The scope of the game is massive and the world that has been built is really incredible. The amount to do is endless and the story part of the game is challenging but fun.

The first game I purchased with my switch and after sinking over 100 hours into it I'm still enjoying it. As a long time xbox gamer and fan of bethesda I can most easily compare it to skyrim or oblivion as it is an open world rpg, but I feel it wins out in almost every catagory. Trust me that's a lot to say as Oblivion is one of my all time favorite games, especially from a nostalgia perspective. Zelda Breath of the Wild nails all the components of a great open world rpg yet doesn't feel like it's been done before.

I own many games on the PS4, but this year I decided to get the Nintendo Switch. From all the recommendations across the internet, I decided to buy Breath of the Wild. This is my first Zelda game, and it did not disappoint. The game is a huge open world experience, with a multiple ways to play. From solving puzzles in the Shrines, to hunting chicken/boar, to farming goons for weapons, and use bombs to fish: there is always something for you to do. This isn't a game for kids, as it requires some thinking, but can be a great present for teens and up who own a Switch. Definitely recommend.

I've been a fan of the 'Zelda' games since the NES. I played the original game at a neighbor's house before I got my very own NES as a kid, and was immediately hooked. I've loved every game, and over the years, have definitely found myself more of a fan of the 'Ocarina of Time'-styled games in the series. This game takes hints and cues from all of the games in many ways, and nods to some of the lesser storylines in previous efforts. It's HUGE, a lot of fun, and can keep you busy for many hours. If you've ever played a Zelda game - and liked it - just buy this. Don't even think twice about it. It's a must-own!

Wow, Zelda BOTW is just an amazin game. The mechanics is great. There is so much freedom of what you can do in the game. Gliding, swiming, sailing, climbing or even "surfing" in dessert. You can also cook and make your own dishes. The main story line is very interesting and keeps you playing. And there are endless side quest that you can enjoy. There are so many shrines each with witty puzzles which is either too trivial or too difficult. Compared to previous zelda games' dungeon, I prefer these shrines much better , they are like puzzles in bite size. Main quest and side quests can be switched anytime you want and the destinations are mostly marked, So you don't feel lost, not knowing where to you. YOu still need to do some searching, but it's mostly directed. The graphics style is work very well on switch. It looks very nice and yet quite smooth despite Switch's limited graphical power. The game is partly voice acted. Most cutscenes have great voiceovers. Sound effects are excellent. It doesn't have background music all the time, but when there is background music, you know that you have reached certain milestone and the music and sound effects are excellent. It's many games into one. There are the RPG , hit and slash, fighting, puzzles elements etc. The game has so much depth to it. What you where can affect your body temperature. And what you cook and eat can affeect your stamina and health. The world is huge and there is so much to do. Overall, this is a must play game on Switch. Just get it.

I have fallen in love with so many aspects of this game so far. We have been Zelda fans forever and in my opinion this is the best one yet. I like the open world environment where I don't have to follow the storyline. I really like the subtle bits of humor and attention to detail. My only frustrated point is the weak weapon system. Weapons break too quickly and not enough slots for weapons. The real problem is I may have to get a second Switch so my wife and I don't have to fight over who gets to play.

Full of mystery and wonder. This game grabs your attention right away with the story of link and the treacherous Calamity Ganon. Embark on a journey of epic proportions as Link and his task to learn about his past and save the princess Zelda.This game is pretty fantastic. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is really fun. It’s one of the only games I have played that throws you in with no reference on how to fight but once you learn there are quite a lot of possibilities for different combinations for moves! Try this game out it’s amazing!

I never thought I'd end up being so interested in geography, but in this game, every tree, every river, every mountain interests me. Unlike a standard game where there's one linear path to defeat the big bad, there is no linear path in this game (other than the very beginning). That said, I spent four hours just picking apples from trees. Then another two hours chopping wood. Then I realized there was a bad guy I had to beat and decided I'd have to cook my meals some other time. If you're into the open-ended exploration do whatever you want, this game is for you. TLDR; Game good. Waste lots of time picking apples.

