This is one of the best stories and visuals in a game I've ever played.

I'll admit I came into this game with an open mind. Even with the leaks that tells what happens in the story. I still ignored it and avoided it at all cost. Should've paid attention to the leaks. I'll start with gameplay. Quick question. Do you like The Last of Us Part 1's gameplay? Well in Part 2 it is the exact same game play with so little changes. The exact same scavenging for crafting materials that still has the max limit at 3, the same using scrapes to upgrade your weapons, the same finding pills to upgrade yourself, the same melee combat, stealth, and shooting. Its 100% Part 1 but now you can jump and go prone! *Sarcastic Woohoo*. Maybe it's just me? But I feel that the shooting is worse than Part 1. I swear I'm aiming at where I'm shooting and somehow my bullet/arrow misses. And the guns are fully upgraded. It's not me because I play a lot of shooters both Fps and 3rd Person. I even went back to Part 1 and I hit my targets perfectly. So something is really off with the shooting in Part 2? Melee is again the same as Part 1. Overall on gameplay, because of how so little was change compared to part 1 the gameplay in 2 gets boring super quick. However, I'm just getting started on why this game is really bad. Story It's awful. It's really really awful. It's like someone at Naughty Dog said "Part 1 is died to us" and just piece together something to satisfy a certain crowd just to be praised for being so "brave". I don't know where to begin with how much I dislike this story? I guess I'll start off with the obvious. Joel and Ellie. *Spoiler Alert* Joel dies but in the most insulting way possible. It's a spit to the faces to those that like Part 1. It's made for shock value and makes a generic revenge plot for Ellie. Oh and Ellie is now unlikeable. She's not charming anymore and makes really dumb decisions. It just ruins the characters we love in Part 1 and the reasoning as to why Joel gets killed off is so out of know where and not clever in the slightest. Now for Abby. Oh boy, Abby. She's one of the worst characters in a video game I ever seen and played as. Yes you heard me right. You play as Joel's killer, Abby. Why? No reason. No reason at all. Just Naughty Dog satisfying a certain crowd. Abby and her gang are unlikeable. Because we are forced to play as Abby. I went into autopilot just to rush and finish this game. Because you play as 2 different characters in their own different stories. The game's lengths doubles from 15 hours to 30 hours or more. By the end if it all. I was depressed, angry, annoyed, and insulted. 30-35 hours just for a generic "Revenge is bad" story. And clearly Abby gets to have a happy ending. As for Ellie, she loses everything. What a slap to the face to fans. Few Positives The only positive I have is the graphics. The game looks amazing. It's a bigger improvement compared to Part 1. The details, lighting, and animation are high quality. I won't deny the look. It's really good. However, graphics means nothing to me. I didn't have any fun with LoU Part 2. I wasted $60 and my time. It's time and money I'll never get back and I regret it. I wanted a refund from Best Buy because I want my money back from a bad game. But no instead they couldn't because it's open and they think I pirated the game? First off, I don't know how to pirate games. Second, this is a bad game. I'm unsatisfied with the product and giving me back money from a bad product can't be done? Because of that I sold the game some place else because I wanted to rid of the game. I didn't want this on my shelf. Do yourself a favor. Ignore the 10/10 reviews. If you want to know what happens? Look up the leaks or a let's play. Save your money. Even when it's on sale. Don't waste your money. Even if it's given to you for free? Throw it away. As someone that loves LoU Part 1 and respected Naughty Dog and their Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxtar, and Uncharted days. LoU Part 2 is the worst game of 2020. Buy something else, get Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tsushima, Crash Bandicoot 4, God of War 2018, Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, ANYTHING!

Definitely a very scary game to play back in 2020 (IYKYK) but it definitely is worth a play especially when it’s constantly discounted to $20 and has some cool features such as visual filters and it’s a lengthy game. Give it a try.

I enjoyed the game gets alot of hate i see why . Messed with characters people had grown to enjoy. I had non of those feelings really so loved the game not perfect some parts of story where like ok really. But mechanics graphics some of the story and the time i played was fun which is the point. But understand why some hate if they had done Nathan drake like that lol id be upest too.

Perfect story that keeps you engaged along with enhanced game play from part 1

I’m getting close to finishing this game, and so far the graphics and gameplay have been great! I don’t really know yet what the controversy about the story was, but I’m expecting something really controversial to happen soon. I guess? Anyway, you can tell a lot of work went into every detail of this game. The game controls really well, and it’s probably the best looking game on the PS4.

Ignore the negative reviews. I’ve played a lot of games and after I beat this I have come to the conclusion this is the greatest game I’ve ever played! Buy this game, now. If you don’t enjoy this, you might as well sell your PlayStation 4 and all your games because you are not a true gamer. A true gamer will see this game for the MASTERPIECE that it is! BUY NOW! You will not regret it!

The encounters in this game are just as fun as in the first one. There are some added enemies, weapons, and tools that make this experience unique. It took me about 40 hours to complete the game and then I hopped into new game+. The game has some unconventional gender elements, and the story was difficult to digest. Doing some reading on the Internet helped me understand it better.
