It isn't perfect, I had some graphical errors and buggy AI interactions, but it's an incredibly engaging (and brutal) narrative with some fun crafting and tense combat.

Definitely game of the year. One of the best games I have ever played. There are so many little details that go to this game that you would never even think of. Incredible game.

The last of us part 2 is a average game that features a terrible story. The graphics are great for a late gen PS4 game. And the gameplay is as good as the first. But the cut scenes drag on for far too long and you’re forced to play as two characters, one of which is the Very unlike able antagonist. Idk if I can recommend getting this new, maybe if it’s on sale or cheaper. Because it’s descent PS4 exclusive, it’s just not anywhere near as good as the first game. In my opinion. Score: 7/10.

The Last of Us Part 2 takes a hard look at love, hate, revenge, and redemption. A must play. Just give it a chance. Amazing followup to the 2013 game. Great story telling. Written beautifully.

The game is great and I love the steelbook, but my item arrived slightly damaged, the corners of the cardboard sleeve were dented due to poor packaging by best buy.

An emotional rollercoaster of a game, anger, Wonder, frustration, fun, sorrow, triumph, confusion, shock and relief are all the things I experienced. A technical and story telling achievement

All it takes is a little push for Ellie to go mad and her quest for revenge story is a brutalistic masterpiece. Do I need to say more? Play the game and fully experience a masterfully crafted sequel that will keep you on the edge of your seat and witness the sheer brutality that needs to be played. The first game is all about love, and the sequel is all about hate and you can see why how rare TLOU2 is compared to the first game and it’s unbelievable. Everything ranging from the newly fleshed acessibility gameplay mechanics all the way to the superb writing by Neil Druckmann and Westworld’s Halley Gross is pure excellence.

I love this game. I'm happy to see it was not just a repetition from the previous one. Some want to complain about Abby but if they want just ellie and Joel then go back to the first one lol

If you enjoyed the original, you will love this game. Great sequel to the first, highly recommend. Similar mechanics and gameplay, long well constructed story.

Upon finishing this game I was so satisfied. A very tragic and exhausting (in a good way) story. Some minor flaws but overall, this game is full of emotion and power! THANKS NAUGHTY DOG!

I really enjoyed this game despite all the negative buzz around the storyline. The graphics are dope and the gameplay is exciting and extensive. I think it's a really solid pick!

This may be the most technically impressive and polished video game I've ever played. While parts of the story aren't as strong as Pt 1 overall, TLoU pt 2 is a must play for everyone.

First time pre-ordering from Best Buy, the game is being shipped from NY late on the day of release (across the country from me). Tracking says I will not likely receive the game until nearly a week after release. Needless to say, this does not hold up to "same day delivery" expectations and Best Buy's various competitors handle this far better. Disappointed. The shelves are loaded with copies yet I cannot get my hands on this game despite having paid well in advance and at a premium price for the special edition. Having said all that, I understand that Best Buy is currently operating under a system of policies to protect workers and employees from Covid19 and I can tolerate a wait if it means higher standards of safety for all involved. Still, I can be disappointed; the hype is real and it will be incredibly difficult to avoid spoilers in the meantime. The game itself I am sure will be enjoyable if not divisive according to the early reactions. I am an avid reader of post-apocalyptic literature and look forward to the title very much and I will hopefully update this review later once I have received the game. In the meantime, this review is a commentary on the ability of Best Buy to deliver their products in a timely manner. Recommend you purchase the title elsewhere.

I looked forward to this game more so than any other that I bought a special edition. The game was good, but I can’t see how a player of the first game would be proud of the sequel for many reasons. It did have a lot to offer in an attempt to make thou 2 map much bigger scale. It was often to no point though. You can bypass the majority of the time and it makes looting tedious rather than explorative. The scenery is cathartic in that it makes up for the painful storytelling which is a series of events where the protagonist and antagonist don’t meet. When they do, the gaming world got a little sadder. I journeyed with the game to the end and they dropped the ball in so many moments especially the end. It really was game of thrones but a video game. To play the boss battle as the bad guy of the game is mildly torturous. The gift Joel gave Ellie in the sacrifice of the world is wasted for everyone. This could only be a good game if there’s a trilogy made and revisits parts of 2. It was really bad, not the sad part, but what the game company did to force your hand to do really terrible things that had no point. I thought the end would tie it together in some twisted way, but what it offers is an attempt at empathy and showing revenge not being a satisfactory methodology but it just makes you miserable. I played thou 1 at least 20x. I might replay this if a new one comes into development.

Not sure why there is so much hate for this game. It’s so much fun and very intense! Other than my pre order being delayed a few days I have no complaints what so ever with this game.

This is a beautiful game that adds to the already successful gameplay of the original. The story is dark, however, and very intense and thought-provoking. It may not be for everyone.

If you loved the 1st game this is a no brainer... And picking up the special edition was another great plus... If you’re on the fence pick this game up you will not disappointed...

Best aaa title for nearly a decade. Don't even think about passing this one up, you'll regret it. It's heartbreaking but moving and just a thoroughly beautiful game.

Awesome steelbook to have as a collectible! The story however, is mediocre. At first I denied how bad it was but now going back to it.. the game has no replay value. The first one has more replay value than this one. This has a story that just fell short and betrayed the original one's point. It was frustrating to say the least. It'd be nice if we could pick our own route to take Ellie through rather than just seeing her turn into a psycho killer.
