This game has exceeded my every expectation. I was not a huge fan of Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword so I was worried that this would be more of the Same. I couldn't have been more wrong. The sense of exploration is amazing. And it's not just an empty world, there are things to collect and discover along the way. I can't recommend this game enough!

This is an excellent game. The gameplay mechanics are superb and the world is filled with more to see and do than we've ever seen in a Zelda game. It's true that this game does make a number of departures from the Zelda franchise that disappointed me...Breakable weapons, in particular, are a frustrating addition. But the game is excellent overall.

The legend of zelda a does not leave you dissapointed the game keeps you wondering and interested in the story right from the start. There is no shortage of places to explore enemy to kill and treasures to find. The map is HUGE and yet it oozes rich content from coast to coast.

Breath of the Wild is by far one of the best games I have ever played, with beautiful art, amazing music, and a stunning world with so much to explore you could spend hours in just one town and keep discovering new aspects of it. Combining direct combat, strategy and puzzles, this game has a balance which can suit numerous gaming styles.

I really like this game, and can easily recommend it to others. I know many other games go over its strengths such as the graphics, open word exploration, call back to the earliest title, and more. And, while I agree with most of the praise, I do not care for how it asks for so much patience from the gamer. Whether it is traveling on foot to a land far away, searching for a really well hidden shrine, cooking food on dish at a time, or painfully, slowly climbing up mountains (Just to be knocked off half way up by rain), this game demands quite a bit of patience on your part. While not a deal breaker, this type of stuff stresses me out, rather than relaxing me or challenging me in meaningful way. Still,it is fun and you should not miss this if you own a Switch.

Have poured in 200 hours plus and still haven’t found everything. Such a massive game with incredible mechanics. My only complaints, if there needed to be any, were that the dungeons and shrines were so repetitive and the weapons were not legendary and fragile as toothpicks. And where is my hook shot?!?

TLDR Buy the game and get a battery backup if you plan to play the game on the go. I really enjoy this game. It is different than any previous Zelda game and at first I was hesitant. As time went on I really began to enjoy the game and starting becoming immersed in the world. After an hour or so through the tutorial area you are given free reign to go wherever you want. As time went on I began to really enjoy the world and going around doing things. As a fan of Zelda from the classic NES days I can say that this is a great change for the series. It takes a few hours, but after that time you begin to find yourself wanting to try out new things and do things previously you never could in old Zelda games. This game has lots of item you can invest in it and I really enjoy it. The only things about the game that is frustrating has to do with the switch itself. I found myself not quite used to the two trigger buttons and had to get used to them with my sausage fingers. The other is that this game sucks the living life out of the switch. Even plugged into a portable battery the game slowly dies. I play this game when I fly for my job and have to plug it in the battery ASAP so it drains the battery slower.

This is the best Zelda game so far. Nintendo out did themselves with this one. The gameplay and graphics are beautiful. You will have hours of fun exploring the huge open world, doing quests and capturing over 100 shrines. The hardest part about this game is putting down the controller. I spent 10 hours straight playing this on my last day off.

This is Nintendo's stab (pun intended) at an open world game. You can do pretty much anything you want, go anywhere you want, and use any tools you have at your disposal to explore the world. The world is the main character of the game. There is something to discover in every nook and cranny. This game will occupy you for many hours.

As with most Zelda games this one is fantastic. While the plot doesn't change drastically from the other games, the freedom in the game makes it seem so much more expansive. You can easily spend a majority of your time going around exploring the huge map of Hyrule searching for secrets rather than going through the main story line.

Love Legend of Zelda and this is a great game to add to the collection. Great open world. Lots to explore. Wish it had standard dungeons like the past games. Cant wait for Tears of the Kingdom next year.

I had never played a Zelda game, but I heard lots of great things about Breath of the Wild so I bought it when I got my Switch (with MK8, of course). This game's open world is totally immersive, the story is engaging, and the game mechanics are ever-evolving to enhanced abilities. It's hands down one of the best games I've played in a long while.

Every review you have ever read about this game is true. From the graphics to the music to the storyline this game is an unbelievable experience. There is exploration, puzzle solving, melee and ranged combat, overwhelming odds to overcome, and a whole new style of dungeon. Truly deserving of the term "Masterpiece". I love that there is finally an open world Zelda game! This game is fantastic. One thing I missed was the overall Zelda feeling of the game, though. There are no heart pieces to obtain, are no real dungeons to fight, etc. Very strange to have to cook food to regain hearts and having weapons that break. Overall, though, I really did enjoy the game.

I had high hopes for this game, and even I didn't expect it to be this good. The world is huge, there's plenty to do and even after the main story is over I find myself running around the world just experimenting and finding new things all the time. I absolutely love this game, and the ability to take it with you anywhere on the Switch is amazing.

Still in the process of finishing it but it is easily one of the greatest zelda games ever made. I would argue that it is better than even ocarina of time and link to the past. THE HYPE IS REAL!!!! Everything about this game is amazing. From the graphics to the game play, everything about this game is good. THE STORY!!! PHENOMENAL!

I'm going to be honest here, i have never been a fan of zelda. I have owned basically every nintendo system including handhelds since i could walk lol. I know zelda is a big deal for nintendo and over the years i have bought a few zelda games here and there to try and get into the series but it just never clicked. Fast forward to now breath of the wild comes out, all the hype and talk about how great the game is oh it's game of the year and all that, so I'm like okay let's give it another shot. I must say i am very impressed so far (30 hours in) it goes to show you that the best graphics don't make a game, the story and world and little attention to detail just blew me away. I'm not gonna go into too much detail about the game (that would take forever lol) but this game has made me like zelda alot more. I have already had more than my money's worth with this game, a must have for switch owners.

OPEN WORLD ZELDA. This is not a drill! I can finally run around and explore the amazing world of Zelda without quest-y guidelines holding me back. This game is amazingly beautiful and fun to play. It reminds me of a much more cartoony Skyrim (fewer dragons, but waaaaay more guardians who shoot laser beams of instant death at your face). 10/10!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is such a huge game that I've barely scratched the surface, but even in the early hours the game offers so much to explore. I've spent hours enjoying climbing trees, catching fish, cooking dishes, and the like... Just inhabiting the world is so much fun, to say nothing of the surprises and enemy encounters.
