Please don't do yourselves a disservice and give this game a pass. It a fun, gritty game that deserves all the praise. Don't let the politics surrounding this game hinder your ability to enjoy it. Simply put, its just a game, jump in and have fun!

I’m playing the 2nd play through and enjoying every second of it. Don’t listen to the haters this game has made history with the most sales and may even be awarded game of the year. It took me about 40 hours to beat and was addictive from the start. 10 +

Everything other than the story is a top notch, the story moves to much in the past , present and future to ever get out of a second gear. I recommend this to any fan of the last of us. Just know the story's out of order.

There's a lot of hate due to the story, but they're just closed minded. It's okay to not like the game because of it, but only when you have played the game! I beat the game and it was amazing. Excellent gameplay, great graphics, and I loved the story.

Well, I finally finished it. I started it back when it launched and only got about 3/4 of the way through it before getting extremely bored and stopping. I finally powered through it this week and I'm hard-pressed to understand why I bothered. OK, believe me when I say that I didn't want to hate this game. I initially wasn't interested as it didn't look interesting, but then I saw the plot leaks. I was genuinely intrigued and thought it sounded interesting based off of the leaks as it sounded fairly bold and different (although not as different as people may have made it sound). Nevertheless, I ended up hating it and it is certainly the worst game I played in 2020. By far one of the most boring games I've played and with a ridiculous plot that doesn't explore its themes with any real nuance (imo of course). It feels like a very immature and hypocritical exploration of ideas such as tribalism, grief, and revenge. I honestly wish I hadn't bought it. So why did I give it three stars instead of one? Well, some people have been genuinely moved by it; and even though I hate it, I can see some of the qualities people will enjoy. It's not completely without value and it really is up to you how you feel about it. For me, my feelings about this game versus those who love it is almost like an extreme atheist arguing with an overzealous religious person. The atheist refuses to see its meaning for others, and the zealot can't help but pass moral judgement on those who don't like it. When it comes down to it, those who love it see a value that I just don't. That does not make those who love it stupid and it does not mean that I am lacking in moral character. There's far too much accusations of bad faith between the two camps, which is one of the reasons I think its tribalism message doesn't work. Rather than encouraging attempts to see each other in good faith, it caused everyone to fight even more. If you choose to get it, I truly hope it has value for you. If it does, however, I ask that you don't treat those who dislike it as if they're inherently bad or stupid people, you would be doing the game's message a disservice. If you get it and hate it, I understand, but please do not treat those who love it with anything but the respect they deserve as well. I can't give it a recommendation, but I can't actively say not to play it either as it's not a broken mess by any means (well, except for its ridiculous plot structure). Meh, I hated it.

All I can say is holy.... crap.... such an immersive story and ability to pull at the heart strings. BUT it is super violent. Much more so than most games in the sense that its real life not aliens or whatever but people on people brutality.

Technically outstanding! Gameplay is phenomenal and the atmosphere created is terrific. The story might divide some players, but that doesn't make it a bad game. People spend HOURS playing random shooters with no story at all...try it for yourself.

TLOU2 of one of those games that is so good, it makes other games hard to go back to. It feels like a preview of next generation games, undoubtedly some of the best third person combat I've ever experienced. This is Naughty Dogs best game yet.

If you were a fan of the first one, this is a solid follow up with new enemies, new weapons, more comprehensive strategies, and it's significantly more difficult. It has some Uncharted vibes mixed in as well. Another great game from Naughty Dog!

Can't believe the hate this game got when it first came out. I thought the story was gripping and emotional. This game almost had me crying during a few parts. I really really hope there will be another sequel, just not as long of a wait.

Not as good as the first game, but visually spectacular and full of great character moments. I think it might've been better as Last of us 2 & 3, it feels very packed for one game.

This is a very good game and doesn’t deserve the hate it’s getting online. If you played the first one, go in with an open mind and formulate your own opinion. Gameplay and graphics wise it’s phenomenal.

I know with certain events within the game that it made a lot of people upset but this game did an amazing job if making you hate someone completely and fully and by the end you actually sympathize. Really really good in my opinion.

Just a great game and great experience, story wise it might leave you off a bit since you didn’t expect such a great character to die so early into the game. Gameplay and graphics are just on another level, try it for yourself.

With The Last of Us Part II, many of your views will be questioned, and you’ll have to find the answer within yourself on what is good, evil, and whatever lies in-between. Truly a masterpiece, and an emotional roller coaster.

Just Amazing!!! I played de first one on PS3 and it was the very first time I felt emotional playing a video game, this second one didn't dissapoint at all. Great game!, Great storyline, great voice acting! A Must have!!!!

Honestly, ND is an amazing studio. They always make quality games. This story is heart-wrenching. Though I disagree with some of the story structure, the gameplay was solid, graphics amazing, details so intense.

Absolutely breathtaking game!! I went into it knowing exactly what would happen, and I still absolutely enjoyed it!! Story mat not have gone the way we wanted it too, but still an incredible game!! Hoping for a TLOU3!!

The graphics for this game is insane as everything is so realistic. The gameplay is tighter and improved from the first game. I'm not the biggest fan of the story but it is still interesting.

I almost did not buy this due to the leaks. The game is incredible and you have to play it for yourself to understand. I was able to pick up at my local Best Buy with no issues and the game came in perfect condition.
