Great follow up to the first game. Impressive graphics and continued story telling that makes it almost like a movie! The player mechanics are similar to the first game but improved with features like crawling. Great game overall.

I enjoyed the first Last of Us so I had to check out part 2. Overall I liked it. The audio and visuals were great. The story was good but there were some plot holes, sections and story elements that felt incompleted or possibly not needed. Overall I'm glad I played it and it was a good follow-up to an great emotional game.

Great game. Makes you feel loss, grief, and PTSD. Love how it's based on real Seattle (and I mean present-day Seattle). Would recommend. The story was great too. I can't imagine any other ending that might have worked for me.

The Last of Us Part II is an impressive game. The gameplay is tightened up a bit from the original, which I already thought played great, but some of the new abilities added in to improved things like hand-to-hand (or knife) combat I really enjoyed. The updated abilities and crafting system is great. I especially like being able to craft things like silencers. Really cool. This game can be stressful, but in a fun way, like a scary movie or a rollercoaster. Sometimes it requires me to take a break, but before long I'm thinking about the game again. Graphically it is stunning and Naughty Dog did a great job of building post-apocalypse Seattle, my hometown. The buildings don't exactly match real-life in all instances, but it feels like the real deal. Great game and a must-play.

This game excels in every way possible. It does so many things and it executes them all perfectly. From story, to gameplay that balances between survival horror, to stealth, to action/adventure, this game is a masterpiece. 10/10.

Some hated on the story due to a certain touchy subject related to sex and gender, story is quite immersive and gameplay still as good as the first one, if you loved the first entry, this is a must!

TLOU2 is probably one of the best games ever. The story is good, the gameplay is vibrant, and it gets dark at times. Hey this is not exactly your run around kill 500 zombies a minute game.

I ignored all the leaks prior to the release. I had to get it. Part one was a better game in my opinion. But still a good game. A lot of questions were answered in this game, lots of twists and turns. Naughty Dog did it right.

a lot of people were really mad with what they did with the story to be honest it didn't really bother me that much overall it is a great game with a good story and awesome gameplay and graphics the quality is top notch.

Great game, beautiful graphics, awesome story-telling. Naughty Dog does it again. Difficult to be better than the first, but it stands on it's own as a grueling, depressing, heart wrenching adventure into the post-apocalypse.

If you like Last of Us on PS3 or the PS4 remastered version, Last of us 2 is far better. The visuals are best I’ve seen, and story is great. It’s easy to get lost in places but overall it’s an amazing game. I give it a 9/10.

The gameplay is smoother and far more refined than in the original. There’s more ways to take down and sneak around enemies, the graphics are phenomenal and it’s beautiful overall. The story lacks as compared to the original, but has its ups and downs. If you liked the first one, chances are you’ll like this one too.

Haven't completed the game yet but amazing graphics, production and storyline. Only issue is my PS4 has to work VERY hard to play this and the fan gets noisy. This game clearly pushes the hardware to its limits!

When last of us 2 was released i purchased last of us remastered on my ps4 pro just to not miss out the whole story. Best decision ever made. This sequel has everything you can ask for in a action-thrilling game.

Tragic, messy, morally confusing, are the words I would use to describe this masterpiece. Just as emotional as it is fun. A must play. Would give it an excellent but I can’t recommend it to everyone due to it’s controversial elements and extremely graphic content.

Good game in gameplay and graphics speaking, however, the story and narrative is disappointing, nevertheless aside that it is really entertaining.

