The gameplay is great, the graphics are top notch and beautiful on a 4K HDR display, very next-gen-like, gameplay is smooth on the PS4 Pro with very few dips, the presentation of the overall game and plot are outstanding and typical Naughty Dog. But the story is not even close to what I expected, and even uncomfortable at times. They’re definitely pushing an agenda with this one, and I really wish they had gone a different direction. I use video games to relax, get away from reality for a few hours a day, not to listen to your political and social viewpoints being shoved in my face at every turn. I wanted to play as Joel and Ellie again, see how things fleshed out after the events of the first game, which there is a little tiny bit of, not the direction they went. They did my boy wrong, and went way out in left field. This game both feels like The Last of Us and doesn’t all at the same time. Definitely NOT a 10/10. Was very excited for this one, but it falls short. I don’t pre-order and I don’t pay full price, but for the Last of Us 2, I made an exception...and I kinda wish I hadn’t. I still recommend the game, but wait for a sale. Didn’t want to believe the user reviews, but they’re not totally wrong. Doesn’t deserve 1/5 but doesn’t deserve 5/5 either. So I land somewhere in the middle.

I purchased this game for my 21 year old son. He said the graphics were good and it has a pretty good story line also. He’s happy with the game and continues to play it often. He also has the first game in this series. Overall he said to give The Last of Us part 2 a good rating.

This latest installment in The Last of Us really hits home. The graphics are top tier, the story is compelling and has me wanting more. The other blockbuster hit that is right up there with some of the best movies out.

Whatever your opinions may be on the story, even if you saw the leaks, I implore you to try this yourself if you liked the first game and like a challenging and complex narrative. Gameplay is basically just a more polished and better version of the first one, and story is just as good imo. Worth the $60.

Let ne start off by saying, I am not a gamer and i get bored easily, i bought my ps4 in 2017 and i only used it twice, up until i started playing uncharted series during covid(2020). Fast foward to 2023. I was browsing and i saw this title. It was on sale, so i bought it.ive been playing it for the last month and it has kept me entertained and like i said i get bored easily, after i was done with the game , ill go back and replay a part and put it in survival mode, keeps you on your toes ! great game ! Great storytelling!

This game was wonderful despite all the negative reviews I decided to play and finish it. This story is gut punching and beautiful with no one safe. It's a wonderful adventure and I needed an emotional break at the end. It's a tense game with almost zero letups but is extremely rewarding and wonderous.

This game exceeded my expectations graphically, with the gameplay, and story. I know some people did not like the way the story unfolded, but it went in a different direction than expected and thought it wrapped up the story in a realistic fashion with the story set in this post apocalyptic world.

Even though some people are disappointed with the game. It's one of the best games of the year in my opinion. The graphics and the beauty of the surroundings make the game so realistic and jus breath taking. If ur a fan of great story telling and played part 1 u will enjoy this in ur ps4 library.

Great price for a great game!!! If you ever played this game and enjoy any kinda apocalypse type game, then this is a no brainer for $10!! Probably wont last long at this price, unfortunately!!

When I was playing this game it consumed me. I played lengthy sessions because the story was so engaging I needed to know what was going to happen. It takes somewhat of an emotional toll to play through the game but it's well worth it. This is not a game to play if you want to shut your brain off. The game is controversial because of some plot points and storytelling decisions that happen throughout the game. These are brave choices by Naughty Dog and though I'll admit I was upset at first, as I continued to play the game and learn more about the characters and their motivations, I began to understand and accept them. A character I started out hating I now love. Characters I stood behind 100% I now realize are flawed, but that's OK and they're still great characters. No one's perfect. This game is brilliant and a true test of your ability to empathize with others. At the end of the day, if you support one character for their reasons but don't understand or support the other, you've missed something big.

Just as the title says, this is the best game ever created right next to its predecessor. From the story down to the graphics, everything has been upgraded to make you FEEL the story more so than before. There’s a reason why this franchise is critically acclaimed. Do yourself a favor and buy it.

The Last of Us is the latest out of Triple-A studio Naughty Dog and they deliver again. Solid gameplay, the most beautiful environments ever put into a video game and a top-notch story about revenge make for one of the best games released this console generation. A must-have for any PS4 owner.

Just play through it, the amount of attention to detail and the story line once you view it objectively is amazing, plus you can just stare in awe at some of the set pieces and just be at ease in the chaos of knowing that a new event is just around the corner. I hope there will be a number 3.

Amazing visuals and great story. It’s a long game but you definitely get your money’s worth. Nice continuation of the story

Good follow up title to the original game that adds more to the lore of the post-apocalyptic world of Last of Us. Fairly fitting story and ending as well. The game looks and plays well on the PS5. A newer remastered version is on the horizon though at $70 with no option to upgrade, so something to be aware of.

I have followed naughty dog since their days of crash bandicoot. Every time I play their games, I know I’m getting quality product. This game is no different. Gripping story, stunning visuals, tight controls. 5 star game.

I was extremely excited about this game and the delays made my anticipation higher. After finishing the game I am slightly disappointed because it’s over but also because of the game itself. There were some great moments of gameplay and the story was very interesting, however I didn’t have that feeling of emotion that The Last of Us left me with. Still highly recommend this game for those who loved TLoU

Had to buy two copies and return one as my pre-order didn't get here on time; thankfully my local store was open and I could get one with curbside pickup. I ordered 2 weeks early, so don't know why the pre-order didn't get here on release day. That aside, played through the game and it's not great. The AI is laughably bad, the story line is pretty disjointed and was unnecessarily burdened with the "include everything" agenda. The graphics are beautiful, the voice acting is on point and the gameplay is...fine. But given how long they had to make this sequel, they really could have improved the gameplay far more and made it more interesting. It feels like they spent FAR more time on the cutscenes/story than everything else; I'm not going to drop any spoilers (though pretty much everything has been revealed on the net and you can decide for yourself if you want to deal with the "surprises"). The game itself is just more of the same from the first. Enemy variation is really poor and it gets tedious quickly, especially through the second half. Finished it, got the wholly unsatisfying ending and sold the game off the next day. Zero replay value for me.

A great new story to follow up the epic first one. Wow the first game was in a riproaring adventure that really punched you in the gut at the end this one is a more of Hard-core revenge tale that shows just how violence and anger can corrupt everybody. I love the action of this game and would tell anyone to buy it.

Absolutely incredible game. I completed it after a long marathon weekend in about 25 hours of gameplay. It is every bit the worthy successor to TLoU and raises the bar in many ways. The story is heart wrenching, exhausting, and difficult to take in at times... everything I hoped it would be.
