Poor storytelling. Not worthy of a purchase

What should have been another quality story-driven video game, instead became a tragic travesty of what is currently wrong in the video game industry and the hidden subterfuges and agendas that were forced into the Last of Us Part II. As a confirmed purchaser of the Ellie Edition, I was disappointed with the items included. It definitely does not warrant a high price of over $230+ tax. At best, it's worth $125 for the items included. The Ellie statue doesn't even look high quality - her face looks nothing like what Ellie looks like. The back pack is also of low quality and incredibly small. I would not recommend this game or edition for any fans of the original masterpiece. If you fell in love with the characters and masterful storytelling of the original, you will leave with a broken heart and a bad taste in your mouth in this horrible sequel.

But it really is a letdown storywise with some of the laziest and most complacent writing since GoT season 8 for confused writers with a misplaced-yet-entitled sense of grandeur. If they wanted to deconstruct the story and/or genre there were plenty of better ways to do it. But what did you expect ? Neil Druckmann hired a writer from the show Westworld to help him out, that should tell you everything you need to know.