The Last of Us Part II is a truly amazing game and a ride that is well worth the 27 hours it will take you to complete it. It is very unfortunate that so many people rushed to this site just to go out and review-bomb it due leaks revealing the direction this game was taking before release. However, if you are considering playing this game, do not let the apparently overwhelming negative user reviews mislead you. Play it. Give it a chance. Many of these negative reviews where put up within hours of the game being released when it should have taken well over a day (without food or pee breaks) to even complete the game, let alone contemplate it enough to write a review. Don't let yourself be fooled. I'm not joking or lying when I say this game is a masterpiece, and if you're still concerned, most of the people who have actually played this game have positive things to say about it, too. The gameplay doesn't change up a whole lot from what already worked in the original game, but it still adds some welcome new mechanics that give the player more freedom and choices. In addition, Naughty Dog has included a plethora of accessibility options so that pretty much anyone can enjoy the game. Did I mention that Naughty Dog has also put a complete technical marvel on display here? From the graphical fidelity, the incredible motion capture, the animation, the acting, the riveting musical score, those hilariously realistic rope physics, and the terrific sound mixing. TLOU 2 does it all better than any game Naughty Dog has ever released and better than any game I've ever played. Not to mention it does it all at a very consistent 30 fps at 1080p or 1440p depending on your console. The sense of atmosphere is also an incredible achievement. In fact, there are many moments where the sense of dread and anxiety may be too overwhelming for some who are not used to such intense games. TLOU 2 mostly takes place in a harsh cordycep-infested Seattle, where most of the residents have only survived as long as they have by being ruthless and cruel, and for you to survive, this game will require you to be the same. The people here have formed societies in this city and, sure, not everyone within is as ruthless and cruel, but the ones that are often have more than enough determination to carry out their revenge, regardless of the consequences, and many times at the expense of those around them. With all that being said, the main source of all the vitriol and controversy, is of course the story. In my opinion, the story here is vastly superior to the already excellent story of the original TLOU. It has more emotional depth, the characters (villains included) have more depth, and the stakes are much higher and more personal. TLOU 2 is a revenge story and it's a revenge story on more fronts than one. TLOU 2 also explores more complicated themes such as the cost of revenge and the main characters' obsession with it. Revenge becomes the drug that drives our characters and it will drive them to some seriously dark and disturbing depths. Unfortunately for everybody, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The pacing and editing here is also master-class. For instance, there are a number of flashback sequences this game has to juggle, and each sequence involves different perspectives, characters, and years. Yet, somehow, each one arrives at the exact right emotional moment in the story and allows for new context to be added. Suddenly, a new layer will open up and certain story beats may now make more sense or have new depth added to them. Decisions you thought were right now may no longer be so clear-cut. Suffice it to say, the story will have you actively engaged and you will find yourself pushing yourself forward, eager to learn more. Well, for most of you anyways, and that's the true tragedy of all this. There is a very real toxicity out there and this game is releasing in one of the most divisive and toxic times in recent history. TLOU 2 includes powerful female leads and LGBTQ+ characters in its story and for some bigots that may be unacceptable. The most generous and forgiving explanation I have to explain the rest of the backlash is that the story simply wasn't what some people wanted. However, to say this game has a "bad story" is simply wrong. Objectively, the story of TLOU 2 is quite brilliant! Naughty Dog took much bigger risks here and they clearly had their minds made up on what kind of story they wanted to tell. And they delivered. And this game delivers! The story broke my heart, made me cry, and upset me. To be honest, I couldn't tell you the last time a game affected me so. Sure, the story may not be to everyone's liking, and it may not be to yours, but after finishing it, you cannot say it was told poorly. I loved The Last of Us and I loved its sequel. If you played the first game and loved it, as long as you approach the sequel with an open mind, I'm sure you'll love it too.

I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a “fun” game. This game is dark and brutal, it will sometimes leave you feeling psychologically wounded. There were many times where we played through a portion of the story, looked at each other and said, “yeah, I need to take a break” because what just happened on screen was difficult to process. With that said, the gameplay is phenomenal, the visuals are stunning, and although the story is polarizing, we enjoyed it excessively. This was a game that we would be itching to play every night until we played through the story. Gameplay and visuals improved from the first installment, but still feels familiar. The story in the first game was better, in my opinion, but I still think this game was incredibly well-done.
