The last time I played Zelda was a several years ago, now playing on switch is just a great experience all around. Keeps me occupied with the story and challenges. Wish there was a little more tips on the go for a new(refresher) user.

Excellent game! Fans of Legend of Zelda will love this game! At first I was hesitant because of the open world aspect, and thought it was gonna be overwhelming but I was so wrong! There’s so much to do in the game and just makes you want to keep playing!

I’m not going to lie. I’ve owned this game since I bought my switch, but about a year ago, I sold it because I didn’t play it much at the time. Over the months, I grew to really miss the game. I realized I sold it prematurely and obsessed over gameplay videos for weeks until I finally caved in and bought it again. I really don’t regret buying it again even though I could have bought something I needed like a microSD card had I just waited to sell it. The fact of the matter is that I needed this game back in my life. When I first bought it, I would have said it was wildly overrated, and I do think it is somewhat over what overrated; however, I do have to say, it’s a really great game. I wouldn’t spoil it for anyone, but it takes mechanics from other games and just incorporates them in the Zelda universe. It’s basic enough, but it works. I would rate it 4.5/5, but I’ll go up to 5 stars over 4.

Zelda Breath of the Wild is a great games that is so much fun to play. With story mission, side missions, and memory quest you can easily make the story your own. There is no way to play wrong. Amiibo are super usefully in this game, even the non Zelda ones give you stuff.

For an actual open world Zelda game, really captures you. Plus, how the heck does Link cook like that, I mean really? It's very tough to get started with in the beginning, but I'm pretty sure it'll get better as you progress.

I have to admit that I didn't play Zelda on the Game Cube or the Nintendo 64, and if they had a version for the Wii I skipped it, but this one was fantastic. I broke down and bought the Switch solely for this game and let me tell you, I was not disappointed.
I personally believe Link 2 on the original Nintendo is still the best Zelda Game, but darn if this isn't right there with it. The graphics are obviously way above anything Nintendo ever released in the past, but the weapons and the challenging monsters makes the game a complete masterpiece.
I solved the game without completing all the side quests, that might be both a good and bad feature, but you can still go back and work on them from an earlier save. I will say it took me a long time to get through the Castle, that was a real challenge.
The fact I bought this on sale made the game an absolute steal! If you have never played Zelda or you are not sure if this will measure up with past Zeldas, trust me, it does!

So much fun and brings back memories for me having played the original “legend of Zelda”
I haven’t even played this. I watch my kids play it and have so much fun strategizing and exploring for the things they need to accomplish.

This is an open world Zelda game. I like the exploration elements. And it satisfies my hunter gathering instinct too. You can find ingredients to make food at a campfire for a health recharge. This type of gameplay is totally new to Zelda games. I did not like the fact that weapons break when you use them. I also did not like the lack of things to do in the open world( it was really spread out). The graphics are beautiful and the music is memorable too. This is a good game just not my favorite. You may like it if you like Zelda games and open world games too.

I put well over 100 hours into this game and loved every second of it. The exploration is awesome. The puzzles, combat, graphics, and controls are awesome. It is the best game I have ever played and at 68 years old I've played a bunch of games.

Breath of the Wild really brings back the open world exploration of old school Zelda. With hundreds of hours of gameplay and a beautiful sprawling open world, it's a great game to get lost in. If you're looking for something with more structure, it might not be the game for you, but for fans of open world games, this is a must have.

Great game. My 11 year daughter wanted this for her birthday. Big fan of open world and this game was very easy to get into. Controls are smooth and provides a great variety of things to do/accomplish in game. Looks great on the switch as well as on the TV

Amazeballs. My only gripe is that the switch does struggle to push 30fps at times and that can really make some busier fights difficult. But the game is a 10. It's gorgeous, imaginative, and seriously fun. Fights are exciting, and exploring is filled with wonder and astonishment. After playing 20 hours I'm still learning and discovering .

This game may leave you breathless with the open world environment. This game may take up a lot of your time, so beware. Compared to previous Zelda games, this one I rank at number 1. I have played many zelda titles, but none of them got me hooked as much as this one.

The best game I’ve ever played for all the years. It’s one of the most best seller and action games. The graphics are amazing and the story is very interesting.

Comparing games across genres is hard, but this is a game few people would argue may very well be the greatest video game ever made. It's like playing through a Miyazaki movie, only better. Everything in the game is fun, and everything looks amazing. You can easily put in a hundred hours or more and still feel like exploring the world.

Simply one of the best video games I've ever played in my life. I actually purchased a Switch after 6 years just to play BOTW. This adventure challenges you to think outside the box and encourages experimentation in ways that few other games do. The graphics look beautiful and the world is massive, with secrets at every turn. You can stall the main story as long as you want as you explore. Combat is supremely fun with varied weapons at your disposal, including bombs, arrows, spears, swords and even environmental effects. Easy to spend hours upon hours on this beautiful game!

This game is worth the price.
The story, the interactivity. You know you can use VR with this game?
If you have a switch you must have this game. Even my six year old girl loves this game and plays it. She doesn't play it to advance the story but loves to catch horses.

Breath of the wild is my first adventure into the Switch Universe, so far completely impressed. The story is awesome with plenty of side quest along with a great combat system. I thought my first complaint would by the fact that your weapons do break, but after playing for awhile it only adds to the strategy of the game.

This game is a piece of art. It has a huge open world that is easy and fun to get lost in. I have put 15 hrs into it and am probably only a quarter of the way through and have yet to be bored! Most of my play has been in handheld mode and it looks and feels great. It only looks better in 1080p on my tv. Worth the buy and play through!
