I've played the Zelda series since it was first released on the NES and I have to say that Breath of the Wild may very well be the pinnacle of Zelda releases. The amount of detail in the game from the monster AI to the sheer vastness of the landscape is truly phenomenal! The gameplay shines in both the ease of play and the sheer joy of the action. I can't say I was thrilled with the need to constantly find weapons, but it made the game challenging. There is still so much more I have to do even after beating the game, so there is a lot of replay value. This is definitely a title worth picking up!

What else can be said about this one? I feel it is one of the all-time great video games and is certainly the best Legend of Zelda game ever. Yes, I know Ocarina of Time is great but this one just feels like an epic. Maybe it is the new system smell or whatnot but I have not lost myself in a game in years like I did with this one. I felt like a little kid exploring the land and making discoveries. Its no wonder that they sold more Breath of the Wild games for Switch than actual Switch systems, I know a few people who bought the game and still haven't found the system. They will not be disappointed either!

I really enjoyed this game, there is so much to do in this game and it really distinguishes itself from other open-world games. One of the best game ever made! Love it!

This game is amazing however it is NOT easy. It is not an easy game to get used to the controls are hard at first but once you get used to them the game is a blast.

It's not only one of the best Legend of Zelda games around, it's the best Switch game. A story that seems familiar with a lot of innovations for a Zelda game.

This is an amazing game! I love the open world interaction of the game and the portability on the switch can’t be beat. I really enjoy all the side quests they have along with the main objective too. The graphics aren’t the most defined I’ve seen, but gameplay makes up for that. I just need another switch so I don’t have to share with my kids! ;P

Where do I even start?
I've played about 10 hours of this game so far and I'm pretty sure I can go for 90 more hours and not notice the time pass.
I'll start though by saying that if you don't like open world games, you probably won't like this either. It's got great structure to it, but it doesn't ever pretend like it's a game "on rails" like Call of Duty. You very much choose your own adventure.
I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say that the mechanics are fun, the learning curve is easy, and it looks great. If you're looking for a game to play for the next few months, this is for you.

What an amazing entry in the series. The open world is vast and you will spend hundreds of hours exploring the world. The gameplay is very responsive and rewarding.

If you are looking for a long, open world action/adventure game, this one is right up there with the best of them and is the best in some regards. The way your character, Link, can move and climb in the world is truly freeing and feels like you can get almost anywhere if you really try. The level of detail that went into how the different objects in the world interact is pretty incredible as well. The story is weak, but that is nothing new for Zelda games and the lack of spoken dialogue for all but a few instances makes it feel a bit outdated at times, but the game is definitely worth buying and playing.

I already beat the Wii U version of the game last year or the year before, but I decided to purchase the Switch version now that I finally got a Switch. I still have a long way to go before I beat this version, but so far I think I can safely say it's better than the Wii U version. There's a special Switch shirt you can get in this version, and the textures in this version seem slightly better. The loading times seem a little bit faster as well. Overall, both versions of the game are great.

Excellent game so far. Seems like more open world exploration than dungeon puzzles but hoping it'll get more complex later in the game like traditional Zelda games.

Absolutely addicting game. If playing on switch it is a little hard to get used to controls but afterwards it's Ana amazing game with a beautiful story line and plot.

Breath of the wild is like Skyrim and Zelda had a baby. It's fun, there's so much to discover and do. I literally play for hours and still haven't gotten bored yet!

It is the best game in the past decade, and there are never too many words to praise the game. However, it is worth noticing that the standard edition is NOT a complete game at all. The so-called "DLC" is in fact the content separated from a complete game and sell twice. For those who want a full game experience and stick to physical editions, please buy the JP version cartridge with DLCs included from PlayAsis or Amazon.
