I always fall in love with the Legend of Zelda games and this one is no exception. I highly recommend it. Open world, lots to do, fun stuff, exploring, loot, puzzles, and some challenge too. It's great.

Game looks great and has many of hours of play. Story line is detailed. Map is huge and there are lots of areas to explore. Some areas are a bit hard as the controls are not the greatest for some of the challenges.

Ex cells at everything it does, with an amazing open world full of life and activity. The story is nicely put together so long as you make it a priority. Rain and Lightning are the only things to fear in this new Hyrule.

Purchase the game after completing MARIO Odyssey, this game is amazing. I have always love Zelda games only reason why I always end up picking up a Nintendo console.
This game doesn’t disappoints, beautiful visual, puzzle can get a bit challenging until then you realize the answer was in front of you the whole time lol. Love the game so far exploring every bit of the map before in the area before moving forward and unlocking a different section of a map. So many items, and things to look for which make the game that much more fun. Lots of play time, been playing the game about 2 hours a day travel time between work and also another 45 minutes when I get home.
If you own a switch this is a must have title. 10/10

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an incredible game that will be talked about and reflected upon for generations to come. It's that good.
The world is vast, the art style is beautiful, and the story is intriguing. If you want a game that will continually be surprising you with new areas and new activities even after 100+ hours of gameplay, this game is for you. This game truly perfects instilling a sense of adventure, exploration, and wonder into the open-world genre. Never has there existed an open-world game that gives as much freedom as this one.
This game is reason enough to buy a Switch. If you own a Switch already but not this game, do yourself a favor and buy it. It is truly one of the best games of all time.

Breath of the Wild is one of the best open world games I've played. While the story isn't anything spectacular, and the framerate occasionally dips heavily, they are minor nitpicks that don't take much if anything at all from the game. The world is incredibly large and the fact that you can stray off from the story and do your own thing with almost no restriction is something that sets it apart from most other open world games. There's an insane amount of content and in the process hundreds of hours can be put into this game. the fact that it's only $60 feels like a steal. In all, Breath of the Wild is one of the best games released in 2017 and the ability to take it on the go on the Nintendo Switch is icing on a fabulous cake.

Being able to play Zelda on-the-go with the Switch is great! The game itself hasn't pulled me in as I hoped it would. The open-world and exploration is fantastic. I find myself getting distracted too often to find out what is just a short distance away. Zelda on the Switch itself looks incredible. I don't care much for the weapon durability as it is irritating nor the inventory management. I would prefer button mapping options as I am used to using other default control layouts on other consoles.

This open world Zelda game is a fantastic leap forward in the series. Progression and exploration is fun and you can go almost anywhere. Combat is entertaining and the story keeps you interested.

To echo the world of game journalists, this game is a masterpiece. It is a fulfillment of thirty years of the Legend of Zelda franchise, and represents one of Nintendo's most perfectly executed games. On top of that, it represents one of the open-world genre's most successful efforts to date, as glitches are virtually nonexistent and the player is constantly engaged with intriguing, compelling sidequests and exploration. The difficulty is reasonably challenging, especially compared to more recent entries in the Zelda franchise, but falls short of the medium's recent emphasis on extremely high difficulty (Dark Souls, Nuclear Throne, etc.). In short, I would imagine almost any player enjoying himself or herself while playing Breath of the Wild.

This game is visually beautiful - one could spend days just exploring the scenery and listening to the calming music. Gameplay is simple to learn, and has a good challenge with the different enemy type.
Someof the few game mechanics I dislike is the durability system of weapons and shields and the fact that mounts don't fast travel with you. It has tons of content for you completionists and collectors!

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a respective masterpiece. People may waver to use a word that strong, and opinions may sway back and forth, but to any fan of Zelda, nay, any fan of Nintendo is sure to enjoy this game. It brings a new adventure that all other Zelda games have never fully brought: A fully open-world game, optional story aspects, and impressive combat mechanics that keep the game interesting. From cooking food, to taming horses, to scaling mountains in nothing but your shorts, this game is worthy of the title “Best game on Switch”. To anyone who enjoys gaming, purchase this game. It’s worth the money.

I waited a long time to get this game, I don’t know why. It is a massive open world and there is so much to do. You really will get your money’s worth here. This game is big enough to keep you busy for a while. It is excellent and a lot of fun so far. I was a teenager when I played Legend of Zelda on the NES and have played Zelda games throughout the years. It brings nostalgia back with new gameplay mechanics and story to expand the lore. I am happy with the purchase and have a whole lotta game to play for many hours to come.

