I've been a huge Zelda fan since the original on the NES, so putting this in the running for best Zelda game ever is high praise indeed. The art style is gorgeous, and it's exhilarating to have the freedom to explore (at your own peril) anywhere in Hyrule. Probably will win game of the year - it's that good.

Amazing game. Seamless map and excellent control of Link. Perfect combat, weapon, cooking, and looting systems. The story is compelling, the side quests are fast and do not distract from main quest. The absolute freedom of movement is unparalleled from any previous Zelda game. So many other points they got right.

I've been a really big fan of the Zelda series even though I've played mostly the handheld spin-offs. Regardless, this is a great entry into a well established franchise and fans of the series should really just clock hours into this game. I'm currently past the 100-hour mark and I'm still playing this game.

This is honestly my first Zelda game that I've invested so much time into. I did play Wind Waker on the Gamecube a few years after it came out but never beat it. I did enjoy Wind Waker but this game blows it out of the water in my honest opinion.

Game is addictive and I can't stop playing! So much activities and quests to explore. A definite awesome game!

I can't say anything here that other people haven't said. Go to Metacritic.com and search for Breath of the Wild. It has a 97% perfect score, which puts it among the highest-reviewed games ever made. It deserves every good review it's gotten. Buy this game. Now I'm going to stop typing and go back to playing it.

Each iteration of Zelda mixes up the formula a bit to make things feel new. With Breath of the Wild Nintendo has taken a lot of the positives from past titles and created something new and exciting that turns the conventions of Zelda upside down, while feeling like a natural maturation of the series. A must buy!

Initially I found myself rattled by the gameplay of breath of the wild but once I let go of my preconceptions for what a Zelda game is, I came to the quick realization that this is one of the best games I done ever did play. P.s. give plant man his maracas as soon as possible

I have yet to even finish this game because there is so much to do and so much to collect. Even after 150+ hours in I don't feel like I'm even close to finishing. Some of the environments may feel empty and the temples seem repetitive but theres still enough other content to make up for it.

I've never played a bad Zelda game. I've played bad Mario/Pokemon/other flagship games. This is Nintendo. This is their baby. Great game. Much love and care putting this game together. Fun and engaging, can't ask for much more.

I absolutely love this game. He'll keep you busy for hours just rummaging through Forest or riding a horse. And then I remember oh I need to actually complete the game. I just like the fact you get the freedom to do whatever you want to do.

Wonderful world great for exploring. What holds this game back is the combat and the fragile weapons that constantly break. Otherwise great game.

Never played a Zelda before this I admit... this game is awesome. I got sucked in and couldn't stop playing for first 3 days. Now I'm in counseling for my Zelda addiction and limit myself to moderate consumption. Buy at your own risk. It's highly addictive and hands down the best game I've played since GTAV

This came overall has been a favorite of mine over the last few years of owning a Nintendo switch. The graphics, the storytelling, and the power that the Nintendo switch can run for this game, it’s just mind blowing!

I owned this on the WiiU and loved it. So much so, i had to make it the 1st Switch title of my collection. The HD difference is definitely noticeable between the Switch version and the WiiU version. There is so much to explore in this game that it is well worth the price.

My favorite switch game, no competition. It had my undivided attention for 3 months! Absolutely loved the challenge of completing the entire thing

Purchased as a gift, as I already own this and its one of the best games I have ever played. I spent over 300 hours the last couple years wandering Hyrule, and I can't wait for another playthough (unless BOTW2 comes first)

If I could score more than 5 stars, I would!!! This is an amazing game! I absolutely love Ocarina of Time, Majors Mask, and Twilight Princess. All were instantly amazing! OoT, was my favorite, than MM, than TP. Now, Breath of the Wild, has taken lead. One of the best games I've played in a long time.

BOTW does a lot to reimagine what it means to be a Zelda game, much less an action RPG. This is a game that sets the bar for Action RPGs for years to come. The graphics are stylistic... simple, yet effective and it will continue to be beautiful forever. Lots of fun. Very easy to recommend.
