If you like explore a huge open world, this is defintely one you should play. Combat is a bit simplistic and there are some limitations to your abilities in terms of a stamina meter and weapon durablility but is overall defintely one of the greats

The Zelda franchise is my favorite. I love the wide open nature of the game, roaming from region to region, undertaking quests, and side quests, fighting diverse monsters, puzzling over strategies to achieve your goals. Graphics are great, Link is better than ever. Endless fun.

This is a great open world Zelda game that I have spent over a hundred hours on. I could get lost in the game just from exploring the beautiful environments and secrets that are hidden within the lush world of Hyrule. Can't wait for the sequel to come out!

Excellent game that's as good as the classics. Although there is a story line, there's a wide open world to explore and conquer. Gameplay controls are solid. There are challenging puzzles and the combat is not that hard for novices. Great game!

This is an amazing game. If you love the Zelda series this game will exceed your expectations. I love how they have added hunting for food and cooking how you replenish hearts. It has great puzzles and an exciting story line. You will not be disappointed.

Loving how many different ways there are to play this game. You're rewarded well for using all your abilities, and every item you pick up has a use...cooking, upgrading gear, quests... it's great fun, too. Loving the beautiful art and story

Genuinely one of my favorite Zelda titles of all time. There isn't much to talk about here. The graphics are great, the amount of freedom to simply explore and take in the scenery is liberating, and the characters are memorable.

My first experience playing Zelda was on the Nintendo 64 with Ocarina of time. For any real Zelda fan this is a must buy. For any adventure game fan this is also a must buy. Breath of the Wild is one of those very few games in the past couple of years that has really tried to innovate it's games design and in doing so created a very fun and enjoyable game that tells a very fresh tale about Link in a vast open world game. This is a living and breathing world you explore battling a large number of interesting enemies and picking up upgrades for Link aswell as new weapons to keep the combat interesting. The game alone is stunning and for a console that is able to be played in handheld mode your going to be putting ALOT of hours in to this one. Do yourself a favour and pick up the absolute marvel of an experience you will not be disappointed.

I purchased the Switch Digital Download version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I prefer to have all of my games downloaded onto a microSD card rather than needing to purchase the game cartridge and needing to carry that around with this portable system/home console hybrid.
I could have bought the digital download via Nintendo's eShop, but this way I receive rewards points by purchasing it trough Best Buy. The process is simple: after you purchase the digital version, Best Buy e-mails you with a 16-digit code, which is what you input into the Switch eShop under the "Enter Code" option. The game downloads immediately once you have successfully entered the code. It is a 13+ GB download, so depending on your internet connection, it will take awhile, but the game is worth it!
I've only had the game for a day, but I can say this game is a must have, especially for Zelda fans! It is a well crafted game, the mechanics work well, and now you can take an HD Zelda title on the go! The world is huge, so I know it will take me quite a while to explore everything!

This is the best zelda game by far. The open world is huge and you can pretty much do anything. If you want to climb that mountain you can, if you want to cook you can. The weapons now has durability and if you use it too much it will break. Plus the switch is a amazing console, I can play zelda wherever I go.

This is really one of the greatest Zelda games ever. The open world is huge and gives you lots of challenges. You'll probably be spending months, even years playing this game. The joy-cons positioning really helps make the controls in the game fluent and easy to use. This is a must for any fan of Nintendo.

Forget everything you know about about Zelda games. Okay, maybe not everything. You still have your dungeons, familiar enemies, horseback riding, but it's now in a rich open world for you to explore at your leisure. You have a crafting system as well as breakable weapons and shields (for better or for worse).

The depth of this game is staggering! This has the feel of Zelda's of yore, but instead of one or two weapons, there are HUNDREDS. The control mechanism is easy to pickup and the puzzles are different. Just started playing and already I can see why everyone liked this game! LINK CAN FINALLY JUMP!

The game takes place in a world that is bigger than any video game I have ever seen, the puzzles are challenging, and the graphics are very detailed. My only gripe is that many of the battles are way too difficult for a casual gamer. To finish this game you will need a lot of patience and trigger skills.

Going into this game, I had heard that BotW was a game changer. To be perfectly honest, Zelda was in need of something refreshing because every console Zelda game has followed the exact same structure as Link to the Past. Not that it's a bad game to build a basis off of, but the tried and tried to formula was getting a bit stale. My first Zelda game was AoL and while many don't consider it a good Zelda game, I thought it was great because of what I learned after playing the original, is that it's just you with your sword, shield and your willingness to explore. The more I put into it, the more I got out of it. I get that same sense out of this game that I did out of those original games. There is no hand holding, very little map to look at, it's just you and your willingness to explore. If you are a long time Zelda fan and have not tried this game yet, you should because it will bring back so many memories of those originals that you will lose yourself in it. Highly recommended!

In my opinion, the most satisfying Zelda game to date. Combines all the usual excellent features of Zelda with rpg elements and a massive open world. It's Zelda meets Skyrim meets Fable with a vaguely Dark Souls 3-esque feel at times. Beautifully done, with so much to do, solve, climb, conquer and discover.
Amazing experience, true choose your own adventure

I probably have somewhere around 20 or 30 hours in this game, but I have barely scratched the surface of the story. There is so much to explore and experience that it is easy to get lost in your own rabbit hole rather than the story set out for you. Luckily, the game still shines when you're just exploring.
