This was a fun game to play. Plenty of content, great story line and great graphics. I will play it a few more times.

Had done a preorder that bestbuy guaranteed release day delivery but of course they didn’t and it was going to show up 4 days late so I did a second purchase for in store pick up which that had a plentiful stock of 83. I picked up my game and when The other got delivered I had to go out of my way to return it. The quality of the game has met every greatness that I knew it would be. The quality of best buys ordering and service of delivery is below what I believed it would be.

Great interwoven story told from multiple sides, fantastic action and strategy. Captures same brilliance as original.

Easily one of the best games of this generation. Gritter than the first but a must buy if you are a fan of the genre.

Everything about this game is definitely something else I have never experienced before in video games. It can take some time to fully come to terms with what happens in the game but visually, it is absolutely beautiful. The acting is just fantastic. This game to me, shows you how much someone can lose at the end based on how you let your emotions control you throughout that whole journey. This game does not hold back. It’s definitely a unique experience. It’s a masterpiece.

You are either going love this game or hate it. Fortunately I loved this game. As a fan of the first part, I felt this went in a direction that I wasn't a fan at first, but over time I realized what a masterpiece it is. This was one of the best games I have ever played and the story and characters still haunts me to this day. This is not your standard action zombie game, this is more if an emotional rollercoaster. Be warned.

This is a game for mature players only. I played the first Last of Us game and loved it. I’ve played through about 1/3 of this one, and I can say this one is even better. I don’t like scary or gory movies. I don’t like being scared, but I love games with good stories. This series tells a good story. It’s dark, it’s sad, and it’s challenging, but it’s really entertaining. There are lots of puzzles and places to explore.

This game has nice graphics, cutscenes, gameplay, and an addictive story. It’s a worthy successor to the first game.

I was a bit skeptical of this game, considering it came out 7 years after the original, which was a nearly perfect game. This game plays beautifully, improving on the mechanics of the first in nearly every way. The story is often brutal and heartbreaking, and forces you to question the nature of morality and humanity. Not quite as good as the first, but a worthy follow up.

Regardless of whether or not the story works for you as an individual, there's no denying that from a technical standpoint, it doesn't get any better. Graphics, sound, music, all first class. I found the gameplay loop to be addictive, fun and incredibly satisfying. I've never had a game stick with me so long after completing it. Normal games, even really fun ones, just don't do that. It alleviates the medium as an art form. An unabashed 10/10 masterpiece. Nuff said.

The gameplay, story, and controls are awesome. This is one of the best PS exclusive I've ever played.

Beautiful game play. Wonderful story. Loved and hated the characters, which gives the player a realistic feel.

There is no perfect game I know! Great story. One that has to be viewed from both sides of the line. I loved the characters. ND did a fantastic job. Not everyone will agree with the story and how it played out, but if ND had went a different direction it would have been the same. To tell agood story I think you need to be willing to make people uncomfortable and be willing to upset people. Fantastic piece of work. Sony's first party has been on fire as of late.

All the hate is absolutely unjustified for this game, story is gripping and compelling, gameplay is great.

Unfortunately, this game does not live up to the story of years past. As a successor, this particular entry has deviated from the “essence” of what made the original Last of Us a beloved game with a beloved story. Rather than ride off of the 1st story/characters and general themes, this entry seemly skips the majority of any “important” character development from either Ellie or Joel and inserts a new character in the game, Abby. This character isn’t fully realized or introduced until past the 10+ hour mark, meaning all gameplay up until the 10+ hour mark literally contains a bland task driven journey with controversial topics littered through-out the story. There is absolutely no character development (At all) up until this point. Once you hit around this mark, Naughty Dog introduces a few flashbacks for Ellie reflecting critical plot points of key “character development” moments for Ellie. TDLR; rather making a game on this critical portion of Ellie’s life, they turned these moments into 20 minute flashbacks brushing off everything that fans wanted to learn built up from the entire journey of the first game. It’s quite a slap in the face to the fan base. Post this, the journey begins as Abby (maybe 15 hours in?) with flashbacks developing this new character that you’re led to hate from the beginning of the game. At this point, they’ve brushed off the original characters and have introduced a mostly confusing new character and tried to shove similar emotional ties from the main characters of the first games into a 5 hour plot point. Needless to say, this has left quite a few gamers frustrated/annoyed and generally does lead to a poor plot/story/journey within the game. Story aside, the graphics are top notch, the sound is top of the class and will take advantage of everything at the console’s disposal, the animations show an extraordinary attention to detail, etc etc. The developers and animators have done a phenomenal job on every aspect of this game, the director is truly at fault for all of the game’s shortcomings. All shortcomings are driven by the vision, plot, and conclusion which feel entirely uninspired by the essence of what made the first game loved by many.

Amazing graphics and great gameplay along with Naughty Dog's traditional story telling, makes for a very fun game!

one of the best ps4 games i actually beat. THe gameplay is what kept me hooked, the story is very good as well.
