The Last of Us was one of the all-time great games, so I had high expectations for this one. The graphics and gameplay are top notch. The environments are a lot more open and there are so many unique spaces to explore and scavenge. You can really tell how much work went into this aspect. I have no complaints here. The story on the other hand starts off poor; gets bad; then, just when it finally starts getting good, you switch to another character - and not a particularly likable one at that. It's like they ruined it on purpose. This game is hard to score. On one hand, the game was polished and played great. On the other, the story was disappointing, disjointed, and a slog to get through. I never thought I'd feel like shutting a Naughty Dog game off before the end, but I guess I'll add that to my list of unexpected things that happened in 2020.

What an amazing game so far. The graphics alone make this one of a kind. The only regret i have is not going for the ellie edition however i did get my hands on the steel book edition of the game. Amazing amazing job!!!! If you are even the slightest fan of the original story you have to buy the game.

Amazing sequel to one of the greatest games of all time.

I'll start off with the good which is centered around the gameplay. It feels like an updated version of the original with great mechanics. That said, I didn't care for the story line at all. The plot adds nothing and doesn't seem as thought out as the original which everyone is comparing it too. It was hard to stay engaged with these characters and feel any emotion for them like the original made me feel. My real regret was purchasing the collector's edition because it absolutely worthless now.

I didn’t think this game could get any better but somehow part 2 is even more heart wrenching and amazing than part 1.

Don't listen to all the negativity going on around this game, it is absolutely stunning, both visually and storyline. You must experience this game for yourslef. Hands down one of the best games I've played in years.

I avoided all the spoilers prior to playing this game so I did not know what to expect. The gameplay and graphics were good; similar to the previous TLOU. Adding the dodge action was great. The prone action was ok but I didn’t really use it. Joel’s death was shocking and frustrating to say the least. And the way he was killed was gruesome and unsettling. With that said, the game forces you to continue playing as Joel’s killer and for many hours. At first, It was tough to play as Abby knowing that and for so many hours. Didn’t feel right..I think the plot would have been ok and easier to accept in a movie. However, in a video game setting, it’s different. I’ve committed roughly 25 hours to the gameplay and in the end, I didn’t feel like I accomplished anything. I don’t think TLOU2’S plot did part one it’s justice. After playing part one, I played it again many times and I was eager and excited for part 2. But now after playing part 2. It’s one and done and I’m not longer care about a part 3. I know this game will cause a lot of controversy and maybe that was naughty dogs intention, but the plot, in my opinion, was a huge fail.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved TLOU. I didnt get it when it first came out. I got the remastered version for PS4 and when I played it I was hooked. I normally never go back and play video came campaigns. Once in a while I will play through a second time like for Dying Light. But 98% of the time I play once and move on. But I have played TLOU through end to end 3 times now and will be playing it again in another 6 months or so. I was SO VERY looking forward to TLOU2 because I knew it would get me through the next few months of gaming wasteland until something else decent came out. But this 2nd edition is a huge disappointment. I will try and bullet point some of my reasons below. 1)They are killing off and disabling the most important characters in the game. I wont say any more than that. But if they do that, obviously I am not able to look forward to a TLOU3 and the developer has given up on the franchise. 2) The game development hasnt evolved much from TLOU. It feels like the same game with just new maps etc. I would have though in the 7 years or so since the first game it would have gotten much better in game play and mechanics. 3) I hate the story line. I am not going to give away the plot but suffice it to say that it is very cliche and not well thought out. The first game really hooked me in. Being a father to a daughter, I felt for Joel in the first game I loved the interaction between Ellie and Joel and it really made me want to play more and see what was next. The TLOU2 deffinitely has twists and turns and some veyr emotional parts. But with one exception it is very obvious...... I am sorry to say I cannot recommend this game to anyone. I think when the developers take shortcuts like this, they should not be rewarded with additional sales.

Really cause it's delayed the game is automatically bad. Don't take it out on the game take it out on best buy. Other than that got my hard copy last night and well this might be GOTY IMHO!!!

A great sequel to an amazing game. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

10/10 for me. People are sad Joel life ended. They must play the full game to find out why. That being said love the game, they really surprised me with this one.

This is probably the only true 5 star game I've ever played. Worth every minute.
