I've played every Zelda game since 1986 when I was 5-years old and each game has a special place in my heart. There are specific titles that are the best of there genre but the original ZELDA in 86 always stood out on how open-world the game was... this is literally a spiritual successor to that in the best ways.

This is really my first Zelda experience-but even still it is a great open world adventure game like RDR2 or Fallout. However, this is much more kid friendly so my kids (5-12) can play too! Only complaint is the shrines with puzzles where you have to move the controller in contorted ways.

I cannot put this game down. When I am not playing this game, I want to be. This game feels like a Zelda game but at the same time it feels like what is suppose to come next. You will spend hours exploring the incredibly vast world, solving clever puzzles and fighting challenging foes. This may be the best game ever made.

An incredible game that changes the way you look at a Zelda game. Breathtaking views and great gameplay. I've spent countless hours in this world.

With limited launch titles, I went ahead and bought my nintendo switch just so I could play this game and it has not disappointed. Deserves every 10/10 rating and will keep you thoroughly entertained for hours. Not to mention the DLC that is being released.

I am impressed by this Zelda game with their approach to an open world series. It was absolutely breath taking and such a new experience to play this game. If you still haven't picked this game up. YOU NEED TO GET THIS ASAP.

Haven’t played a Zelda game prior to this purchase but I can say I’ll be investing my time into the series from now on. The game is simply perfect. The graphic, the gameplay, the storyline. A game worth investing countless hours into. Will always have something to do.

Such a beautiful game. Even though it's open world and has a bunch of open world tropes, it's still Zelda with it's Zelda charm and personality. I love exploring and finding meaningful side quests off to the sides. My only complaint is weapon degradation but I didn't think it hindered my gameplay as much as I thought it would.

For years I could not wrap my head around Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. These were hallmark games that never grabbed me the way they did so many others. But Breath of the Wild is different. It has the polish that Nintendo 1st party games are known. It has personality, challenge, adventure and charm. I could not be happier.

New to the Zelda games, and started playing only about a week ago. I am very impressed how entertaining this game is. I need to free up my schedule, it is so addicting! There is plenty to explore, puzzles are challenging but fun. Will continue to enjoy!

Zelda take on the open-world genre takes the complexity of it and simplifies it enough that you enjoy exploring and doing whatever you want in the game, while still giving a large variety of what you can do in this world. This is a great title and if your looking for a huge time sink, this is your game.

This game has renewed my console gaming life. I have been playing strictly console games all my life until 2 years ago when I started playing PC. This game + the switch has brought me back to the console world and I just have to say this is so worth the GOTY award it got and the hype. Just get it. It is amazing.

I've never been a zelda fan, like ever, played ocarina of time on 3ds and never even finished it, but this game here is a whole nother level. So many side quest, interactions, weapons and equipment all in a open world map (which is HUGE). To me, this should be a game everyone atleast tries out before discrediting.

This is definitely my favorite Zelda game to date. It's got beautiful graphics and excellent gameplay. This will be a game that I return to again and again after I've finished it. There is so much area to explore, and a lot of extras hidden throughout the game.

This game is drastically different from the Zelda games you are used to. At the same time it also is extremely familiar. The new gameplay mechanics and open world style, give this fantastic franchise a new direction while still respecting its rich history.

Been having a lot of fun getting lost exploring the world. I get very distracted from doing the quests :) combat is fun too

Originally bought this for my daughter who loved the open world nature of Mario Odyssey and then got to play BOTW at her cousin's house over the holiday break. She likes it well enough, but the puzzles are still a bit hard for her to get completely on her own, so she had me start playing it. And now I can't put it down. I'm not a classic Zelda fan, nor even open-world type games, but I really do like that this game can be what you want. If you don't want to fight some over-powered monster right now, go do other stuff for a while and come back to it later. Want to spend time exploring? Collecting? Completing side quests? Whatever. For me, pretty much perfect.

This game really is great and it can be separated into nearly two distinct games. The 'main story' portion is actually rather short compared to Zelda games of past, but the 'additional' content is extremely huge and plentiful, enough to be it's own game in itself. Is it great? Yes. Should you buy it? I highly recommend so.

Seriously, stop reading and buy this game. I am only sorry I could not give more than 5 stars. Just go watch some videos of it online to be sure, then buy it. The only important thing to add here is that it is not at all necessary for you to have played any of the past Zelda games to enjoy this game. It stands on its own.
