You don't have to know any previous Zelda games. One of the best open world game ever, you'll get your money's worth (have put over 40 hours in and still going).

This game takes the classic elements of older Legend of Zelda games and adds new ones to them. The world is huge - like bigger than most other Zelda games put together. If you're a completionist, there are literally hundreds of hours you can pour into this game. The unique aspects of the game are great, but it also abandons some older aspects of the games that really worked. The game is very open, but this means less progression like you had in older games. You used to get specific weapons that helped you progress through the story, but now you can simply go wherever you want as long as you have the ability to take on the enemies.

This game is fantastic. The graphics look amazing on both the handheld and on your television. The open world allows many hours for exploration. A great addition for any Zelda fan.

Besides being one of the most beautiful games, BotW is full of exciting dungeons and so much to do it's mind blowing. This game takes open world to a whole new level. A must buy.

Hands down the greatest game of all time and has one of the highest Metacritic ratings of all time. The physics in this game and the things you can do with them are second to none. Even Horizon Forbidden West on my PS5 won't let me climb anywhere, or any of the other numerous things you can do in this game. This game came out in 2017, and people are still doing crazy new things.

Over all, a good game to play to look at beautiful views as well as a lot of exploration,especially if you have the expansion pass.

This might be the best game in the world at the moment. This was the perfect balance of Action + RPG and the story was just beautiful. At first, I was unsure about the graphics, but I fell in love with them after a while. Everything was very well done. This is a quality game. The only part of the game that I thought could have been better was the crafting. I beat the game with all sorts of items in my bag, and in copious amounts, that were pretty much useless. The game could have used a more robust crafting/bartering system that made beating enemies and collecting loot more worthwhile. Other than that, high marks across the board.

Fun Zelda game which starts off a little slow but picks up as the story progresses. The enemies are a little more difficult than what you’d expect at the beginning of the game but luckily you can outrun them until you level up enough to brush them aside.

While the style of the game may be alienating to long time fans of the series. The overall game play and story is a welcomed addition to the Zelda franchise

Breath of the Wild is the long-awaited addition to the Legend of Zelda series. The game is gorgeous, boasts a robust world with plenty to do, and has a very fun and fulfilling combat system. This game is pretty hard, and does very little handholding. As an adult gamer, this change felt nice to the Zelda formula. However, there are things typically found in a Zelda game that are missing here, and it makes a big difference to me.

This game is truly worth all the hype. I love the open world mixed with battles, puzzles, and exploration of a whole new world.

An instant classic, BotW borrows a lot of ideas from other open world games but then refines them to an incredible degree. You'll never get tired of exploring Hyrule.

This is a great game, and buy this version on sale, and then buy the upgrade to the Switch 2 version later, and save some money.

The graphics on this game are breathtaking. While the shrine puzzles can get tedious, the combat is fun and the story is phenomenal. A great game overall.

I can't stress enough how truely amazing this game is. I have always enjoyed the Zelda franchise but after using the same formula for so many years, the games started feeling like a repeat. This games takes everything you know about Zelda and turns it upside down. It's a gorgeous game with and insanely huge landscape to explore. It's engaging, fun and even emotional at times. It's also more difficult than Zelda games in the past. You'll definitely spend a lot of time with this game and get your money's worth.

Love the open world concept. Graphics are beautiful. Can taylor your game play based of time you have to play, explore, go for a boss fight or just go catch a new horse.
