I think I enjoyed the first game more because at the time, it was very unique. That said, the graphics on this one are absolutely gorgeous, and the gameplay is initially very fun. The story is adequate, but the developers do recycle the gameplay loop way too often. There's too much "trek over to that place always on the horizon, search old office buildings, loot, fight a group of enemies, watch / play flashbacks and repeat" to the point it felt like filler. It's still a great game, and the developers went for it on the story and characters, so it's well worth the play!

As soon as it arrived we opened it. So far we love this game has great graphics and a great story.

I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect given the first game was exceptional and it was going to be hard to meet that level again. But I have to say that the game is absolutely AMAZING!!! The plethora of negative reviews are nothing more than a coordinated effort by bigots, but if you look at the PSN rating (which is as close to a 5 as you can get) it shows they didn’t even have the conviction to buy the game and rate it on PSN.

Naughty Dog has created another masterpiece. Story is good and get about 20 hours of game play.

While I am still unsure how I feel about some plot choices I can appreciate the game the writers put together... now that I'm done with it. Now that I've had a chance to digest it in its entirety. It made me think and feel and question things. I found myself very frustrated with one specific gameplay choice but I don't want to spoil anything. I did enjoy the combat, it is more fleshed out vs the first game. Looks beautiful. Zombies scary.

Second greatest game of all time after the first one. Everyone was upset that Joel was killed off in the beginning of the game and you spend half the game playing as his murder Abby. The ending is a lot like real life when Elle nearly drowns Abby before deciding to let her go. Her quest for vengeance costs her everything including her family and friendship leaving you ultimately demoralized by the time you finish the game.

What an incredible follow up to the first game. Heartbreaking and terrifying, it really has it all.

The first game is probably my favorite game from the PS3 era. While the first was a parent and child view of the zombie apocalypse, this one's from a young adult perspective. While I refuse to spoil any story bits, I think the fact that it's so divisive speaks to how much naughty dog makes you care about these characters. The gameplay by and large is an improvement from tlou, and that alone makes it worth buying.
