I have been a long time Zelda fan. This game changes everything! The open world gameplay and choose your own adventure quest style are addicting. Highly recommend to anyone interested in trying the game out.

I've sunk so many hours into this game. The open concept is super freeing, but I still feel like I'm working towards the ultimate goal of the game, to defeat Calamity Ganon. You can storm the castle almost as soon as you start the game, but I am delaying it as long as possible while I explorer every corner of Hyrule!

Gamer's Club Unlocked is a tremendous value; I saved 20% on top of the sales price of this game, which I had been wanting to play for a while. The breathtaking visuals for a Nintendo game along with an immensely deep story with seemingly infinite replayability makes this a tremendous option for any Switch owner.

I'm constantly impressed by the sense of exploration. It's definitely not a kids game, though. They could definitely watch someone older play, but the game itself can be quite difficult and offers very little "hand holding" for moment-to-moment gameplay.

I have always been so interested in the world and the characters of Legend of Zelda, but I never really connected with any of the games... until Breath of the Wild. This game takes all of the little things that added up to make me not want to invest my time or energy in old Zelda games and throws them out the window. (Link can jump now!) It takes all the old inconveniences of open world games and throws them out too. (You can climb any mountain, as long as you have enough stamina to get the job done.) All of this would be enough to make me fall in love, but then they went a little further and made the game beautiful. While not graphically "impressive," Breath of the wild still manages to be one of the prettiest games I have ever seen or played (and I imagine it will always be so.) I love this game and after 80+ hours I haven't even beaten the main story. There are far too many mountains to climb and areas to explore. If you have ever been interested in Zelda, buy this game!

Wow this is Zelda? I've not played a Zelda game since the GameCube Nintendo has not made something I've been excited for in a long time. The Switch changed that and then there's playing Zelda. Other than the weapons having a limit of hits before breaking this game is fantastic. The shading is great and there's voice acting.

Before I purchased Zelda: Breath of the Wild, someone described it to me as 'beautiful'. I didn't understand how a video game can be beautiful until this became part of my game collection. A 3D world that encompasses everything in the world around us; mountains, streams, oceans, trees, horses, birds, insects - the list goes on. The content is so realistic that it makes me reflect on the amount of talented coding that went into this game.
Add to that the puzzles to solve to win valuable 'orbs' so you can have the necessary tools you need in the many battles with monsters unimaginable. There is no pace - you choose. Sometimes I play just to enjoy the scenery.
I can honestly say that I will not rush to beat the main evil force - Like a good book I don't want to scramble to finish, I don't want this game to end.
Accolades to the game developers - you have truly created a masterpiece!

One of the best games I have ever played. This game proves you don’t need cutting edge graphics if the gameplay and story is awesome. Soundtrack is too-notch and characters are awesome. This game is very meditative with cool puzzles as well.

This is an excellent game that exceeds previous Zelda games. The game play was developed very well, there are endless things to do. The game is also good for a variety of ages, as younger kids enjoy wandering around and older kids/adults enjoy the missions and puzzles.

Okay, the launch lineup is lacking but what better way to start off this console life with a Zelda game! BoTW is fun, open world and shows off what the Switch can do as a handheld and "traditional" console when docked. It plays great when using the Switch as a handheld. The game is fun and that's all that matters for me ...

The visuals and the atmosphere are unparalleled. The open world approach frees it up from some of the constraints that have frustrated me in previous Zelda games. It's fun. It's not without its flaws, but those are tolerable. Just a great game.

This takes open world gaming to a new level! go wherever you want. Complete the game in any order you want. Hidden items and side quests galore. Some new enemies and lots or returning ones. Awesome graphics and sound. If you're a Zelda fan this game is the best ever by far! I'm not sure the next one will be able to top it.

This is not your typical Zelda game.
It keeps a lot of the same patterns and tropes, but is much more open ended and explorative. In that way, it brings back many aspects of the first ever Zelda game.
Or, think of Ocarina of Time crossed with Skyrim.
I LOVE it, even if it's not the style I remember.

Very enjoyable gameplay, lots of variety in things you can do. My only wish is that there was actual voicing for more of the dialog. I love the fact that you can go pretty much anywhere, as long as you have the stamina, and that there are multiple solutions to many of the problems you encounter.

the game is amazing, the way everything works together and can interact together are absurd. its unlike other zelda games in that the solution to any puzzle or problem is only limited by your imagination you can do things however you like not just the way the game intends.
i will say the game is pretty easy past a certain point and i wish there were larger dungeons but other then that (and the lack of actual fishing) i have no complaints. the game play, controls, story, items, abilities etc are all awesome and interact in logical realistic ways that you wouldn't expect. such as bomb arrows being useless in the rain (because the fuse goes out), but exploding instantly on death mountain due to the heat.
if you have a switch and don't have this game your missing out. i can't wait for the dlc to come out as hard mode and additional content sounds amazing.

I've enjoyed this Zelda game more than any other I've played (was never able to finish Skyward Sword). It is a fresh breath of air for the open-world genre which has become an uninspired marketing term these days.
No game has ever made me enjoy exploration as much as this one. This game will never stop surprising you.

This, along with Mario Odyssey, are must buys for any switch owner.
The story, mythology and level of detail were impressive.
Wish it never ended. Altho, there's plenty of side things/collectibles even after the game ends. On top of that, they released some good DLC w/ a new mode/difficulty level

Breath of the Wild is one of the best open world games I've ever played. Nintendo has nailed the sense of wonder and discovery, and I continue to discover new things that bring a smile to my face. I was already ready to buy a Switch, but this game solidifies that purchase and I look forward to future games on the system!
