So I know this game got a lot of hate, but I really just don't understand it! Yes it's a very dark game and most of the time there is just not happy parts... Big deal, it's years into an apolypse and made to be realistic. The story telling is great, the visuals are great and all around the game play is great. So far it's my game of the year for 2020.

Great sequel, amazing visuals. People hate on the story, but I thought it was a great follow-up to the original. Highly recommend! Got it for $10 - incredible deal!

Great game (and one of my most anticipated waits) in years. I played the original in 2013, and this follow-up doesn't disappoint. Great graphics, great story, beautiful backdrops, etc. Naughty Dog keeps bringing their game series after series. Another fantastic installment, and at a great price just in time for Christmas! Thanks!

The last of us has good mechanics, extravagant story, and amazging graphics. Over all, very entertaining. 10/10 would recommend. Better than the tv series!

Great game great graphics solid story ending not so great

This is a dark, bleak sequel to an already pretty heavy game, but the craftsmanship, storytelling, and acting on display is simply incredible. There are moments of levity and fun in the darkness that really punctuate the experience. It's an intense and violent story, but if you can handle that then you're in for a true gaming masterpiece.

Best narrative gameplay of all time. So suspenseful I have to play during daylight hours with all the lights on. And just when you think it’s over, there’s a lot more left. An incredibly emotional story about the dangers of tribalism in a post apocalyptic world. Post-2014 Tomb Raider meets the Walking Dead. Brb gonna play it all over again.

One of the best game franchisees out there. This game delivers everything from the first game with 10x the beauty and action. The story is pretty heavy though, but absolutely one of the games Ive ever played and a story that will stay with me far after I've played the game.

Absolutely Game of the Year for 2020. Amazing follow up to the original game, Ellie and Joel's story gets an emotional continuation here. Plenty of crafting upgrades and side quests to keep you engaged as well as the excellent main story. Soundtrack/graphics were some of the best I've ever heard/seen. Naughty Dog does it again!

Last of Us Part 1 was one of the best games ever and this has only added to the already incredible story. Playing this game is just like being in a movie. You’re constantly on the edge of your seat. And let’s not forget about the best in class graphics! What Naughty Dog have managed to accomplish here is a masterpiece. Highly recommend.

This is amongst the most beautiful and amazing environments I've ever played on the PS4. It absolutely will not disappoint on gameplay, graphics and sound. Be prepared as it's a very long game, and the story was not something I was crazy about. In essence it's a tale of raw revenge told in 3 stages. It's not terrible. Just didn't 'feel' connected. And at its core, I believe the story suffered most in how it was edited. There were simply too many flashbacks, flash-forwards, and change in locations at key moments in the storytelling. Characters make a story (I think we all agree on that). Without characters you feel connected or have some form of empathy or likability, there is NO story. The moments with Ellie and Joel were few and far between, but when they happened...it kept me grounded in the story. Unfortunately, Abby is not a well written character. And based on 'how' the story was stitched together, I believe her character and the other WLF members never had a chance (or perhaps weren't intended to). For me, it almost felt like in The Walking Dead, when the writers tried to tell Negan's perspective on what motivated him. Negan is a great 'tragic character'; and you love to hate him. To make Abby a character you have to play for several hours, there has to be some level of empathy, connection, or care. I didn't feel that with Abby's character, and that is where TLOU2 missed the mark. Separately, and what would have been a HUGE gamechanger (for me), would be giving the player a choice in Ellie's 'decision'. THAT would have made a massive difference in my experience. Overall, I would still recommend this game. I rarely ever give a weak story a pass, but remember... this is a video game. For overall gameplay, graphics, and sound...this is AMAZING!

This is a great game from the tail end of the PS4 generation. It's beautiful, well-detailed & with a well-crafted & deliberate story. The game is balanced between exploration, light puzzle solving & stealth-based combat. You can run & gun, though the game doesn't afford you too many supples to do so.

This game is so incredibly divisive in the gaming community and many have hopped on the hype train to bash this game. I initially did not consider buying this game, but I decided to give it a shot anyways and I'm glad I did. The story was surprising and subverted my expectations and the gameplay was simply incredibe.

Great game. Very fun to play. Very engrossing story

The ending will ruin this game for you. I loved this game up until the last few hours. It had everything going for it. The environment was beautiful, the gameplay was fun, the storytelling was so good. It is a really long game. It took me almost 30 hrs to beat it, so you will definitely get your money’s worth. I was ready to give this a 5 star rating but when I got to the end of the game I was just too disappointed. I hated this ending so bad I wish I could go back in time and never play this to begin with. From this day forward the thought of this game, the mere mention of it will trigger me. I want to burn the disk(s) and put a curse on NaughtyDog for ruining an almost perfect game.

great game very fun good continuation of the story

I just finished the game yesterday. By the end of the game, I was empathizing with both Abby and Ellie and I just wanted the violence to end. I found myself trying to knife Abby less and less during the ending final fight because for some reason I thought by doing that I could avoid killing Abby. I was able to disconnect myself from the loss of our beloved character Joel, but found a connection and understanding through Abby while playing her story and seeing how she inevitably outgrew the WLF mindset and in a way, finally understood why Joel did what he did through her connection with Lev. She now understood what it was like to kill everyone in your path to save someone dear to you. The loss this game depicts had me feeling it towards the end, and the emotional tole it takes would make anyone eventually quit the fighting and quit the killing. I'm happy with the ending and I'm happy with the story they created, once I actually thought about how our world would be if something like this would happen, I realized that this story is as real as can be. Abby's actions at the end seemed more justified than Ellie's, and that to me made perfect sense.

The game exceeded my expectations. I went into it as open minded as possible and tried to stay that way. In turn I got to go on an emotional roller coaster that took incredible risks. But I admire it for exactly that; it’s now my favorite game. It arrived in great shape except for the case being cracked. But the discs work fine.
