First Zelda game in the last decade that doesn't feel like the developers were working from a checklist of things to include. I highly recommended playing this.

Lots of fun, story follows on legend of Zelda: age of calamity. There’s also DLC content for even more gameplay.

The game is truly amazing! Graphics are great, story line is good and it's fun. Some of the new game mechanics though make it much more difficult than previous Zelda games, and may be frustrating for younger gamers

I'm back as an Nintendo customer with the new Switch and Zelda. The open-world free roam play style is excellent. The controls are also great and the amount of things to do, fight, explore, and discover is fantastic.

This is my first time playing a Zelda game and I am love love loving it so far. The open world is beautiful, the fighting and gliding mechanics are stellar, and the puzzles are fun to solve in numerous ways!

Im 37 so I grew up on the original Zelda for NES. Ocarina of Time was always my favorite, but Breath of the Wild is now my favorite. So much to do and its huge!. Nintendo just changed the open world gaming forever.

It won the game of the year award. Hard to beat that, both the boys I have loved it. Huge open world, offline, perfect for on the go. Many hours of game play. Not a game they play once and never play again.

The Legend of Zelda is now open world and uses lots of conventions from current gen open world games. It's a blast, and there's a ton to do and discover in this game. It's the must buy game for the Switch, for sure.

This game is a lot of fun! There are so many things to do, and so many different ways to do them, that you can easily lose hundreds of hours in this game world.

This the evolution that true Zelda fans have been waiting for. Nintendo has taken the open-world formula and applied a level of design and artistry to every single game mechanic that you rarely seen in video games.

What is there that hasn't been said in praise for this game? Not much. I love its open world, non-linear story, the ability to harvest and cook, and beautiful scenery. Horses are a blast to tame and ride.

I already owned this on Wii U but I finally got a Switch and had to get this game for it too. I am a huge Zelda fan and I also love open world RPG's. This game is a nice blend of the two but does seem to be lacking a bit on the typical Zelda aspects that I loved such as puzzle solving. There are a ton of shrines and while they are puzzle based the puzzles tend to be either one thing you just repeat each time or sometimes timing based so they're not that challenging but sometimes just more annoying. The rain is also pretty annoying but that's another story. Overall I think the game is fantastic and I hope they keep this format and improve on it for the future but I also hope they still produce a few fun overhead games still.

So me being a binge spender(yes I know I have a problem) I went out and searched for a Nintendo switch just to play this game. So after about two weeks of searching high and low, far and wide I finally got my hands on one. I of course purchased Zelda Botw with it because that's one of the main reasons I bought it. Playing Zelda ocarina of time as a child had high hopes of this game. They managed to keep zeldas original style game with open concept! This game has earned every rating it's got. I am not a big fan of paying extra for DLC but if the DLC is half as good as the original game, I'll be happy. I have played this game a good amount and still haven't beaten it. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Zelda games. Worth every penny

I bought this for our 9 year old son and he loves it. He has played through the game, in it's entirety, 2 times now. I have watched him playing it many times, and it really is a great game. Definitely a departure from other Zelda games of the past as this one is a more open world adventure. But, there is a reason why this game consistently rates as one of the best games around, on any system. As a dad, I like that there's nothing in the game that is overly violent or that I would consider inappropriate for kids. I would highly recommend this game. You really can't go wrong.

There is a reason that this was named game of the year. True free world gameplay. Climb anything. Go anywhere. It's breathtaking in its scope. I don't know if a better game exists for the switch.

This game I have been waiting to play for a long time and it has not disappointed me at all one bit. The hours of gameplay and the open world is just phenomenal.

I don't need Gamespot to tell me that this game is the best of the year, or possibly one of the best open world experiences I've ever been a part of, but if you like the Zelda series and open world, this is a masterpiece of gaming. I won't go into everything in the game itself, but let's just say that I'm on my third play through and still finding stuff to do. It's a huge game with tons to accomplish - to the point where you'll find a half dozen things to keep you busy while in the middle of a side quest. It's that chock-full of adventure! If you're not into side quests, collecting items, etc. and just stick to the bare-bones story, you'll still put in upwards of 40 hours (if you're not using a walk-through).

Best ever. Only complaints are that I wish some weapons didn't break and that they went for less cartoony graphics. Otherwise amazing. Though it gets points for basically looking like a playable studio ghibli film.

I bought this for my son, 6, who loves it. He is a little young for it, he plays it with guidance (ie advice from me and friends) but the game is beautiful to look at and a huge world to explore.

Beautiful graphics, easy to play, tons of puzzles, and memorable characters, it gives you at least over a hundred hours of gameplay exploring the beautiful world of Hyrule, all with the good quality from Nintendo
