It's Zelda meets GTA, so it's perfect. Almost too much game to play it I'm honest. Multiple times I've been sidetracked by a side quest to another side quest in a third inception side quest. You can play for hours, seeing something all together new and just get utterly lost in the world.

I'm not really a Zelda fan...I've played them but never really finished a game since Ocarina on the 64... It's an open world Zelda game like I've never seen before. I have ADD when I play...I set a destination and I end up cutting grass for 20 minutes and swimming and fishing...and I forget where I'm supposed to be. The side missions are somewhat fun. It's like 80% side missions. So game play is so close to endless.

This game has a way of immersing you into the world of Hyrule. It starts off slow but once you are freed from the tutorial area, the world becomes seemingly infinite. I have heard of people spending 300+ hours playing this game, and I believe them. I have heard that this game is nothing like the previous Zelda titles in a few ways, if you’re coming from one of them then have open expectations. If you're new to the franchise then welcome, because you’ll enjoy your stay.

Not much to say that hasn't been said by the entirety of the internet. This and Mario are most likely the reason you bought a Switch!

Zelda Breath of the Wild is an extremely well-thought out and fun-filled game. Unfortunately, I have had little experience with previous Zelda games, but as a newcomer, this game is like nothing I have played in years. The story-line is good, side quests are engaging, and there is enough adventure and challenges from additional shrines, korok seed puzzles, etc. to keep you entertained for hundreds of hours. Overall I would say Nintendo knocked this one out of the park, and would be surprised if this does not win Game of the Year.

They finally got the open world exploration aspect of the Zelda franchise right. Great exploration aspect as well as a linear story line.

I've always been a fan of Zelda, but I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the N64, thus Ocarina of Time being the last game I played in the series. BOTW is astonishing. It's so good that you can just get drunk with exploration. I've yet to finish it, but I know I'll easily put 200+ hours into this. For me, it's easily comparable to Skyrim in terms of how great the open world truly is. If you have a Switch and have not yet played this, do yourself a favor and get it.

Stunning sums it up. Imagine being able to move throughout the map of this massive iteration of Hyrule with absolutely zero load times. Gameplay is perfect with exploits galore as you learn new techniques. Story is lacking overall as most reviews will point out, however I make up my own story for Link as he moves from each imposing environment. This is an experience for the ages.

This game has more detail and overall thought put into it than anything I've ever encountered before in the Zelda family of games. There are limitless things that can be done...there is no direct path and its an open world for endless adventure. If you are even good enough to get to the end of the game...there are DLC packs that nintendo has come out with to bring the game experience and difficulty to an even higher level. Comparing with Mario64 which is the greatest game of all time...this is a very very close second.
