One of the best games ever. The first was amazing in every way a game could be. This one takes it to the next level. The story line picks up from the first game. The story is absolutely one of the best of any game and submerses you deep into the game. The game play is beyond spectacular !! It can be calming at times and super intense but so much fun. Take your time playing this game because there's a lot more to it then just a run through game. No spoilers but the way they did this game with the characters is absolutely amazing !!

If you really enjoyed the first one or never played the first I would suggest playing the first one but its not required. Really fun,dark, and sometimes scary game. This game really highlights our humanity side and emotions. This is an action, stealth, adventure, and horror game all rolled into one. It is rated m for a reason. Gameplay is methodical and unlike shooter games as ammo and health are very limited. Wonderful story arc( its best to understand from the first game). Would def recommend

*Spoiler Free* The game is brutal. It is hard in ways the first didn't reach and the story delves deeper than most people liked, but it is an amazing experience and represents a phenomenal narrative. It is not for everyone, however. The violence is graphic and unrelenting. The story is oppressive and unforgiving. Fans of Game of Thrones will feel very comfortable with this title. As far as a video game goes, the graphics are the best I've seen on PS4. The voice acting is incredible and the story grips you and, at times, challenges your own morality.

When i heard that there was a sequel to TLOU coming out, I knew it was a must have! So far I am taking my time with the game, but I have been impressed with the combat and the new take on the story. Definitely worth a pickup for any TLOU fan. NOTE*** My only issue is with BB and not the game. I pre-ordered the Standard Edition in January 2020 and although my delivery arrived on time June 19, 2020, I have yet to receive my e-mail with the pre-order bonuses. I have tried contacting customer service and have been less than satisfied with their version of service.

Phenomenal game and sequel, I loved this entry a lot more than the first game! I've played the first TLOU about 5 times, and finally decided to give this game a shot after watching the HBO show. I had heard a lot of criticism on Abby's character (understandable), but she's an amazing character and part of this series. Can't wait to see what's next!

If you're a fan of the first game like many people are then you have to do yourself a favor and try Part II. Just from the gameplay aspects are worth the price alone as you can now do things such as craft silencers for your pistols and you now have enemy attack dogs sniffing you out of your hiding places. Story is very much a continuation of the first game hence the title and there are people out there hating on this game for controversial decisions put I think those decisions paid off in the end. This game will be talked about for the next decade.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Last of Us Part II. Yes the original game is better in most every aspect, but it also came out a while ago and Part II has improved graphics and the gameplay and combat is better. The story is good but drags during certain parts and while I didn't enjoy all of the cut scenes, the music and voice acting is top notch. Overall, this is a worthy sequel to the original and it was never going to top it, but a solid effort nonetheless.

This combined with the first game has become my favorite story ever told. This is nothing like the first game. It is rough, it is way more greusome, and it is emotionally draining. The game is about revenge, the ways Ellie is scarred physically and mentally on her journey, human nature's violent tendencies, forgiveness, and grief. There are many underlying themes too. The tone of the entire game is set very early, and it only gets harder as you go. Naughty Dog really outdid themselves with this game. Just push through to the end. Its worth it!

I finished this game over a month ago and catch myself thinking about it still. It is such an excellent game and so thoughtfully put together. I catch myself dwelling on different encounters and how it made me feel and I realize that this game drew emotions out of me that I have never felt in a game. The game play is similar to the first, but they upgraded it in many for the better. I could go on forever about this game. Replaying the first game once again and once I'm done, I will have to play this one, once more on grounded +.

This games sets the bar for video games. From a visual perspective this game is beautiful. Graphically I have not seen anything better. The only thing that comes close is God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn. But the level of detail is truly remarkable. Story telling is the other aspect. It’s like playing through a movie. Not the kind of movie that you press a button making some divergent story arc but truly playing through a movie. You must experience this game! I cannot speak more highly of it. Do not listen to the naysayers pick this up now.

I've been a huge fan of any game Naughty Dogs make, and this one does not disappoint! If you love the first last of us, you'll love this. The Story, game play, visual, everything about this game is well done. Playstation is my go to place to play games and they have the exclusives! I don't want to spoil anything but my god, this game is good. You'll definitely have some jump out of your seat moments. Naughty dogs just makes quality and story telling in video games the best! Just play it, 3rd person shooter in a post infected world.

Great story telling game, I played this from start->finish 3+ times while increasing the difficulty. It was a pretty good game. I recommend playing on the easiest setting at first to enjoy the story/ get all the collectibles, and then increase it on additional play-thoroughs (New Game+) to enjoy the challenge! You will have all the guns/whatever you collected in the first play-through! It was an amazing journey, greatest story-telling game out right now. 2020 graphics and play on the PS4 Pro or PS5, 4k 60fps.

Not quite the impact of the first, part Ii was submersive and i was invested from srart to finish. Acting and story line was top notchand graphics steller. If you didn’t play part I , the game did a decent job of telling the back story. Playing the game through for 53 hrs and playing another 29 hrs in plus mode without playing another title game should tell you how good this game is,

This game is phenomenal, however, it is emotionally devastating so make sure you're in a good place mentally when you jump in. The storytelling is beautifully done and the gameplay is excellent. Prepare to think about this game daily for months after you finish.

I don’t know where the hate is coming from with this fantastic game. Does the story do things that I don’t like... sure. I wish that something’s did t happen in the game but not everything is a happy ending and it’s just part of life. The game was fantastic whether you are looking at the story or gameplay. Naughty Dog are kings of story telling and gameplay for sure. Really hope that this is the end of this series and they make a whole new masterpiece.

I was a huge fan of the original game, and thought it was one of the best games ever made. Making a sequel to such an acclaimed game certainly came with sky-high expectations, and Naughty Dog nailed it! Everything from the acting, the story, and the gameplay are best in class. This game sets a new standard for storytelling in video games.

This game was so good: I can definitely agree it might not be as good as the first but to say it isn't good at all is literally incorrect. Any comments about the story not being good are unfounded and are nitpicky at best, but pacing does have some issues but unfortunately that can't be remedied when put into the context of the kind of story being told and the intended impact of it. Also 100% recommend playing on Survivor or the next difficulty down.

The gameplay and visuals have improved immensely since it’s predecessor and it made the experience immersive and more fun. Enemies and companion AIs have also improved and are more dangerous/useful. While the story and characters are written well enough, it falls short when the game moves away from what the first game was all about. The Last of Us has always and should have always been about Joel and Ellie and their relationship, and unfortunately a portion of this game doesn’t even focus on that but instead on a different character entirely. While aspects of the game are well written and tension is highly present, it is not at the same capacity as the first game and the emotions just aren’t as strong either.

Just finished the game and while opinions vary, I fall squarely in the 'loved it' category. The story, while thought-provoking, doesn't have quite the same resonance for me as the first game but the gameplay is more refined and the encounters incredibly intense. I really enjoy how you can approach situations in multiple ways, different from some recent games like Doom Eternal (also a great game in it's own right). Overall a good story that elicits mixed feelings but the gameplay, scenery, and sound are phenomenal.

I originally wasn’t interested in another zombie game then my son suggested The Last of Us and the reviews were amazing. So I played it. And love it! On part 2 now and it’s gorgeous, well developed, crafted and literally picks up from 1 ends. Not sure why there aren’t games as well made as this one. This one literally has 2 discs, needs 100gb and is worth it. One is game data the other game play disc. Vahalla only has 1 disc and a 50gb req. Still playing and it’s stunning!!
