I waited a very very very long time for Nintendo to release this game. It was teased as far back as the Wii days (heh). I bought a Wii with Twilight Princess and after playing that, a new Zelda game was announced. Then the Wii U came out. I bought the Wii U in anticipation for this game. I bought Mike Tyson Punch Out...as I awaited this game then nothing. Wii U was a flop. Then all of a sudden this Switch console was released with this game. What?! Due to my frustrations and disappointment with Nintendo, I didn't purchase until the unforeseen Pandemic hit. Well after finally deciding to purchase one as my circumstances aligned with an uncanny coincidence, I bought A Switch with Zelda. All I can say is, well done and well worth the wait. All is forgiven Nintendo, but I still don't trust you. Haha.

I'm not a huge fan of open-world games, and Breath of the Wild is unfortunately no exception. That being said, I do love the art design they went with and the story has been pretty enjoyable. I prefer the old formula for Zelda games, but there's plenty of things to do despite how scattered it all is. I think it just came out at the wrong time for me because I had already experienced something similar with Horizon: Zero Dawn. I also think Horizon was the better game between the two. I do love the amount of ways you can take down enemies in Breath of the Wild though. It's a fun game to experiment with for sure.

This game will have you sitting on the couch for an endless amount of hours. For the very beginning of the game, you'll be mesmerized by the open world concept and beautiful video graphics. The game is challenging and provides a lot of problem solving puzzles and quests. I love this game!

The story seemed okay, the ending kinda meh. The animation, graphics, effects were all amazing, despite the few instances where the game experienced some latency. Breath of the Wild offers a huge world and tons of exploration.

This game is amazing on the switch! It is somewhat like dark souls in terms of the weapons breaking, but unlike other Zeldas health is abundant, horse riding is much improved from twilight princess, and he open world is amazing and beautiful and fun to explore! Must have title for the switch

This game is fantastic!! Beautiful open world, great leveling, expansive individual areas, fun combat. Altogether, it's a fantastic game although it does run better in handheld mode with some framerate drops in docked mode. Either way, it doesn't matter due to the quality of the game itself.

I can't say enough about this game. I've been playing for more than 30 hours and I still haven't seen the whole map. This game has more content than any I've played in the past. Sleep deprivation is setting in but I don't care. I still stay up playing. The shrine puzzles vary. Some are simple, some are challenging and some feel like just plan luck to get through. The AI in this game is great in some situations but questionable in others. It doesn't take away from the game for me. It's still a joy to keep throwing bombs over a rock and watch the enemies wonder where it came from, just to detonate the bomb as they come to investigate. The physics of this game are spot on. If you hold metal when a thunderstorm comes, you get electrocuted. If you hold something wooden and get near a fire, the object starts on fire and then you can use the fire to start other things on fire, like enemies. Overall, this has to be one of the best games I've ever played and I've gaming since the early 80's.

So much to do, yet so much time... And in that mass amount of time i've got to donate to this game, i've barely scratched the surface! This open world Zelda game is breathtaking. Best in the series, hands down. It's truly open world; you can climb anything you see, and go anywhere you want, at any time you want. So many collectibles and things to do on the side! Well over 900 Korok seeds to collect to expand your inventory, each with their own little Zelda-esque puzzle. The only downside are the dungeons. There are literally only 4, 5 if you count the castle, though if you count the 100+ shrines with their mini puzzles, there are a lot more. There isn't much action in the dungeons, just a bit of problem solving, which for me is a downer. I also am not very fond of the dungeon bosses. They are mech looking things that aren't very unique like the older Zelda bosses which truly were. This doesn't stop the game from being magnificent. I highly recommend.

Great game! Beautiful world. Tons of things to do! Kill wild animals? Done. Eat their flesh? Do it. Want a vegan diet? Dont kill animals...eat mushrooms. Tons of puzzles. Some are super easy and some are tricky. More side quests than you can imagine. If you like fun games buy this one.

AMAZING GAME! I love Zelda. This game is so amazing, and it's just wonderful to play. I love discovering all of the secrets and just running around in the world. I'm so in awe, and I'm still playing it 100 hours in. If you haven't bought this yet, what are you waiting for?

Get this game. I don't even need to say anything else about it. It is the best Zelda game I have ever played. The graphics are beautiful, the open world is phenomenal, and the game brings Zelda into a new genre without compromising any of its Zelda-esque gameplay elements. Highly recommend

It was one o the first games I bought for my switch, and I really love it! It's a beautiful game with plenty of stuff to explore and fight. I kinda miss the bigger dungeons of the earlier games, but there's plenty of other puzzles, enemies, and things to do.

I have only played part of this game, but I already think it could be one of the best Zelda games ever. The open world style really makes the experience seem so big. The map is massive and so far the puzzles have been great.

Long time Zelda fan here and I bought a Switch for this game. It's one of the best open world games ever made. I don't really care for the shrine grind vs dungeons but the world itself has such interactive gameplay I can forgive any faults this game has. A must own for any Switch owner.

Haven't played video games since the Nintendo 64 console - but this game is really great to play regardless of prior experience. If you enjoy a good story, great imagery, and a relaxing, immersive world, this is the game for you!

i thought the 3ds link between worlds, would go down as one of the best for its complete open world that let you accomplish any dungeon/task in any order, this is that same concept TENFOLD with the added graphical upgrade, i wonder if this will be the new zelda formula! we can only hope!

As a long time Zelda fan this is my favorite game in the entire series. All of the Zelda lore and charm are here in full force and the huge open world is home to many sweeping fields and beautiful vistas. If you are an old fan or new to the series this is the perfect entry point. This is the first game I bought with my Switch and I expect it will last me a few hundred hours before I have to pull out my wallet again for another game. Of course there are many more games I want to get on Switch like Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, etc but this seemed like a must-have title to start out my collection with. Now I feel bad for my 3DS and all my unfinished games. I have barely picked up my 3DS since I got the Switch. Overall I highly recommend this game.