BotW is no doubt the main reason to buy the Switch right away, even if it is also out on the Wii U. BotW still has a very zelda feel and traditional zelda story but it takes that and expands it into a massive open world. The thing is its a far different style of open world games than I was expecting. Its more so about just exploring and stumbling upon things than really heading forward in the story. I feel as if its hard to explain how different it is than say a GTA game or Horizon Zero Dawn. This game focus far more on how the world interacts with you(rain is a big factor) and how you can find different routes to get to places you may not want to really be at just yet. But you can be if you try.
The world and puzzles make the game insanely fun for me, including the weather. However Im not a fan of the weapon/damage system as I feel it jerks me out of the game having to switch to a new weapon. I do like that it makes you "try" others but still overall an issue for me.
The voice acting is alright but the choice of being VO only at certain areas vs the whole game is something else that seems to take me out of the experience, I understand this may not be the case for many tho.
I cant really knock the age old story that is Zelda but I must admit the story seems very lackluster overall for me, but at the same time it could have been far worse and I know others love this story telling.
Lastly the controls or going back to playing Nintendo games after playing so much Xbox/PS is something that caused plenty of deaths during my gameplay. Just not use to the main button not being on the bottom of the configuration. But this is a bit of a personal issue as well.
Overall I enjoyed the game, the world is amazing for being Nintendo as well as the idea that this is on a handheld device. That being said, I believe everyone should play the game themselves and find out if its truly amazing for you or not. Everyone has their own tastes.

I didn't read a whole lot going into this game, and I was pleasantly surprised with what I got! There are many changes to the Zelda formula here, yet for all of the changes, it's oddly familiar. Like the original for the NES, this Zelda lets you tackle bosses and areas as you choose in a sprawling open world (though, some areas may be more more difficult to tackle initially than others). The one big negative is the weapon degradation; this is a new feature to the franchise, and doesn't really add anything to the experience. Instead, you tend to hold on to your best weapons instead of getting to enjoy them over your journey, since they'll be destroyed after killing maybe 5 enemies. All in all, a great package and a very relaxing game.

I have been a Zelda series fan since the original was released in 1986 for the NES.
I love the feel of the open world and that there isn't any set order for the majority of the missions. There is so much to see and do throughout the world that before I know it, I am completely immersed in discovering little details hidden throughout the game. The visual styling in the game is excellent and there is no doubt in my mind as to why this won Game of the Year for 2017.
I highly recommend using a Pro Controller instead of the Joy-Cons on the switch. I find it much more comfortable for the marathon gaming sessions that I put into this game.
Definitely an incredible game that is a must own for any Switch owner!

Breath of the Wild is, by far, the most expansive of the Legend of Zelda games, with an open world available to you that rivals The Elder Scrolls games for the sheer size of the world you have to play in. For the first time, it feels like you are running around in a ruined kingdom, with pockets of life forging their way in this post apocalyptic world.
The graphics are beautiful, and I feel that Nintendo has managed to nail a visual style that is timeless. There are a few points where it does make identifying things tricky, but overall it is easy to tell what you are looking at, and where you need to go to get what.
The gameplay is also fun and intriguing. The different weapons require different play styles to get the most out of - and, with how often the weapons break, you'll need to learn them all to get the most out of the game.
However, it does have a few flaws. I won't discuss much about it, but I wasn't overly thrilled with the final fight against Ganon. I am not a fan of his overall character design in this game, and felt that he was a much more interesting villain in previous games in the series, particularly Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. However, the end of the fight is fun and interesting, so it is not an entirely bad end.
Finally, there were a few points where the game chugged when too much was going on at once. Things like taking on 4-5 enemies in the middle of a thunderstorm would lead to the game chugging a bit would bring it to it's knees, but never for more than a few seconds - enough to be noticeable, but not enough to detract from the game.
So, overall, this is truly a great game - but it falls just short of perfection. Perhaps with a few more years working with the Switch architecture will bring us a bigger and better game, but for the time being, this game certainly sets the bar high and makes me truly excited to see what the system can bring in the future. Final rating: 9/10.

Breath of the Wild is absolute freedom. The freedom to play however you want, at whatever pace you want. To explore without boundaries.
See something up a mountain? Climb it. You have all the tools to complete the game as soon as you leave the tutorial area. It's incredible how liberating that is.
The world is vast and sticks in your memory thanks to all the impressive, standout landmarks. The story is simple and kinda vague, but there is a collectible type that helps flesh it out more.
An absolute masterpiece of a Zelda game thanks to reinventing the formula. Don't expect dungeons and boss keys and the like. This is a new Zelda for a new generation - and it has never been better.

This iteration of Zelda is absolutely amazing. So much attention has been paid to detail. They've really made a living, breathing, game world. It can definitely be challenging, especially towards the beginning. There is a ton of content, and so far it has all be really great.
It is easy to get into even if you haven't picked up a Zelda game in a long time. You don't really need a lot of knowledge of the previous games.
No graphical issues. Frame rate is smooth, graphics are great. In fact, this is the best looking Zelda game to ever come out.
If you are looking to reprise the role of Link, or even jump into it for the first time, as he battles to destroy Ganon, don't hesitate to pick this up. This is really top notch.
