    Explore all of Hyrule

One thing you'll learn about this game: Hyrule is huge, and you'll find yourself wanting to explore even while on your way to your next destination. I've found myself taking the scenic route and arriving in town, completely missing the entrance; just sort of dropping in from the top of a nearby hill instead. Not something I'm used to from a Zelda game, but I'm loving it so far. Combine this with a unique story for the series, a colorful cast, cooking up healthy meals , and challenging enemies and dungeons, and you've got a recipe for a game that I'm having trouble putting down. Just a note for pro players that never use items in games because they're saving them for the final boss (you know who you are): USE ITEMS. Increase your attack or defense, give yourself extra hearts and stamina, or you're gonna have a bad time...

A sprawling adventure unlike any other, Breath of the Wild redefines what an open-world game can be. From the moment you step onto the vast plains of Hyrule, you're captivated by a world brimming with life, secrets, and endless possibilities. This isn't just another Zelda game; it's an experience that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

This game was truly incredible. I want to preface that I haven’t played console games since the PS2. And I’ve never played an entire Zelda game fully. But this game was truly incredible. I was able to play it without any issues, the learning curve is easy and very effective. The game mechanics are simple enough to figure out, yet deep enough to provide surprises after many hours of play. The story within BOTW, is inspiring and heart pounding, it’s beautiful and heart breaking, and it’s so well integrated into the game. Immersive, open world play allows your experience to be completely unique. I couldn’t recommend this game more.. do yourself a favor and play this.

I have been a long time Legend of Zelda fan, but I have found that the series is lacking in recent installments. Breath of the Wild fixes nearly all of the problems that series has been suffering in recent installments. While daunting at first, the open world provides something incredible around every corner, it is meticulously detailed so that there is not a single nook or cranny that does not provide something for the player. The world itself provides the player with an amazingly immersive experience, giving life to even the peddlers you pass on the road. The dungeons (shrines) are just the right size to challenge the player without being too oppressive, and challenging enough to provide a strong sense of accomplishment as they leave. And the graphics are amazing, if you are in to that sort of thing.

Manageable game for an 8 year old

I bought this for my 8 year old son as a birthday gift. Honestly, having played Ocarina of Time when I was younger, I felt that the gameplay would be difficult for someone his age, and the story would be over his head. He did tell me that he has watched videos on his tablet of someone who played this game, and because of that, he knows what he needs to do and where he needs to go in the game. It still sounds pretty challenging but he sounds like he is up to the task. If I had more time to devote to video games at this point in my life, I might consider trying to play it because it does look really interesting.

As a player of many open world games, I can say that this game adds a significant element to open world games that no other game has before. Two elements actually. The first being the use of vertical space. It may not seem that important for those of you who haven't played the game yet, but it is very important. It allows you to truly feel free to explore when other games won't allow you to climb mountains etc. The second element is the sense of exploration. Yes other games like the Elders Scroll games also have this, but this game nails it. When you see something strange or interesting in the distance with your binoculars you really want to go see it in person. I would be shocked if future open world games don't take note of this game and try to implement these things in their games.

This game is not only a strong contender for (my opinion) best rpg of all time, but is shoulder to shoulder for BEST GAME OF ALL TIME with giants like Skyrim, Fallout 3/New Vegas/4, Dragon Age, Mario 64, and Pokémon. The exploration and discovery is truly amazing. You get a sense of constant wonderment and joy when playing this game. I first bought this game the day it was released, along with a Nintendo Switch. Once I completed nearly everything you could do, I was finally satisfied and didn’t play it again for a couple years. I just bought another copy and am playing through my second time now. I’m having a blast! 10 out of 10 would recommend this game.

I can't begin to say enough with this game. Nintendo always knows how to bring their flagship games to the table the right way. With the switch, this game just makes you feel more free in both worlds. You can become captivated in the game world while on the go which in ways can make people jealous of you for playing one of the greatest games ever while you're out and about (not concerned lol). Graphics aren't as rich and detailed as let's say...Final Fantasy, but it's Nintendo, and for their graphics I give them an A+! A new Zelda with the same classic feel and an open world makes this easy to just pick up and play. Tutorials allow for new players to easily get a grasp of the controls, and the story can be picked up on quickly as well. Great job on a launch title!!

Going back to the days of NES and the original game (that I spent many weeks playing) I have to say that Ocarina of Time was my next favorite, until now....maybe. Classic Zelda but new enough to be exciting and interesting. The open world is awesome and I love not being locked into a linear order for quests. My son and I have--in fact--spent time just wandering around the lands searching for chests and items and doings side quests, and it's amazingly fun. If I had one gripe it would be that the story leaves you disconnected a bit, especially at the beginning, though that's kind of the point I guess. A games for the ages, with great control and fun for any age. I'd suggest the pro controller if you have bigger hands...it's much better than using the joycons.

Naturally, when I play a game I will only do the main stuffs, I won't do other stuffs, and horizon zero dawn is the first RPG like game that got me hooked, and this will be the second, the story of this game is kind of great, but the exploration none of the game has ever got me hooked, I kept doing shrine and exploring, unlocking towers so much, that I have done like only one divine beast yet, and this is my first Zelda game, I had SNES when I was young, never got the chance to play Zelda other than soccer and donkey kong, now I know that I've been missing out, hope they make all the Zelda again on switch.

I've heard a lot about this game since it's launch back in March, and my mind was blown first playing it in July. This game goes beyond all of it's previous games in a massive way and giving you the option of exploring each region in an apocalyptic world of Hyrule which is a very satisfying experience. I've been playing it non-stop and immersing myself in it's salvageable landscapes Nintendo kindly worked hard to give to us gamers. Reminds me of a cross between a Link Between Worlds and Ocarina of Time. Without a doubt a game of the year in a grand epic scale, it's creator successfully delivered.

Ex cells at everything it does, with an amazing open world full of life and activity. The story is nicely put together so long as you make it a priority. Rain and Lightning are the only things to fear in this new Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an incredible game that will be talked about and reflected upon for generations to come. It's that good. The world is vast, the art style is beautiful, and the story is intriguing. If you want a game that will continually be surprising you with new areas and new activities even after 100+ hours of gameplay, this game is for you. This game truly perfects instilling a sense of adventure, exploration, and wonder into the open-world genre. Never has there existed an open-world game that gives as much freedom as this one. This game is reason enough to buy a Switch. If you own a Switch already but not this game, do yourself a favor and buy it. It is truly one of the best games of all time.

Purchase the game after completing MARIO Odyssey, this game is amazing. I have always love Zelda games only reason why I always end up picking up a Nintendo console. This game doesn’t disappoints, beautiful visual, puzzle can get a bit challenging until then you realize the answer was in front of you the whole time lol. Love the game so far exploring every bit of the map before in the area before moving forward and unlocking a different section of a map. So many items, and things to look for which make the game that much more fun. Lots of play time, been playing the game about 2 hours a day travel time between work and also another 45 minutes when I get home. If you own a switch this is a must have title. 10/10
