The game is great, graphics, gameplay, story, very satisfied with my purchase, though some may not like it.

A compelling story with intense combat and some of the best environments on the PS4. Must play!

I wont post spoilers, but all I will say is, keep the story in view with an open mind. Some things you may not like about this game if you really enjoyed the first game, as either personal preference or acknowledging strange narrative points. Definitely worth the playthrough despite the apparent flaws it has, and I understand why people on the internet were up in arms about certain things.

Love the gameplay. Great fine tuning from part one. And let’s all remember, Sarah died in the prologue of part 1. No. One. Is. Safe. This is a naughty dog foray into Spec Ops: The Line territory. I was worried BB would have been closed before I could finish at work today, so I played it safe and had it shipped. Apparently that’s the right move. How does a company as big as Best Buy not have preorders ready for pickup on release day?!?!

This game continues the insane, nail biting, glory of the first but makes it exponentially better! Gripping story and gameplay! Definitely a game of the year! Special edition doesn’t necessary come with a ton other than the metal collector case. If you’re in to collecting those it’s good but other than that the game is awesome just itself. Definitely recommend this game and all gamers should experience the greatness that is this game!

If you loved the original, this game definitely lives up. The story is fantastic- the flashbacks are nice little gems to help fill in the 5 yr gap. Even game mechanics have nice little tweaks - simple things you didn’t even know you were missing like being able to break glass windows to loot cars and display cases or vent frustration. If you’ve never played the original, go pick it up now. Seriously. Right now. You won’t regret it.

part 2 of the last of us was a great GAME. the gameplay was absolutely fantastic and a great survival horror game. however, the story portion of it wasn't quite as good as the 2013 original game. I dont necessarily hold it a ton against it, few games could ever be as good. bottom line, if you were a fan of the first one, I recommend this one, just keep story expectations in check

I thought the first Last of Us was perfect. It didn’t need a sequel. Playing through this has made me say I’m glad they made a sequel. Despite whatever agenda people think they’re pushing, this is a wonderful thing to play during these times. It reminds of how much we should get along before we tear each other apart. I never saw the spoilers and I’m glad. Play a potential game of the year. Not for the faint of heart for sure.

I pre-ordered this back in December and without a doubt it was worth the wait. I bought it as a gift, so i cannot get into the particulars but I can say that my son and his girlfriend have been enjoying this game from the minute I gave it to them. They are so happy with it. I wish it was a 2-player game, but I am not the one playing, I just know it would be nice if they could play at the same time!! Great game!!

On a technical level, this game is amazing. The story has some rough patches that could have had better execution, but I urge you to go in with an open mind. The gameplay is fantastic, the visuals are incredible, and has many hours of intense stealth action gameplay. Not exactly perfect and I do think the first one is better, but this is still a fun ride.

If you haven't done so already, you absolutely *need* to play the first "The Last of Us" game. Luckily, you can play "The Last of Us Remastered" on PS4 now, which has options for 4K and/or 60 FPS. I cannot recommend The Last of Us enough. "Part II" takes place 5 years after the events of the first game. So, if you want to know what's what, you definitely need to play the original game. Another thing to note is that this game will be very divisive as there are some narrative choices that were made by the writers very early on, but I greatly implore you to continue playing through to the end of the game, as it will all make sense and you will know *why* things happen the way they do. The gameplay is almost unchanged from the original title, so it'll be easy to pick up and play for those that have experienced the first title. Don't listen to the naysayers or critics. If you feel like you wanna play the game to see what the hype is all about, just do yourself a favor and get yourself a copy of this game. It's definitely a must-have for anybody that owns a PS4, and moreso for those that own a PS4 Pro. The Special Edition comes with a cool steelbook and a mini art book by Dark Horse comics. If you can't really afford the Collector's Edition or if you were not lucky enough to secure the highly sought-after "Ellie Edition", this Special Edition will more than suffice. I think the game and contents are well worth the $70.
