Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been the best game I've played in a long time. Gaming, in my opinion, has become a little stale in recent years, and some of Nintendo's games have been particularly stale. However, Breath of the Wild has been the game to rekindle my love for gaming again. Nintendo has recreated Ocarina of Time's original charm without using the old formula - it is a fresh, unique experience. There is so much to do in this game with a seamingly limitless scope, that I cannot put it down. Seriously, please help. My favorite gameplay element is the exploration. This proves a real challenge, but it is also very relaxing. This is really one of the least "hand-holdy" games I've ever played. I highly recommend BotW - it is a game everyone SHOULD play. The master edition is fantastic. I really am finding use in the carry case, the statue is of great quality and composed of metal with a stone base, and I am finding enjoyment in the selection CD. The box was a lot bigger than I expected! It was an awesome surprise. Also, kudos to Best Buy for being prompt about shipping this too. Best Buy shipped just in time for a release date delivery. I am very pleased with them!

This game is not a masterpiece. Yeah, nearly every outlet has given this game a perfect score, but that doesn't make it perfect. Personally, I'd give it a 9.5. The Legend of Zelda is my favorite IP ever though, so I judge it by a higher standard. The endurance meter is tedious, weapon durability is annoying, inventory management is a hassle, dungeons are too small, voice acting is laughable, and the lack of a robust soundtrack is disappointing. However, the shrines are fun, the world is huge and fun to explore, the characters are entertaining, and the game can be pretty hilarious. Forty hours in and it has flown by. Great game, just wish it felt more like a Zelda game.

I didn't preorder from Best Buy since most of my available funds went to the Switch at the time, I did snag one from Amazon. After months of waiting and rewatching Nintendo Treehouse and E3 footages it finally arrived at the moment I started unboxing my Switch, beautiful irony. From unboxing the Switch I switched to Zelda and the outer box is a nice marble black with the Sheikah eye and Breath of the Wild master sword Z logo. Inside, the box containing the master sword is marble white with both the english logo and Princess Mononoke inspired japanese logo, a real keeper. As for the statue, it has some weight at the base and proud to say my master sword stood straight with no bends. I plan to keep the boxes and I already have the master sword displayed and will continue to treasure it for my lifetime. Yes, I got paranoid during the whole Amazon cancelling fiasco that happened prior to release date. Side note, as several reviewers have stated, the included game cover is different from retail instead of description it is a depiction of the Guardian attacking. So folding the case into full view, it shows the Guardian firing a laser at Link who stands gallantly to wild. The Zelda case is bigger than the official case. I mean bigger. The second reason I bought this edition is the soundtrack selection cd, for the past months I've rewatched the trailers to listen to the music in addition to some fan made reproductions. Out of the Sound Selection CDs released by Nintendo this is the bigger collection with 24 tracks vs the usual 10 tracks from Twilight Princess. The CD contains the famous Breath of the Wild theme but a live version that is just as inspiring. My second favorite track is Rito Village (Day) because this track shares the opening melody with the Ruins trailer. Sadly, the songs from the Ruins trailer and Switch Presentation trailer are not present perhaps from the full release later this year.

my local store only had one of these and I managed to grab it. I do not regret it. The statue is a nice addition to my collection, the map is very nice and is awaiting a frame, the coin has great detail (as with everything in this box) and the case is prefect for any zelda fan. I am very happy with this,you get a lot of quality items for the price. The statue has hard full plastic base (the stone) the sword blade seems plastic with some flex to it and he handle is metal. Map is very detailed and is on very good quailty paper. The coin has good weight on it, the zelda Z logo from BOTW with the sword through it, (as it does in the name of the game) on one side, and the sheikah symbol on the other side. The case is very sturdy and fits the switch portable console perfectly. I would recommend this if you can find it. Great for die hard collectors!

The Master Edition is the essential package for the avid Legend of Zelda collector. I'm going to focus primarily on the game and the included items rather than its extremely limited availability and 10 minute pre-order window. The game truly is a masterpiece. We thought Zelda games of the past were perfect, but our expectations were succeeded. Breath of the Wild is absolutely beautiful to look at, has a truly open world landscape with substance and secrets in nearly every nook and cranny, and a non-linear story that you take in at your own pace. It has numerous memorable characters and moments, battles with behemoths, and cooking. With 5 main dungeons, 120 shrines to discover, and 900 secret Koroks to find, you can be playing the game for well over 120 hours like I have. I wouldn't say it is the perfect game; there really isn't one. But you can tell the love and passion put in by its developers and the experience is well worth the wait. The game is a breath of fresh air for the Zelda franchise, and I hope that the next one will improve on every weakness and build upon its strengths. The bundle itself includes a Soundtrack Selection CD, a poster of the map of Hyrule, a Sheikiah coin, a very useful case for your Switch console and 12 game cartridges, and a statue of the Master Sword. The CD was great but there are some tracks from the game I wish were on it. The coin and map are basic but still neat. The case by far is the best inclusion for carrying your Switch on the go. That's the one that will stay with you, but is also included in the Special Edition. The sword is the only item exclusive to the Master Edition, and it looks gray with the rustic detail and was also much heavier than I was expecting. Looks great on a shelf next to amiibo. Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a 10/10. The game is worth every dollar and the items included in the Master Edition are just the icing on the cake. Even if you couldn't manage to pre-order and obtain the Master Edition or even the Special Edition, don't let that stop you from experiencing this game. It may not be a perfect game for everyone, but it is still an enjoyable adventure. Rescue the Princess, Save the World.

