Amazing, must play.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing sequel to an already great standalone original title with the Last of us. Personally, I loved playing this game from beginning to end. Yes, more Ellie and Joel would of been nice but I understand why they made the store changes they did.

Almost best game of PS4 games ever made
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outside of the fact that I am a huge Uncharted fan for gaming, this falls into the best game ever category for most realistic game ever played. Numerous times when you think the game is over, it keeps going, and that is all I will say not to spoil it.

Brilliant
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely wonderful follow up game. First one still inches this one out, but I could not have been more impressed. The wait was worth it. I truly hope they continue the story with Ellie. She’s become one of my favorite video game characters of all time.

Can't beat the sales price

Beautiful And gory game
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very beautiful and dark game at the same time. This game is not suitable for children. If you played part one you must play part two it is just as good if not better. It is very beautiful and detailed and very dark and gory at the same time.

Thrilling and suspenseful
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved the game. Beat first playthroughs around 30 hours. (I'm a 100% player so it's a little longer) on second play now and still love the game. Good story, amazing scenery and the fighting is a blast. Sad that it'll likely be the end of the series.

It’s not perfect but I like it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story makes some questionable choices but I think it is trying to hammer in a message. If the only thing you care about is the story then this probably isn’t the game for you but if you’re looking for a great action survival game then I recommend this one. It expands on every mechanic in the last game in a smart way and is fun and tense throughout.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played the first game quite some time ago, and was absolutely looking forward to this games release. Naughtydog Had No Material For This
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought the first game was one of the best I've ever played. And I thought the sequel was one of the worst. It's crazy how many people gave this game a great review simply because of its graphics. In my opinion, the story is at the forefront of game creation - not the graphics. With that being said... (Spoil alerts, and kind of long review) 1. Plot Holes I don't wanna spoil the game for the few people who haven't played this yet, but there are some major jumps in the story of this game. In the first game, Joel and Ellie and traveling together from one place to the next in a realistic momentum. Traveling across a city at a time, and slowly working their way to the university on the east coast where the game finishes. In this sequel, there are "cutscenes" where Ellie travels across entire states to where the next part of the game story begins. Including a return trip to the university where the first game ended. I mean, it took an entire game of VERY dangerous travel to cover a much shorter distance in the first game, and now we're expected to believe that Ellie (followed by Joel) travelled from Colorado all the way back to the east cost? On horseback? Without any dangerous adventure? It would literally TAKE MONTHS to travel on horseback from Colorado to Maryland. What route did Ellie and Joel take? Where did they get their food along the way? Did they come across NO ONE? No threats whatsoever? And then they travelled back to Colorado on horseback.... which would have taken months.... and again without conflict????? How did no one else playing this game catch this? This crap happens again as Ellie and her girlfriend are transported from Colorado to Seattle Washington, and then back to Colorado. And then transported from Colorado to Cali. The distances needed for travel between these locations on horseback would again take WEEKS. It's very difficult to buy into the storyline with this jumping around between cities, leaving us just to "assume" they encountered no issues along the way. Over the course of weeks/months. Completely unbalanced. Perhaps the storyline of this game was supposed to be a lot more but scope creep came up and they had to make huge cuts into the gameplay. Or rather, I assume this storyline isn't at all what the creators of Naughtydog wanted, but were too pressured into bringing Joel and Ellie back by the public or their executives since these characters would obviously draw in profits. They should've had different game in the same universe but with different characters to give themselves more time to think this one over. Abbey's character also doesn't fit. In a post apocalyptic world without cell phones or GPS or the internet. I find it hard to imagine that she would be successful in tracking down Joel and Ellie in Colorado and just coincidently run into them. Naughtydog clearly didn't have enough material to make another story with Joel and Ellie without making the plot about revenge. Which is why they have half the story from an entirely different set of characters. Using different characters was a good idea, but should have been without a Joel and Ellie narrative. Although the city of Seattle was Beautifully designed in this game, the game felt a lot more stagnant with most of it in just one city. In this game, you're kept in one large piece of the city, and then moved onto another large piece. So you spend lots of time in fewer Large areas vs the constant moment of smaller areas in the first game. The momentum of the first game and more wide exploration made it that much more vibrant. Hopefully one day I'll forget about this game entirely and will only remember the first one. 2. Mechanics No matter how fast you are at running, you're guaranteed to be shot by every single bullet. In the first game, some bullets would be more accurate than others depending on your movements. In this game, EVERY bullet hits you. And as soon as you're trying to get back up you're hit again and again. Keeping you down and usually dying before you can do anything.

A technical marvel hamstrung by an unfocused story
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On the surface, everything about TLOU2 is fantastic. The gameplay is solid, if a bit basic and not fully developed, the graphics are incredible, and the quality of the writing is generally good. Production-wise, nothing poor can be said about this game. The problem lies in the execution of the story and the pace of the game. The characters, even those you've grown to care about from the first game, are made into unlikeable agents of the miserable message of the game. Too much is crammed in to an already overly long game. Nothing is given time to develop, even though they had ample in-game time to develop the characters. The story is told in fits and starts. Just when you start connecting with the story, you're ripped from it to engage with some other aspect. In the end, nothing feels resolved. It is completely unsatisfying. As an experience, I found it engaging. But in the end, I was extremely disappointed and felt cheated by the journey the developers took me on.

Hairs standing up from intensity
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wondered how they could follow up with another Last of Us. This game is intense. There were so many times where I could feel the hairs standing up on the back of my neck. Wow. And the graphics are absolutely stunning.

10/10 Sequel
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Last of Us Part II is a gripping follow up in the series, and Naughty Dog upped the stakes even further. I throughly enjoyed the story they chose to tell, even despite how raw and emotionally draining it was to play through. Cannot recommend enough.

A perfect companion piece to the first game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful graphics, amazing gameplay, great cast of characters (both old and new.) If you're being hesitant about purchasing this game (like I was after the leaks), I'm here to tell you it is just as good as the first game if not a little bit better.
