This game is pretty awesome. I do think that all this “Greatest game ever” nonsense needs to stop though. I would say that it is the best of the Zelda series, it could possibly be the “game of this current console generation”, or even could be the game of the 2010 to 2020 decade. I will say that I think it is a masterpiece. It offers an experience like no other. It has a wow and fun factor that needs to be played, rather than me telling you. LOZBOFW offers amazing gameplay, controls well, dynamic atmosphere, and smart combat and sneaking mechanics. Even though the N. Switch isn’t a powerhouse, Nintendo found a way to make this game look gorgeous. This a game that just set the standard on which all open world adventure games will be judged.

First Zelda game in the last decade that doesn't feel like the developers were working from a checklist of things to include. I highly recommended playing this.

Wonderful game with tons to do and excellent replayability.

The game is truly amazing! Graphics are great, story line is good and it's fun. Some of the new game mechanics though make it much more difficult than previous Zelda games, and may be frustrating for younger gamers

I'm back as an Nintendo customer with the new Switch and Zelda. The open-world free roam play style is excellent. The controls are also great and the amount of things to do, fight, explore, and discover is fantastic.

This is my first time playing a Zelda game and I am love love loving it so far. The open world is beautiful, the fighting and gliding mechanics are stellar, and the puzzles are fun to solve in numerous ways!

Perfect gaming experience, love every minute of it

My kid absolutely loves this game! Every weekend, he only gets a couple of hours of game time, and he spends it playing this game. Amazing graphics, even on the original Switch.

It won the game of the year award. Hard to beat that, both the boys I have loved it. Huge open world, offline, perfect for on the go. Many hours of game play. Not a game they play once and never play again.

Im 37 so I grew up on the original Zelda for NES. Ocarina of Time was always my favorite, but Breath of the Wild is now my favorite. So much to do and its huge!. Nintendo just changed the open world gaming forever.

The Legend of Zelda is now open world and uses lots of conventions from current gen open world games. It's a blast, and there's a ton to do and discover in this game. It's the must buy game for the Switch, for sure.

This game is a lot of fun! There are so many things to do, and so many different ways to do them, that you can easily lose hundreds of hours in this game world.

I bought this for our 9 year old son and he loves it. He has played through the game, in it's entirety, 2 times now. I have watched him playing it many times, and it really is a great game. Definitely a departure from other Zelda games of the past as this one is a more open world adventure. But, there is a reason why this game consistently rates as one of the best games around, on any system. As a dad, I like that there's nothing in the game that is overly violent or that I would consider inappropriate for kids. I would highly recommend this game. You really can't go wrong.

This the evolution that true Zelda fans have been waiting for. Nintendo has taken the open-world formula and applied a level of design and artistry to every single game mechanic that you rarely seen in video games.

What is there that hasn't been said in praise for this game? Not much. I love its open world, non-linear story, the ability to harvest and cook, and beautiful scenery. Horses are a blast to tame and ride.

Great game, my grandson loves the game and was excited to get it for his 14th birthday. His dad and grandfather enjoy playing this game. It is very entertaining for all ages. I highly recommend this game. You will not be disappointed. The graphics are amazing and it is fun to play for hours on end.

This game I have been waiting to play for a long time and it has not disappointed me at all one bit. The hours of gameplay and the open world is just phenomenal.

I already owned this on Wii U but I finally got a Switch and had to get this game for it too. I am a huge Zelda fan and I also love open world RPG's. This game is a nice blend of the two but does seem to be lacking a bit on the typical Zelda aspects that I loved such as puzzle solving. There are a ton of shrines and while they are puzzle based the puzzles tend to be either one thing you just repeat each time or sometimes timing based so they're not that challenging but sometimes just more annoying. The rain is also pretty annoying but that's another story. Overall I think the game is fantastic and I hope they keep this format and improve on it for the future but I also hope they still produce a few fun overhead games still.

So me being a binge spender(yes I know I have a problem) I went out and searched for a Nintendo switch just to play this game. So after about two weeks of searching high and low, far and wide I finally got my hands on one. I of course purchased Zelda Botw with it because that's one of the main reasons I bought it. Playing Zelda ocarina of time as a child had high hopes of this game. They managed to keep zeldas original style game with open concept! This game has earned every rating it's got. I am not a big fan of paying extra for DLC but if the DLC is half as good as the original game, I'll be happy. I have played this game a good amount and still haven't beaten it. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Zelda games. Worth every penny