I feel very fortunate to have got one of these since they sold out so fast when they went up. They did a pretty good job on everything packaged here the sword statue could have used a better paint job on the base and flowers but the actual sword looks good. The map, case and coin are all good quality and worthy of being included. If you can pick up for a decent price at some point I would recommend it, unfortunately Nintendo is not producing anymore so you would have to pick up on the secondary market.

I had the amazing opportunity of purchasing the Master Edition when it was available. My friend got the special edition and I must say the extra money was well worth the prize. In the master edition you get a physical copy of the game, a limited Shiek and Hyrule Coin that is in a plastic case which is amazing for collectors, a beautiful parchment map that is perfect for framing, A beautiful and amazing Shiek case for your Nintendo Switch that firsts it perfectly and snug. Along with those you get the audio soundtrack (yes on CD) and finally the thing that sets it apart... The Rusted Master Sword in a Cement block.... I did an unboxing video and the first thing out of my mouth was "I can smell the paint!" I just love this edition so much more than ALL the other Zelda collector editions I've ever bought and I've bought them ALL!

The game is amazing, I put so many hours into it and I feel like I missed a lot still. The extras that come with this edition are fantastic. The statue is heavy and high quality and a beautiful display piece. The map is really nice and I plan on framing at some point. I didn't listen to the CD but the music in the game is great, so the CD should be as well. The coin is nice, been collecting those for awhile. The best part is the sheikah slate carry case. It's such a fantastic design, fits the switch perfectly and has space to carry games and some extras. Well worth the money, even the box is pretty!

As a lifelong fan of the Legend of Zelda, I enjoy this limited edition very much. Some people might complain about the Master Sword being soft plastic, but my personal guess is that it's made that way so it won't get broken during a fall. The map actually feels like a map, and the CD has a nice selection of tracks. The coin is a nice item, and the Switch carrying case saves me the trouble of having to buy a separate one. My only complaint about this set is the limited availability, as I had to camp my computer just to try and get ahold of one. But overall, this is a fantastic set for a fantastic game.

This edition comes with a lot of fun collectibles, including a nice sized Master Sword statuette, a sound selection CD, a coin, and a Switch case. The coin and carrying case for the Switch are both good quality. Wish the map was bigger, since the in-game map is so expansive! But overall, a lot of nice things included for the price compared to some other games' collectors editions.

This is an amazing buy for Zelda fans! The statue is great and feels nice and weighty, the Sheikah case has been great for my new Switch, the CD hasn't left my car since launch day, and everything else is just icing on the cake... I'm even hoping to frame my map! An amazing purchase, made even better because of my Best Buy Gamer's Club Unlocked subscription!

I love the carrying case, the map, the coin, and the game. They are all on point. The master sword statue, though? meh. It looks kind of cheap. Also the flower that was suppose to be connected to it was broken. I am disappoint.

Breath of the Wild has taken up most of my gaming time on the Switch. It's a fantastic, immersive game with hours and hours of game play. The DLC adds new difficulty modes and content, and I expect the next DLC will be just as good. The Sheikah Slate case that comes with the Master Edition is a work of art. None of the other cases come close to the design or quality. It has been my goto case since day one. The Master Sword statue is a great display piece among other Zelda collectibles on my shelf. I am quite surprised at the quality of the map and tapestry. Usually collector editions are just cheap paper, but it's a quality piece that is worthy of a good frame. The game case itself also comes with different cover art than the regular edition Zelda. I usually just buy regular edition games, but with the GCU discount and the quality of this set, I feel the price was well worth it.

This game is wonderful! It's open world and is massive! The Legend of Zelda creators really stepped up their game with this one. The story is amazing and the character developments are beyond wonderful. I am so glad I was able to snag the master edition before it went out of stock. Overall this is a great game for the family to sit around and watch to enjoy, especially all the funny ways you may die in it lol! The statue that came in with the Master edition was in perfect shape! It wasn't warped in the blade or anything. I was actually surprised on how heavy it was!

I'm a die hard Zelda gamer, so of course I got the master edition! The game is of course perfect, with endless things to do aside from the main quest. Also the additions that came with this set look fantastic on my bookcase.

Fantastic edition of an amazing game, too bad there were so few made. All the extras are a nice touch. The carrying case was a nice bonus if you want to take the switch mobile. Also the Master Sword replica is amazing as well. The soundtrack is nice to have and the gold coin is another nice touch, the Map however isn't really all that great and the back is the same art/style as a repeated story inside the game so while it was a nice touch that is probably my least favorite piece of the edition.

By now there are plenty of reviews about the game itself, But the Master edition is a fantastic collectible. The Nintendo Switch Carry case that came with the Switch Master Edition of BOTW is very well put together, with plenty of room for the Switch Console, two joy cons, as well for most of the accessories including just enough for the power brick. It feels very sturdy, for what is is itself. The Statue of the master sword that came with it is Wonderfully detailed, and definitely a bit weighty, they didn't design it lightly when making it. The base is solid and the master sword itself while not being metal is still durable, while still not meant to be bent or twisted. It does not pull from the base, chance of breaking if it you try. The map and the coin that came with the game as well as nice little touches, and are just more additions to the collectibles that came with the game. The game itself is a great achievement for Nintendo, the care that has gone into crafting such a grand world for Link to roam. Is something that has been well worth the wait!

First time buying a collector’s edition and I love everything that comes with it, especially the sword!

After much debate between the Master and Special editions I purchased the Master. I am glad I did. The statuette is built quite well and looks awesome on my home office desk. The game is incredible. The soundtrack is fantastic, the map feels real and the coin is very cool.
