No matter how great the visuals and combat, the meat and potatoes - the story - is a sad depressing no win story with no redemption arc. The game pulls a Metal Gear Solid 2 where like Raiden, you play a LARGE chunk of the story as someone you don’t care about and would rather see die. Where Ellie was a light in the first game, here she is hollowed out until she is someone equally detestable. The game would have been MUCH better if the brief flashbacks as Ellie were the actual game instead of this slow death march of the franchise. Gave 2 stars for great graphics but this game is dead to me.

Great game with amazing visuals and improved gameplay from the first game. Better skill tree gives numerous upgrade routes.

Got this for my daughter's birthday which was on the 19th. She stole my ps4 and every few hours I get updates on the story.
