The ending will ruin this game for you. I loved this game up until the last few hours. It had everything going for it. The environment was beautiful, the gameplay was fun, the storytelling was so good. It is a really long game. It took me almost 30 hrs to beat it, so you will definitely get your money’s worth. I was ready to give this a 5 star rating but when I got to the end of the game I was just too disappointed. I hated this ending so bad I wish I could go back in time and never play this to begin with. From this day forward the thought of this game, the mere mention of it will trigger me. I want to burn the disk(s) and put a curse on NaughtyDog for ruining an almost perfect game.

I just finished the game yesterday. By the end of the game, I was empathizing with both Abby and Ellie and I just wanted the violence to end. I found myself trying to knife Abby less and less during the ending final fight because for some reason I thought by doing that I could avoid killing Abby. I was able to disconnect myself from the loss of our beloved character Joel, but found a connection and understanding through Abby while playing her story and seeing how she inevitably outgrew the WLF mindset and in a way, finally understood why Joel did what he did through her connection with Lev. She now understood what it was like to kill everyone in your path to save someone dear to you. The loss this game depicts had me feeling it towards the end, and the emotional tole it takes would make anyone eventually quit the fighting and quit the killing. I'm happy with the ending and I'm happy with the story they created, once I actually thought about how our world would be if something like this would happen, I realized that this story is as real as can be. Abby's actions at the end seemed more justified than Ellie's, and that to me made perfect sense.

The game exceeded my expectations. I went into it as open minded as possible and tried to stay that way. In turn I got to go on an emotional roller coaster that took incredible risks. But I admire it for exactly that; it’s now my favorite game. It arrived in great shape except for the case being cracked. But the discs work fine.

Incredible game! My husband and I enjoyed the story and the graphics! The different game modes were also super fun and challenging. We definitely recommend it! We were so sad to get to the end of the game lol

One of the best PlayStation 4 games ever. The gameplay and environment are second to none. The story was captivating and interesting. While the sorry is controversial because of its direction, that shouldn’t keep you from playing this masterpiece.

Excellent game with a great story that gets you involved with the characters and care about what happens to them. It’s also very long and takes awhile to finish, nothing is quick or easy.

I will never understand the negative response by owners of this game. Yes, there are certain plot points that might not be what you wanted, but that doesn't change the fact that this game is the most polished, dramatic, engaging game in years. I consider this to be a top 3 game of the PS4 generation. Easily a 10/10.

[No spoilers] I personally loved this game. I know there's a lot of controversy about the direction the story takes but I think the way they executed it by the end is pretty good for the most part. If you can get past the initial shock and possible anger that comes from the direction, I believe it becomes enjoyable by the end. My only major complaint is that there are certain sections of the game that have a lot of time pass before you actually get to the next major story beat. Gameplay wise I have no complaints at all. It's an overall improvement from the last game with some new weapons, enemy types, and even smaller touches such as the ability to go prone. The graphics look great (as expected from Naughty Dog). TLDR: Good game with a story that takes a bold approach some might not agree with.

This game was an amazing experience. The characters, story, everything was incredible. It's one of the best games I've ever played, and definitely a worthy sequel. It has the best graphics of any game by far. Besides the game itself, delivery was great! No damage and it came on time. I definitely recommend this to anybody.

One of the best games of this year!! Great follow up sequel to the first game, beautiful graphics, and love how Ellie is able to take over Joel's love of playing the guitar. So many new characters and great character development with Ellie as she's grown up and the story has taken a turn from her point of view.

Excellent story had me hooked from the beginning. The game was longer than i thought it would be. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone interested in great gameplay and excellent story telling. This game is an instant classic, i hope the dlc comes out soon for more content. I am suffering through withdrawal.

First, let me say that I have never played a video game that elicited such powerful emotions from me. This game is without a doubt one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of the medium, perfectly expanding on the greatness of the original. It will run the gamut of emotion from thrills, frustration, sadness, and shock. It will subvert your expectations, and it will lead you down roads you would rather leave untread. Towards the end of the game, there is a moment where I was practically BEGGING for the story to be over. But this was not because the story was in any way wanting; it was because I had already suffered so much along with these characters I just wished for them to have a single glistening moment of peace. But then, the story continues, and is all the more powerful for it. I will avoid spoilers, but this game masterfully weaves themes of hate, revenge, short-sightedness, forgiveness, deceit, and even joy together in a colorful tapestry. While it may not end happily, you cannot deny that this game will make you think, and that the ending is one for the ages. I cannot recommend this enough.

The Last of Us Part 2 provides a gripping narrative and action-packed gameplay. The music and sound design is impeccable and the characters are fleshed out and human. It pushes the bar on diversity in games and does an excellent job of exploring representation. Truly a masterpiece near the end of this console generation.

Let ne start off by saying, I am not a gamer and i get bored easily, i bought my ps4 in 2017 and i only used it twice, up until i started playing uncharted series during covid(2020). Fast foward to 2023. I was browsing and i saw this title. It was on sale, so i bought it.ive been playing it for the last month and it has kept me entertained and like i said i get bored easily, after i was done with the game , ill go back and replay a part and put it in survival mode, keeps you on your toes ! great game ! Great storytelling!

This game was amazing. I thoroughly loved the first TLOU, and this one reminded me why. I don't play TLOU for amazing mechanics or combat, I play it for the engaging story. And this game delivers over and over, driving a story that is painful and even conflicting to get through as a player, but that's the point. Some criticize that the game didn't change much gameplay-wise, and that's mostly true. But it doesn't feel like that matters, because you're too into the story to care about what buttons you're pressing. If you love cinematic games and engaging stories, definitely pick this one up. People need to understand that not everything is made for them. A creator wanted to make a story, and The Last of Us Part 2 is another part of the story that they wrote for us to enjoy, not a story we get to write because we wanted it to go our way. This game has gotten a lot of negative criticism for tons of reasons that, after playing the game, feel like negativity for negativity's sake - I implore you to give this game a try and enjoy it for yourself.

Not sure why there was so much controversy with this game. Story and gameplay was great. Graphics, voice acting, everything was excellent. Naughty Dog puts lots of efforts into their games, and this was no exception. I got it for $15 on sale, and it was worth every penny.

One of the best games I've ever played. Don't let the misguided anti-LGBTQ community ruin it for you. I don't care about any of that if the story works and it does. It doesn't feel forced down my throat and seems organic. The story is longer than you think but lots of fun. Gameplay is great too.

The Last Of Us Part 2 picks up where the previous entry left off. Much like the first game, the audio and visuals are cutting edge. Additionally the story amd narrative are very strong, much like the previous entry. While there are more wide open areas (a la Uncharted 4) the controls, encounters, and pacing are pretty much the same as the prior entry. So don't expect a complete over haul compared to something like God Of War (PS4).

This is a very well written account of the game story. I don't regret getting it.
