interest

Picked this up on sale and I was suprised at how fun this game was. Nothing fancy. Just a beat'em up game.
