Great story, good action, exhilarating battles and overall good title

I think if you played the first game, you should play the second game. It may not be a game you like or a game you want to play again, but I think it is important to play. I thought the gameplay, while being very similar to the other game, was very good, but it got a little tedious near the end of the game. This story may make you angry but it will also make you feel for these characters, and you will have to go through a lot of tough things to complete this story. Overall it was a great game with a story that I personally enjoyed with game played that made it fun until near the end of the game

Last of Us PT2 is absolutely one of my favorite games ever. It's an emotional experience unlike any other game I've played. 11/10 masterpiece of a game. Pt. 2 significantly ups the ante in terms of story and heartbreak compared to Pt. 1.

This game is super awesome and i can't wait for it to compare to the TV show when season two is released. The graphics are great, the story is twisted and insane, and the characters are amazing. I can only hope for a third game to continue the story.

Got this primarily for the story and was extremely dissapointed. It's paced so poorly with so many superfluous scenes. It took me 25 hours to finish it and it could have easily been half that length - if this were purely a movie, it wouldn't even need to approach 3 hours. There's a lot of gratuitous violence and the format of the narrative is incredibly judgemental and cynical, which really became a frustration in the second half. As a game, it's fine. The first half is a slog, but around 14 hours in, there is some bare-bones but decent stealth/3rd-person-shooter gameplay. It looks great and runs fine enough on my PS4 Pro, as expected coming from Naughty Dog. I wouldn't really recommend this to anyone and I regret spending my time and money on it.

I mostly watch while my son plays. Graphics, sound, etc. are lovely. Story telling, flow of game, camera angles, etc. are great. I did play the guitars, kind of, using the chord wheel (L1/R1) and strumming or picking the controller touchpad - cool. Infected encounters really done well. Son says worth the wait. Hopefully they'll give free updates/copies for PS5 for those that waited for and bought the PS4 version.

Only halfway into the game, but I’m really enjoying it. Some sad moments already that really tugged at my heartstrings. Amazing story in this game and amazing graphics. Easy mode for those that just want the story instead of the challenge. I like the challenge myself, but have died multiple times already. Totally recommend to anyone that has a PS4, enjoys melodramas, and isn’t scared of zombies.

This game has blown me away! I didn't expect to like the second game as much as the first, but really this game is a masterpiece of cinematic gaming. It's harrowing, and gnarly, unrelenting in all it shows, and just leaves you feeling gross for playing it. It doesn't sound that good, but that's what I was looking for in this new experience. Naughty Dog keeps on pumping out some of the best games there is.

If you played the first game and its expansions; this game improves on that formula of excellent gameplay, great cinematic elements, and excellent story. If you have not played the first game you can still play this game as there are sequences that tell what happened in the first game that will catch you up on what happened in summary. Take note that this game is violent and has an M rating, so it is not for kids.

Great story, graphics, and brutal action. If your a fan of part one, you'll enjoy part two.

Poignant story, with strong themes, is well-paced, the gameplay thoroughly reworked, allowing the rage of its heroine to express itself, all wrapped in the most elegant of bows. It marks the expansion of the universe linked to Ellie and Joel's first adventures thanks to a new, emotionally-charged and challenging quest. Definitely ranks among the best titles on the PS4

The graphics, the gameplay, the story, all of it was a 10/10 for me. Not everyone liked the route they went with the narrative, but I would say that is either because they are too simple to understand the direction or need to ask themselves some hard questions about how they see other people. Overly judgmental people may not like their choices, but its a liberal take on a great story. One that I absolutely loved.

I am a big fan of the original game and can understand why people got angered by some off the story choices but at the end of the day this is a piece of art and it is up to the creator to choose the direction of the story and it is up to us to like it or dislike it but the hate and vitriol aimed at so many people and groups is an ugly side of modern society. I loved the visuals, the game is beautiful and has some interesting story elements, the voice acting is exceptional but I got a little bored with the repetitive gameplay and the length of the game because of it.

Deep and engaging narrative with gameplay to match the superb story telling Naughty Dog is known for. If you are a fan of the first game, you probably already know you will enjoy this one. Dont be scared by the reviews that scream of the "woke" kind. It is well told and polished. You can disagree with the direction, but the game is of the highest caliber. Strongest of recommends.

Games like The Last Of Us is one of those ground breaking releases that allows gamers in different levels enjoy an immersive story line with plenty of action and enough levels as to not lose interest or too difficult to manage gameplay sequences. Very entertaining to say the least and better yet, got it at a terrific deal from Best Buy.

I say this as a 35 year old man who has played every console:gaming system out there... this is the best game I’ve ever played. The first one was amazing and easy to get into. This one was a little more difficult to get into after the half way point just for the fact it messes with your head and emotions. I really don’t think you’d get the full effect unless you have played the first one and are storyline driven.

Great experienced. The story, sound design, stunning visuals and atmosphere. have been crafted to perfection. You can tell that a lot of effort and care went into making every pixel of this game. The story may be divisive, but that does not make it any less amazing. Ignore the insecure whining about SJW, you are doing yourself a disservice by not playing this game.

Even if you are a multiplayer aficionado that runs on the adrenaline of taking down your foes, you need to take the time to enjoy this story. The action is great, it's not scary per se, but it can be tense, but you really come for the story. It's truly immersive and worthwhile. Yes, it can be a little daunting and even exhausting at times (emotionally) it's worth the ride. Highly recommend it for any PS4 owner

Last of Us is one of my favorite games of all times. Never thought a game would be able to capture the magic like the first one, but Naughty Dog did just that. Im not going to say its better than the first, but it is just as good to say the least. The pacing is wonderful, it pulls at the heart strings, and enemy encounters are intense. Story is A1. What more could you really want from a game. A must play.

The Last of Us Part II is technically stunning, with some of the best graphics, environments, motion-capture performances, character animations, and set pieces ever constructed for a video game. It builds on and surpasses its predecessor (and the games of the Uncharted series) to an almost absurd degree. I can't wait to see what Naughty Dog is able to achieve technically on the PlayStation 5. It does all of that while telling a much more nuanced and difficult story than is typical for video games, even in other compelling narrative-driven games. The Last of Us Part II doesn't give you the illusion of choice, but it does pull you in and make you complicit in the actions of these characters. When you watch a film, it's possible to maintain a mental distance from the actions characters take. Even for a character you identify or sympathize with you remain a passive observer. You aren't allowed to do that here. You will hate some of the things these characters do, and feel disgusted by their brutality and remorselessness. You will also love the quiet periods in-between and the playful interactions between old friends, and wish those moments could last. This is not a game that wants to satisfy you -- it wants to challenge you. Your reward is the time you spend in its magnificently damaged world and the many ways it makes you feel along its path. Nothing created is perfect, including this game, but to me it is a masterpiece and I will cherish my relationship with it forever.
