I've enjoyed every Zelda game I've played, Breath of the Wild was no different! The sounds and characters are pure Zelda. The controls are pretty tight. My one qualm with the game is the weapon durability mechanic. I'd like to have seen the weapons last a little longer. Not a deal breaker for me though.... if you own a Switch, then Zelda BotW is a must own.

the graphics and the story are excellent, besides the great audio

Although the open world format may cause confusion about what to do or where to go, this is still one fun game with tons to do. Don't rush it. Take your time and enjoy the scenery. You will find lots of good stuff just walking around and exploring. Good first game for the Switch.

Some may think that Zelda is kind of like a tease to Link I mean this dude has been through a lot over the yeara and you would think that he would finally get a little bit of yum yum. But I guess that's why you keep on playing because it might eventually happen for him. Go Link!

I just bought a switch to get ready for the new Pokemon game and I wanted to play something in the meantime. Zelda games are always great and this is no exception. It is different from the others, as it's more open ended. If you've played Fallout, it's similar to that, as there's so many side quests. Definitely worth the time and money

Hands down this is the best game I’ve ever played. I have completed it but I’m still playing. It’s THAT good and THAT expansive. I am eagerly awaiting the sequel to this but it’ll be hard to live up to this. So much fun.

And I don't use that phrase lightly too! The depth, the scenery (environment), the game play, the music, just about everything about this game screams high quality & what you're experiencing is surreal. It's different than a typical Zelda game but you still know you're playing a Zelda game if that makes sense. I prefer using a Pro controller over the joy cons.

This game just blew my mind. I hvae been a long time Zelda fan and this one just blows everything out of the water. This game is a mix of everything Zelda has ever been. Best game ever. Huge open world, great monsters, great story, and a great new game to the series. It is 100% redesigned. Trust me. This is a must have. For new players and veteran players alike.

This game is awesome! So many different armors, weapons, potions, foods, hints and characters it's mind boggling. Some story line, but mostly free form game play. You don't have to beat mini bosses or conquer an area before moving forward in the game, for example. So much to do and discover, this will be the first Zelda game I'm buying a game guide for. Love it!

Fantastic all around. Astounding gameplay and story

The salesperson at Best Buy said this was the game to buy for my new Nintendo Console, which is really just a very small tablet. He was right in that it is a fun game to play. But the resolution is very ten years ago at 1080 p. I've got a 4K HDR TV and it looks very pixilated. Still, I hate Sony so there's no going back. The game took some time as there is no difficulty level so I died several times just trying to get across the plain for the first time. In fact, I've died many times. I'm still on the upper plateau and that will surly take me a while before I'm able to go to all four shrines.

It's a Zelda game which already brings high quality. It's all the subtleties and nuances that make it truly stand out from the crowd of open world games. Take your time. Explore. Enjoy. And have fun. You will not be disappointed. Someday, I'd love to see a game like this have an MMO feel to it. The quality just makes you want to experience with friends.

I absolutely love this game! There's so much to do and the world is massive. I've had it for about a month now and I'm still discovering new areas. I wasn't a big fan of Skyward Sword, and Breath of the Wild has brought back everything I love about the past Zelda games and more!

I bought this game as a gift and my fiancé will play it for hours. Tons of fun and very versatile in that the game can be taken from our living room into the car. He has not stopped playing it except for periods of eating, sleeping and studying. Great game, very beautiful scenes, and the cooking is probably my favorite part to watch.

Challenging, great controls, wide open world, great graphics!

Breath of the Wild met or exceeded my expectations in gameplay, graphics, and storytelling. It is most certainly the greatest Zelda game since Ocarina of Time, and I could understand someone ranking it as the best ever. The world is MASSIVE and gorgeous. The combat is challenging and unforgiving from the very beginning of the game. Well worth the purchase, 10/10

Nintendo has finally gotten the formula back on track for a Zelda game! The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is phenomenal! It is such an extensive game and there is so much to explore with it! This is the best Zelda game in my opinion since Twilight Princess! This game utilizes all of the Switch's features and allows me to play as I go. Way to go Nintendo!

I've been playing video games since the original Legend of Zelda on the NES and have played the all major Nintendo console Zelda games. BotW is as great as all the prior Zeldas. I've read other reviewers complaining lack of cohesion or boring pacing, however the degree of exploration in this game is amazing. Take your time. Pace yourself. Explore!

The world is massive and ripe for exploring. The various areas have their distinct biomes and don’t feel like a copy paste job. The dungeons were a bit lackluster by Zelda standards, and I found the campaign to be a bit too “generic Zelda”without the unique flavor of titles like Twilight Princess or Wind Walker. Nevertheless, a phenomenal game.

Breath of the Wild provides a timeless experience with an amazing world full of fun things to do. Although the durability system of the weapons is the biggest downside it requires versatility and experimentation of different weapons, instead of keeping you locked into using one weapon. Exceptional game and a proud member of the Legend of Zelda family.