The product game Breath of the Wild game is okay it's not like the old school Zelda games which are linear I'm not big into the cartoon art and the weapon system. But the storyline is good. I like the customer service at Best Buy.

Good games are popular at the time they're released, but then the hype dies in about a month. Great games last longer because of better story or more online options to let people interact, but in about a year once again it's hype dies down and is only remembered by a small crowd. The best games never lose their replayability and last for generations as amazing games. THIS is an AMAZING GAME! Enough to give skyrim a run for its money, and then some! Nintendo, kudos to you. I was worried about your future, but based on this game combined with the great console the switch is, you have turned your luck around. Bravo!

I have really enjoyed the time I have logged so far in the game. It was my main reason for purchasing a Switch (That and the rumor of a Pokemon Port) I have played most all of the Zelda games to date and this reminds me of all my fantastic Hyrule adventures. I have already explored what seems like a massive area and a lot of quests and side quests and I feel like I have only scratched the surface. Enjoyable and smooth gameplay, lots of things to discover and try, and a fantastic open world experience so far. Being able to switch play from the TV to the tablet has proven to something I do far more than I thought I would.

Wow! This is one of the best games I have ever played. I've owned nearly every Legend of Zelda game made. I am very much a fan of the games, lore and characters. This game combines the love of the LoZ storytelling and the open world of Skyrim/Fallout to create a game like no other. There are so many things to do. I got this game at launch and I have barely scratched the surface of the main story. I've been too busy getting distracted, finding treasures, and doing side quests. Highly recommend this.

Anything you think of, there is a way to do it in this game. The open world amplifies the enjoyment of exploration previous zeldas offered to an entirely new level. The graphics are beautiful, the physics fit in very well with the world, the enemies are fun and the story is fantastic. How the developers went about using dungeons in this game is creative and unique, with the smaller rooms of a typical dungeon being scattered across 120 shrines, and pivotal elements to the story being used as the main dungeons. Im continuously blown away by this game every time I play it. Do yourself a favor and pick it up if you haven't.

This is the first Zelda game I have played and now want to explore all the history and the story behind the game. This game is filled with cool game design elements, awesome puzzles and brilliant combat mechanics. The open world and non-linear nature of the story does not put pressure on the player to do any specific task. Also, the game is filled with easter eggs from previous Zelda games. You can truly spend more than 100 hours in this game and still have some missions to complete or some items to find.

Best open world game made yet, the polish is great, plays amazingly well in tablet and TV mode (with some fps drops on tv but only in certain areas). Nintendo's own clever spin in what is otherwise a saturated genre (open world action adventure) that knows when to be goofy and serious. Its very open to many people's play styles but I do warn any 100%ers that its gonna be tedious to uncover all the collectables/heart&stamina containers without any guides. I've put over 75 hours into this game so far and am only 75% done with the main story/easy to access shrines. Haven't even gone to Hyrule Castle yet!

There are no flaws to this game. Great story. Open World. Great graphics. It is as close to perfect as a game can get.

In my opinion, this is the best Switch game out there. You can do whatever you want whenever you want and are never forced to continue the story. Want to collect and cook a ton on food? Go for it! Want to power through defeating the divine beats and Ganon? Go be that hero. Want to collect every treasure from every shrine? Yes you can do that too. Hundreds of hours of play that slowly and casually reaches you how to play without being annoying about it. I haven’t played a lot of Zelda before and yet this game came naturally to me because of its great design.

THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! THE COLORS, GRAPHICS, STORY, GAME-PLAY, OPEN WORLD, EVERYTHING. THE NINTENDO SWITCH GOES PERFECTLY WITH THIS GAME. WELL DONE NINTENDO!

I have been waiting for years to play this game and after all of that time it still did not disappoint! This is fun to play. Completely new but also nostalgicly familiar. It's set up in a way that's good for those who have spent lots of time with these games or even for beginners like my boyfriend who have never played before! You can get lost exploring, cooking, creating, etc. around the world and sometimes completely forgetting about the main quests. I would recommend this game to anyone!
