This is one of the best games of all time, hands down. The scale really surprised me. I have yet to see everything this game has to offer, that is how big this game is. Gameplay, story, level design, all great. Oh and the graphical style is also great.

Okay, the launch lineup is lacking but what better way to start off this console life with a Zelda game! BoTW is fun, open world and shows off what the Switch can do as a handheld and "traditional" console when docked. It plays great when using the Switch as a handheld. The game is fun and that's all that matters for me ...

I have always been so interested in the world and the characters of Legend of Zelda, but I never really connected with any of the games... until Breath of the Wild. This game takes all of the little things that added up to make me not want to invest my time or energy in old Zelda games and throws them out the window. (Link can jump now!) It takes all the old inconveniences of open world games and throws them out too. (You can climb any mountain, as long as you have enough stamina to get the job done.) All of this would be enough to make me fall in love, but then they went a little further and made the game beautiful. While not graphically "impressive," Breath of the wild still manages to be one of the prettiest games I have ever seen or played (and I imagine it will always be so.) I love this game and after 80+ hours I haven't even beaten the main story. There are far too many mountains to climb and areas to explore. If you have ever been interested in Zelda, buy this game!

This takes open world gaming to a new level! go wherever you want. Complete the game in any order you want. Hidden items and side quests galore. Some new enemies and lots or returning ones. Awesome graphics and sound. If you're a Zelda fan this game is the best ever by far! I'm not sure the next one will be able to top it.

Like Tears of the Kingdom, Breath of the Wild is an open world with lots of possibilities. The graphics are good. Would recommend this if you are a Legend of Zelda fan

This is not your typical Zelda game. It keeps a lot of the same patterns and tropes, but is much more open ended and explorative. In that way, it brings back many aspects of the first ever Zelda game. Or, think of Ocarina of Time crossed with Skyrim. I LOVE it, even if it's not the style I remember.

the game is amazing, the way everything works together and can interact together are absurd. its unlike other zelda games in that the solution to any puzzle or problem is only limited by your imagination you can do things however you like not just the way the game intends. i will say the game is pretty easy past a certain point and i wish there were larger dungeons but other then that (and the lack of actual fishing) i have no complaints. the game play, controls, story, items, abilities etc are all awesome and interact in logical realistic ways that you wouldn't expect. such as bomb arrows being useless in the rain (because the fuse goes out), but exploding instantly on death mountain due to the heat. if you have a switch and don't have this game your missing out. i can't wait for the dlc to come out as hard mode and additional content sounds amazing.

Before I purchased Zelda: Breath of the Wild, someone described it to me as 'beautiful'. I didn't understand how a video game can be beautiful until this became part of my game collection. A 3D world that encompasses everything in the world around us; mountains, streams, oceans, trees, horses, birds, insects - the list goes on. The content is so realistic that it makes me reflect on the amount of talented coding that went into this game. Add to that the puzzles to solve to win valuable 'orbs' so you can have the necessary tools you need in the many battles with monsters unimaginable. There is no pace - you choose. Sometimes I play just to enjoy the scenery. I can honestly say that I will not rush to beat the main evil force - Like a good book I don't want to scramble to finish, I don't want this game to end. Accolades to the game developers - you have truly created a masterpiece!

I've enjoyed this Zelda game more than any other I've played (was never able to finish Skyward Sword). It is a fresh breath of air for the open-world genre which has become an uninspired marketing term these days. No game has ever made me enjoy exploration as much as this one. This game will never stop surprising you.

Breath of the Wild is one of the best open world games I've ever played. Nintendo has nailed the sense of wonder and discovery, and I continue to discover new things that bring a smile to my face. I was already ready to buy a Switch, but this game solidifies that purchase and I look forward to future games on the system!

Easily one of the best Zelda games ever, the exploration and world building is better than any other game in the series, bar none. The only negligible problem would be weapon durability, but you're given an abundance of weapons to counter this problem.

Very enjoyable gameplay, lots of variety in things you can do. My only wish is that there was actual voicing for more of the dialog. I love the fact that you can go pretty much anywhere, as long as you have the stamina, and that there are multiple solutions to many of the problems you encounter.

This is an excellent game that exceeds previous Zelda games. The game play was developed very well, there are endless things to do. The game is also good for a variety of ages, as younger kids enjoy wandering around and older kids/adults enjoy the missions and puzzles.

Man, I don't even know where to start. 100+ hours in this game and I still haven't beat the main quest. Not because I can't or and trudging through the story... but because there's just so much to do and see in this game that I keep putting off doing the main stuff. I don't even think about it, I'm always discovering new things on my way to the next new thing. It's truly something wonderful.

I had been waiting to play this game ever since I played it at E3. It's rare that I really get into a big open wild RPG because I find they get tedious really quickly with repetitive cut scenes and fetch quests. This one though is doing it right. There are plenty of skills and abilities and lots of secrets to discover. The enemies are varied and their presentation so far has kept the gameplay unique and unexpected. The cooking and crafting is quick and fun to play around with. They also make it an essential skill to learn right off the bat with cold areas that require you to brew hot pepper meals to stay alive. I appreciate the importance of stamina in this game as well. You can climb anything you want but if you're going up a serious cliff you'd better prep stamina meals and look for a way up that will give you a place to stop and rest. The same goes for swimming. Currents are fast and dangerous. You can't just jump in and hold down the stick until you make it across. You can only swim for so long before you tire and that can be tricky with hidden monsters in the water and currents sweeping you away.

I'm a big Nintendo fan but not really as big of a Zelda fans as others. But I have to say this is definitely one of the best games ever. I have become sick of open world games but this really breathed new life into it and exploring this world is so much fun. The game is one of the most polished games I have ever played

This, along with Mario Odyssey, are must buys for any switch owner. The story, mythology and level of detail were impressive. Wish it never ended. Altho, there's plenty of side things/collectibles even after the game ends. On top of that, they released some good DLC w/ a new mode/difficulty level
