The Last of Us Part II is not a feel good game, it is a story of revenge told with gut wrenching impact. In a world of visual beauty, you must choose to sneak past your enemies or visit terrible retribution on them face to face. With masterful voice acting and motion capture performances, the actors and the studio artists have created a masterpiece in difficult and heartrending storytelling.

The first game was one of my favorite games of all time. This game is more of the first and better in almost every way. Initially I wasn't a fan of the way they were taking the story and some decisions that were forced on the player, but by the end I was sold on the developers vision and how I was along for the ride. Truly a masterpiece.

I'll start this review by saying I am not a fan of the survival horror genre at all so I wouldn't normally pick up this game. But it won game of the year and I wanted to see if all the hype was worth it. The graphics are very impressive. The story is phenomenal. Like a revenge driven plot with your favorite characters from the Walking Dead. The gameplay was a little redundant as I find myself doing the same thing frequently. But the story makes up for any shortcomings. Worth it for the price.

I loved the First Last of Us and this game picks it up a few notches from that game. It has a great story, a major gut punch to start, and looks amazing. I wouldn't say the game is "fun" to play because of the dark nature of the story, but it is very easy to get caught up in the story and relationships of the characters. A great game and can't wait to see where it goes next.

I want to start off saying that I know there’s a lot of people that don’t like this game. And that’s their opinion, but my opinion is that so far (I’m about 25 hours into it) it’s one of the best games I’ve played. The graphics are insane, the gameplay is great, and the story is extremely well done. I’m a massive fan of the game and I recommend it to anyone that played the first one.

Mixed reviews from many out there but the game itself as masterful and the story arc isn’t surprising. This game ended the way it needed to end in order to leave something for a final sequel. It’s been rumored ever since the last of us 1 that this was at minimum to be a trilogy. All that aside this game is a blast to play and something everyone should enjoy atleast once.

A great sequel to an already amazing game. Controls feel just right, and the mood is unsettling. Story is good if you're a somber story. It also gives enough thrills and jumps to keep things entertaining throughout the runtime (which right when you think you're almost done, get ready to strap in for more!)

Definitely not for the younger kids. There are violent, graphic scenes and sexual content. I enjoyed the storyline and how it made me feel connected to the characters, as did the first game. It has LGBTQ topics as well. If you have issue with that then just don’t play it. The graphics were really great. The only issue I had was with the way the characters move when you play them. It is awkward and feels funky to control. But I felt the same way in with the first game. Overall I think it was worth the purchase and game time.

I though that this game was fantastic. The gameplay was very similar to the first one. I loved the storyline and the graphics are incredible. While other people said that they didn't like the plot, I enjoyed it. All of the cinema scenes were also amazing. Overall I was excited for this game to come out as soon as I heard about it. It did live up to the hype.

The story of the last of us is the most amazing thing I ever experienced and the fact that they made a second game of and all ready great games is more excellent if you like the the last of us part 1 then your going to love part 2

I got into The Last of Us franchise extremely late by playing the remastered copy on PS4. I fell In love with the narrative and knew that I was ready for a sequel. It’s very rare to play a game that makes you feel like you’re in a blockbuster movie. I managed to finish the game in about 24 hours of total playtime. It’s a must play if you own a PS4 I highly recommend this title.

As a “The Last of Us” fab for years, this game did not disappoint in graphics, gameplay, voice acting, and story. the beginning was upsetting, but at the end, it was all worth it. New players must go into this game with an open mind as other players review this game horrifically because they did not get what they want. Overall, this game has to be the best game of this year!

One of the best narrative stories... period. Some will disagree because of its subjective nature. However, games are not games anymore. Sure, there’s gameplay elements and graphics but games are stories that you play. This game is “playing” exactly to that and has you directly involved in its brutal emotional journey and you’re going to be affected if you want to or not.

Naughty Dog really knocked it out of the park with this game! The mechanics, gameplay, story, dialogue, everything is good! Don't really care about the negative reviews, I mean why buy something if it is going to offend you and won't like? Just enjoy the game at least we're getting new games in the middle of a pandemic and are not stuck playing the same games over and over.

This is a Great game to play by yourself or even have a friend watch you play. It’s like watch a movie at the same time, I haven’t finished it yet but so far the game delivers on storytelling and graphic kills. I don’t want to spoil the game but if you’re into single player adventure/ shooter/ stealth / horror. This is a game you’ll enjoy, believe the reviews from the pros.

I waited for this to come out so long. The story of Elle continues and it's pretty good. The story line pulls at you and will have you feeling conflicted. Definitely worth the buy got this for $30 during the holidays and so amazed with the game play and story line. When you need a break from online griefers and settle into a good game this is it.

Amazing graphics. Amazing story. Good action. in·cred·i·ble ending..

The first Last of Us is one of my favorite games, and Part II takes what was set-up up and not only expands on it, but fundamentally deconstructs it. It's a beautiful game with moments of horrifying violence, intense emotions -- incredible highs, and confusingly surprising lows. The pacing is... not great. And the extended runtime doesn't do the awkward, time-hopping narrative any justice. Having said that, there's some great, challenging stuff in here. I'd ignore the negative reviews and try it for yourself.

Most people seem to either put this game on a pedestal or believe it to be lower than dirt. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. The weakest aspect of the game in my opinion is the storywriting, which is VERY disappointing for a game that is so story-focused. Without going into spoilers, the game's main drive is revenge, and for 20-30 hours a player is subjected to an overbearing, repeated message that "revenge is bad" and "revenge hurts everyone", ad nauseam. Right when the game hits a point to end on a proper somber note, it then goes on for another hour or so to beat a metaphorical dead horse with the revenge message again while adding nothing meaningful to the overall message. There are some strong characters in the game, particularly the pair of Yara and Lev. These two ended up carrying the second half of the game and I thoroughly enjoyed watching their development. Many secondary characters end up having almost no investment or development and feel as if they are forced into the game to merely serve a purpose later (i.e. to die). But, the performances for all the main characters were overall great. Everything else from gameplay, to audio, to graphical fidelity ranged from good to amazing. The gameplay had some small tweaks and improvements from the first title. Sound was excellent and the graphics were easily some of the best the PS4 will ever be able to offer. The accessibility options also allow fine-tuning of gameplay and visuals in a way that many games don't offer. They even provide full control over your button mapping which is a feature that is long overdue to be a standard on console games. Despite my own personal criticisms of the game, many have vocalized that they felt strongly about the game and I have often read or heard that the game "stuck" with people for days or weeks after playing. Thus, I would still consider it a title worth playing so that you may at least form your own opinion.
